-The [[Browning (7.62 mm)|Browning M1919]] is a venerable machine gun designed by the legendary gunsmith, John Moses Browning. The design was originally a water-cooled machine gun used by the American Expeditionary Force in World War I, but the designed was modified to be air-cooled in 1919 to fit inside a tank. Colt firearms would soon manufacture a lighter version of the M1919 which would see as a machine with the aid of Belgian company Fabrique Nationale. Sweden would order the M1919 from Colt for their army aviation branch in 1922 which got the gun designated the ''Flygplanskulspruta'' m/22 or "Aircraft Machine Gun Model of 1922". First produced by Colt, Sweden would later got a production license to make the Ksp m/22 domestically. The guns would see some changes over their service in Sweden. In 1926, the army aviation branch was replaced by an independent air force arm and the guns were subsequently transferred to the new organization. Similarly, the guns were originally chambered in 6.5x55mm Swedish which was adopted in 1894. However, Sweden took notice to the Russo-Japanese War and World War I and realized they needed a newer, more powerful cartridge. After testing from 1927 until it was adopted in 1932, the Ksp m/22 machine guns were all rechambered for 8x63mm patron m/32. Sweden would also make variants of the Ksp m/22. For use in turrets, they made the [[Ksp m/22 Fh (8 mm)|Ksp m/22 Fh]] and [[Ksp m/22 Fv (8 mm)|Ksp m/22 Fv]] which fed from the left and right sides respectively. Later in 1937, they would develop a saddle tray or sedlovém for their ammunition leading to the [[Ksp m/22-37 R (8 mm)|Ksp m/22-37 R]].
