Description

The ZTZ99 (or Type 99) is a Chinese 3rd generation main battle tank developed throughout the 1990s and entering service in the early 2000s. They share many similarities with the Soviet T-72 as well as the Chinese ZTZ96, but have generally better protection. They are currently the most capable MBTs serviced by the PLA.
