+By late 1980s, NORINCO has successfully developed a 155 mm GC-45 based howitzer based on the Austrian design by Gerald Bull; to further fit the requirements of PLAGF for extended range, engineers built a XP52-155 howitzer and eventually been selected as the main armament of PLZ05 by its introduction. To also ensure the rate of fire, engineers also reverse-engineered the autoloader on 2S19 Msta-S with revisions for reliability and dimensions. The 30 round carousel can ensure continuous rate of fire at every 7.5 second per shot; with the varieties of shells onboard and rather high velocity, referring the PL05-155 as a "railway cannon" is applicable, do remember to hide the carousel from direct fire as the unit is connected directly to the combat compartment, any critical hit on the unit can  either disable the unit or detonate the turret to sky-high altitude.
