====Specific enemies worth noting====
 +
<!--Some concerning vehicles to worry about if playing this plane. (i.e. Japanese fighters will out turn you)-->
 +
* P-26: Especially the version that carries the M2 Brownings. Some precise shot to the wing can rip it off.
 +
* Early Spitfires: Carrying eight machine guns in their wings, a single burst of their machine guns can slice the Re.2000 plane in half if they hit the mark.
 +
* Any reserve planes: Most of the reserve planes are very good turners. They can earn back speed after multiple turns very quickly, so in a dogfight the Re.2000 might feel sluggish. Don't get baited into these turn fights and instead use the speed to fly away towards an advantageous position to attack.
 +
 +
====Counter-tactics====
 +
<!--What to expect, if it would be in command of the enemy and how to counter it. (i.e. They will most likely BnZ, etc.)-->
 +
If one is one your six, make some speed costly maneuvers, and turn onto his six. If you in a head-on against one, shoot a small burst, and escape with a barrel roll. Never try to follow one in a climb, and if one is diving on you, your maneuverability will might help you out.

The Re.2000 serie 1 is a Rank I Italian fighter with a battle rating of 2.0 (AB/SB) and 2.3 (RB). It was introduced in Update 1.77 "Advancing Storm".

This Italian plane is best used as an energy fighter, and can be a very good start to learn how to use Italian planes.

In dives, it can reach a high speed very quickly, but like every Italian plane in this rank, the aileron will be stiff after reaching 500 kph (310.7 mph) IAS.

The Re.2000 provides the best performance between 400 and 500 kph (248.5 to 310.7 mph) IAS, but in a swallow level flight the max speed the plane can achieve is between 300 and 400 kph IAS.

To be in the above mentioned speed range, climb up to 3000 meters, and then dive onto the enemy. If the enemy is more than 2 km below, cut your throttle to 0% and only increase once at the same altitude as the enemy and started to loosing speed. Diving or climbing straight at a 90 degree angle will cause the engine to shut down due to fuel cut-off.

Armaments

Offensive armament

The Re.2000 serie 1 is armed with:

  • 2 x 12.7 mm Breda-SAFAT machine guns, nose-mounted (300 rpg = 600 total)

Usage in the battles

Once in a game, climb up to 3,000 m and start gaining speed. If the enemy are in the same altitude, try to make a head-on, and if both planes survived, start climbing. When the enemy becomes slower, turn towards the enemy and dive down. If an enemy is below, dive down and attack, and if you overshoot the enemy, conduct a yo-yo maneuver to get back on their tail.

History

Describe the history of the creation and combat usage of the aircraft in more detail than in the introduction. If the historical reference turns out to be too big, take it to a separate article, taking a link to an article about the vehicle and adding a block "/ historical reference" (example: https://wiki.warthunder.com/Name-vehicles/historical reference) and add a link to it here using the main template. Be sure to include links to sources at the end of the article.

Media

An excellent addition to the article will be video guides, as well as screenshots from the game and photos.
