General info
Survivability and armour
Describe armour protection. Note the most well protected and key weak areas. Appreciate the layout of modules as well as the number and location of crew members. Is the level of armour protection sufficient, is the placement of modules helpfull for survival in combat?
If necessary use a visual template to indicate the most secure and weak zones of the armour.
Mobility
Write about the mobility of the ground vehicle. Estimate the specific power and maneuverability as well as the maximum speed forward and backward.

Machine guns
Offensive and anti-aircraft machine guns not only allow you to fight some aircraft, but also are effective against lightly armoured vehicles. Evaluate machine guns and give recommendations on its use.
Usage in the battles
The M60A2 Starship is the perfect combination between armour, firepower, and speed. Based on the chassis of the M60, it has great mobility and armour. While the addition of the 152mm gun/launcher allows the player to reliably pierce enemy tanks armour at it's tier. The Shillelagh missile unlocks the possibility on long-range sniping, along with the powerful HEAT shell. Or if you are a more aggressive player, flank the enemy and hide your position using your smoke grenade launchers. Your low-profile commander's cupola will be a great help in close quarter combat. However reload time is not that great so immediately go back to cover after you take a shot. Suggested roles are support, sniper, and flanker.
Pros and cons
Pros:
- Very fast turret rotation.
- Turret front is hard to predictably penetrate due to its odd design.
- Has smoke launchers.
- Same ammunition as the M551 Sheridan.
- Stabilizer allows for accurate firing on the move and fast reaction time, especially for a vehicle with the ability to launch ATGMs.
Cons:
- Slow - off road the Starship struggles to reach 30 kmph on a slight downhill.
- Cannot fire from cover like the IT-1 or Raketenjagdpanzers.
- Cupola is one huge weak point sticking out up top.
- ATGM has a reload several seconds longer than normal ammunition.
- Can only hold 7 ATGM ammunition total.
History
Describe the history of the creation and combat usage of the ground vehicle in more detail than in the introduction. If the historical reference turns out to be too big, take it to a separate article, taking a link to an article about the vehicle and adding a block "/historical reference" (example: https://wiki.warthunder.com/Name-vehicles/historical reference) and add a link to it here using the main
template. Be sure to include links to sources at the end of the article.
Media
An excellent addition to the article will be video guides, as well as screenshots from the game and photos.
