Description

The T-90M is a rank Soviet medium tank with a battle rating of (AB), (RB), and (SB). It was introduced in Update "Air Superiority".

General info

Survivability and armour

Бронезащита схожа с другими образцами советско-российской техники боевого рейтинга 10.7-11.7. Более укрепленными стали щеки башни и ВЛД, куда пробить его стало крайне сложно. НЛД всё также стабильно пробивается любым ОБПС противника. Также стабильно пробивается "погон" башни при правильном попадании. Танк способен выдержать несколько пробитий, но по большой части Т-90М уничтожают с первого точного выстрела. "Прорыв" защищен комбинированной противоснарядной броней с наполнителем в виде плоскопараллельных пластин и вставок из стали повышенной твердости и других материалов. Т-90М "Прорыв" представляет собой продвинутую версию Т-90 "Владимир" – самого продаваемого танка 2000-х годов в мире. Варианты модернизации начали разрабатывать с 2004 года в рамках НИОКР "Прорыв-2". Результатом стало появление Т-90М. Дальнейшие работы осуществлялись уже в рамках новой ОКР "Прорыв-3". На "Уралвагонзаводе" использовали удачные решения прошлых моделей, исправили выявленные недостатки и учли опыт эксплуатации в войсках. Авторы The Military Balance 2022 насчитали в ВС РФ 67 единиц Т-90М.
