The Rheinmetall-Borsig RZ 65 (Föhn) Came in several different forms, wing mounted, nose mounted, there was even a version with a eight round magazine, The RZ 65A also known as Rauchzylinder (Smoke Cylinder) and had a diameter of 65 mm was superseded by the RZ 65B. Of which the diameter was 73 mm. The RZ 65 rocket was spin stabilised and used a solid rocket motor, which was then mounted as auxiliary armament beneath the wings of the carrier aircraft as a single launcher unit fitted to each wing.
