The tank also has the coaxial 7.62 DT MG which can be used to shoot at aircraft (don't expect to do much to them) or to injure/knock out exposed crew members in open vehicles (Marder III series, ZiS-30 and various SPAA vehicles). The gun's vertical guidance makes for good elevation but poor depression. For example, most of the German and USA tanks of the rank have -10° depression angle. On the other hand, you can try your luck as SPAA and take down some low-flying attackers/bombers with the main gun. Also, it's worth mentioning that positioning the gun over the engine deck will make your depression even worse, only about -1°. This is due to engine deck cover plates being in the way of your gun mantlet. The area is 90° wide and it may cause some trouble if the enemy gets right on your rear, rendering you unable to hit the desired spot.
