  • 50 mm (63°) bulletproof glass windshield
  • 8 mm steel head plate
  • 8 mm steel pilot seat

Armaments

Offensive armament

The Re.2005 serie 0 is armed with:

  • 1 x 20 mm MG 151/20 cannon, nose-mounted (200 rounds)
  • 2 x 20 mm MG 151/20 cannons, wing-mounted (200 rpg = 400 total)
  • 2 x 12.7 mm Breda-SAFAT HMG's, cowling-mounted (380 rpg = 760 total)

Two of the cannons are mounted one each in the wings with the remaining cannon being nose-mounted through the propeller spinner. Each cannon is armed with the same amount of ammunition, which means that all wing-mounted guns will fire together until empty.

Suspended armament

The Re.2005 serie 0 can be outfitted with the following ordnance:

  • 2 x 50 kg GP 50 bombs (100 kg total)
  • 2 x 100 kg GP 100 bombs (200 kg total)
  • 1 x 250 kg GP 250 bomb (250 kg total)
  • 1 x 250 kg GP 250 bomb, 2 x 50 kg GP 50 bombs (350 kg total)
  • 1 x 250 kg GP 250 bomb, 2 x 100 kg GP 100 bombs (450 kg total)
  • 1 x 500 kg GP 500 bomb (500 kg total)
  • 1 x 500 kg GP 500 bomb, 2 x 50 kg GP 50 bombs (600 kg total)
  • 1 x 500 kg GP 500 bomb, 2 x 100 kg GP 100 bombs (700 kg total)

Usage in battles

Describe the tactics of playing in the aircraft, the features of using aircraft in a team and advice on tactics. Refrain from creating a "guide" - do not impose a single point of view, but instead, give the reader food for thought. Examine the most dangerous enemies and give recommendations on fighting them. If necessary, note the specifics of the game in different modes (AB, RB, SB).

Pros and cons

Summarise and briefly evaluate the vehicle in terms of its characteristics and combat effectiveness. Mark its pros and cons in the bulleted list. Try not to use more than 6 points for each of the characteristics. Avoid using categorical definitions such as "bad", "good" and the like - use substitutions with softer forms such as "inadequate" and "effective".

Pros:

  • Powerful armament
  • Good maneuverability
  • Good rate of climb
  • Wider payload options than the G.55

Cons:
