+The M-30 (122 mm) was a soviet built 122 mm howitzer designed by the bureau of Motovilikha Plants. Its design was headed by Fyodor Fyodorovich Petrov in the late 1930s and went into production from 1939 to 1955. The howitzer piece was used in World War II, mainly as a divisional artillery piece in the Soviet Red Army. It was also captured and used by the German Wehrmacht and the Finnish army and used in the respective armies.
