Usage in battles

Describe the tactics of playing in the aircraft, the features of using aircraft in a team and advice on tactics. Refrain from creating a "guide" - do not impose a single point of view, but instead, give the reader food for thought. Examine the most dangerous enemies and give recommendations on fighting them. If necessary, note the specifics of the game in different modes (AB, RB, SB).

Pros and cons

Pros:

  • Good acceleration, even fully loaded
  • Very good choice of suspended armament (including 2 AS30 Nord ATGMs)
  • Have access to a radar
  • Powerful 30 mm cannons
  • The bomb bay can be used to carry a large number of additional unguided rockets

Cons:

  • Doesn't have access to IR-guided missiles, it relies on AA20 Nords manually-guided missiles instead
  • The suspended armament is very difficult to aim due to the poor manoeuvrability of the plane (even the guided missiles)
  • At 9.0, it is very frequently uptiered against much faster, more manoeuvrable and better armed opponents (Harriers, Jaguars, etc.)
  • No ballistic computer nor bomb sight, makes the bombs hard to drop in mixed ground battles
  • Due to its poor manoeuvrability, it is very vulnerable to radar AA in mixed ground battles and to IR-guided missiles in air battles
  • The wings tend to rip quite easily when turning, if exposed to a constant load of over 7 to 8G
  • Strictly subsonic

History

Describe the history of the creation and combat usage of the aircraft in more detail than in the introduction. If the historical reference turns out to be too long, take it to a separate article, taking a link to the article about the vehicle and adding a block "/History" (example: https://wiki.warthunder.com/(Vehicle-name)/History) and add a link to it here using the main template. Be sure to reference text and sources by using <ref></ref>, as well as adding them at the end of the article with <references />. This section may also include the vehicle's dev blog entry (if applicable) and the in-game encyclopedia description (under === In-game description ===, also if applicable).

Media

Excellent additions to the article would be video guides, screenshots from the game, and photos.
