Usage in battles
This aircraft is small enough where the best way to play is to hide inside of the map behind a large hill, building, or structure, and fire your armaments against friendly or enemy players.
Pros and cons
Summarise and briefly evaluate the vehicle in terms of its characteristics and combat effectiveness. Mark its pros and cons in the bulleted list. Try not to use more than 6 points for each of the characteristics. Avoid using categorical definitions such as "bad", "good" and the like - use substitutions with softer forms such as "inadequate" and "effective".
Pros:
Highly maneuverable.
Highly effective armaments.
Cons:
Top speed leaves much to be desired.
Especially vulnerable compared to other helicopters.
History
This aircraft is very similar to the AH-6, an upcoming vehicle to the US Helicopter tree. The MD500 tow is based on the MD500 aircraft platform, whose development started in 1960 based off a handful of undeveloped designs from the 1950's. The ingame MD500 is based off of the mid/late production MD500E's from the mid and late 80's. The Israeli MD-500 Tow is not an early production, (1970's,) MD-500E.
The MD500E has seen ample combat action, and is almost identical to some variants of the MH-6 and Ah-6. You can actually buy one from the MDHelicopters website. The cheapest brand new one you can get one in real life from MD Helicopters is approximately 6,521,739,130 GE. (Around $3 million USD.)
