The Leopard 2A3 featured SEM80/90 digital radio sets (which were being added to Leopard 1s as well). The fourth batch of 300 vehicles consisted of the Leopard 2A3 variant; 165 were built by Krauss-Maffei and 135 were built by Mak. They were delivered between December 1984 and December 1985. The Leopard 2A3 featured SEM80/90 digital radio sets (which were being added to Leopard 1s as well). Additionally, the ammunition reloading hatches were welded shut.
