Description | A U.S. Navy Vought F-8D Crusader (BuNo 147047) armed with AIM-9C Sidewinder missiles over the Naval Weapons Center China Lake, California (USA), on 11 June 1963. The AIM-9C was the only radar-guided Sidewinder missile. Many were later converted to AGM-122 Sidearm anti-radiation missiles. Wiki Note: F-8D Crusader appears to be armed with two kinds of missile, a AIM-9D on top and a AIM-9C on the bottom. |
