The '''{{Specs|name}}''' is a rank {{Specs|rank}} Italian bomber {{Battle-rating}}. It was introduced in [[Update 1.85 "Supersonic"]].

The Italian version of the [[Ju 87 R-2]] is quite similar to the German version, with some minor differences in terms of speed and flight performance. Additionally, the Italian version has different payload options as it carries different types of bombs. so it cannot carry the 1000kg bomb but it can carry some 50kg bombs underneath the wings. it has 2x7.92mm Machine guns and a single 7.92mm machine gun on the turret operated by the gunner. although this seems unimpressive, this armament is on par with most fighters at its tier and the rear Mg, even with its blind spots, its decent enough to shake off some fighters
The Ju 87 R-2 isn't very manoeuvrable with bombs attached, but it can dance with a fighter f it has the energy and has dropped the bombs

The '''''{{PAGENAME}}''''' is defended by:

* 1 x 7.92 mm MG 15 machine gun, dorsal turret (900 rpg)
== Usage in battles ==
<!-- ''Describe the tactics of playing in the aircraft, the features of using aircraft in a team and advice on tactics. Refrain from creating a "guide" - do not impose a single point of view, but instead, give the reader food for thought. Examine the most dangerous enemies and give recommendations on fighting them. If necessary, note the specifics of the game in different modes (AB, RB, SB).'' -->
'''Dive-bomber'''

The main use of this aircraft is to attack ground targets. "soft" targets such AI AAA guns, Howitzers, Artillery, Trucks and light armored cars can be destroyed with the forward-firing 7.92mm MG's, and you can destroy heavier ground targets with bombs such as Pillboxes, AI or player controlled tanks. It can carry a max of 1 x 500 Kg Bombs + 4 x 50kg. you get 3 drops, two of the 50kg bombs (that drop in pairs) and a single 500kg drop. the two drops of the 50kg's drop without delay (this means that as soon as you press the space-bar the bombs drop without delay) but the 500kg bomb drops differently. the bomb sit on a pair of arms that take the bomb outwards and then it drops, this means that there is a little delay between you press the space-bar and the bomb fall. so keep in mind that you have to drop the bomb a bit earlier and keep going in the same trajectory.

'''Fighter'''

the Ju-87 R-2 can be a decently maneuverable without any bombs, and as it usually faces biplanes, the armament of two low-caliber guns is not really underwhelming. so as soon as the match starts drop the bombs and climb at 220kph, (i suggest taking only the 250kg as the extra pods for carrying the wing bombs can create extra drag, although if you forget is not a catastrophic mistake). because of the air-spawn you will be higher than most fighters, and then you can boom and zoom them. this tactic benefits greatly from flying with a squad

'''Manual Engine Control'''
{| class="wikitable" style="text-align:center"
=== Pros and cons ===
<!-- ''Summarise and briefly evaluate the vehicle in terms of its characteristics and combat effectiveness. Mark its pros and cons in the bulleted list. Try not to use more than 6 points for each of the characteristics. Avoid using categorical definitions such as "bad", "good" and the like - use substitutions with softer forms such as "inadequate" and "effective".'' -->

'''Pros:'''

* More diverse payload options than its German counterpart
* the rear Mg can be useful
* decently maneuverable without any bombs.
* decent amount of ammo for the MG's
* Good visibility on cockpit view for simulator

'''Cons:'''

* Maximum payload is less than the German [[Ju 87 R-2]]
* Main bomb release mechanism takes time to release
* although maneuverable, not enough to out maneuver most fighters
This aircraft has been in the game since update [[Update 1.85 "Supersonic"|Update 1.85 "Supersonic"]]. As of update 1.85, it is the last Reggiane available for research and provides a notable upgrade over the previous models with the inclusion of two [[MG 151/20 (20 mm)]] (German Bias launchers) cannons mounted in the wings in place of the underwhelming 7.7 mm Breda-SAFAT's.
<!--''Describe how the aircraft behaves in the air. Maximum speed, manoeuvrability, speed and allowable loads - these are the most important characteristics of the vehicle.''-->
The Re.2001 CN provides an overall smooth flying experience, with a competitive turn rate, solid all-altitude performance, good elevator authority, moderate climb rate and powerful armament. However, the Falco II is plagued by several critical weaknesses. Its speed is quite lacking when compared to contemporary fighters like the BF 109's, Spitfires, and most American fighters you will encounter. It also has a relatively weak airframe and large, easy to hit fuel tanks.

In short, the Falco is a plane which requires an able and smart pilot in order to make the most out of it, but when used correctly, it can be a fearful machine.
* More fuel tanks located in wings near the fuselage
* Fuel tank in the fuselage behind the pilot
== Armaments ==
=== Offensive armament ===
<!--''Describe the offensive armament of the aircraft, if any. Describe how effective the cannons and machine guns are in a battle, and also what belts or drums are better to use. If there is no offensive weaponry, delete this subsection.''-->

The '''''{{PAGENAME}}''''' is armed with:

* 2 x 12.7 mm Breda-SAFAT machine guns, nose mounted (350 rpg = 700 total)
* 2 x 20 mm MG 151/20 cannons, wing mounted (60 rpg = 120 total)

=== Suspended armament ===
<!--''Describe the aircraft's suspended armament: additional cannons under the wings, bombs, rockets and torpedoes. This section is especially important for bombers and attackers. If there is no suspended weaponry remove this subsection.''-->
{{main|GP 250 (250 kg)}}

The '''''{{PAGENAME}}''''' can be outfitted with the following ordinance:

*Without load
* 1 x 250 kg GP 250 bomb (250 kg total)

== Usage in battles ==
<!--''Describe the tactics of playing in an aircraft, the features of using vehicles in a team and advice on tactics. Refrain from creating a "guide" - do not impose a single point of view but give the reader food for thought. Examine the most dangerous enemies and give recommendations on fighting them. If necessary, note the specifics of the game in different modes (AB, RB, SB).''-->The Re.2001 is a very manoeuvrable plane with decent performance at all altitudes. The great MG 151's, respectable climb rate, and good high altitude performance allow it to be an effective interceptor, but due to its ability to mount a single 250 kg bomb, it can be a fighter bomber that can drop its payload and then join the furball as a regular fighter. Generally speaking, don't use the Breda-SAFAT's as main weapons, as they have very poor ballistics from farther than 300 meters. To make effective use of the Breda's, use them as scouting weapons to line up shots with your MG 151, as using as little 20 mm rounds as possible to destroy a plane is very important due to the low ammo count.

Be sure to avoid Spitfires and Yak's at low altitudes as they are the kings of dogfighting below 3,000 meters. If one attempts to fight you above 4,000 meters, either make use of their weak airframes and low speed at altitude to Boom-&-Zoom them or try to take a risk and turn fight them. The main reason the Re.2001 can turn fight with Spitfires and Yaks is due to its already good manoeuvrability made better by its combat flaps and decent rudder. The most common ones you will encounter are Spitfire Mk Ia and Mk IIa's and Yak-1's, Yak-7's and early Yak-9's.
The stock Breda-SAFAT belts are very poor, containing mostly ball ammunition which is relatively useless, so be sure to upgrade those first. The belts for the Breda's themselves are quite good, but the potential damage is limited by the low muzzle velocity and poor ballistics beyond 300 meters. The most important modules are Engine injection, 20 mm belts/cannons, Engine, Compressor, Wing repair then the survivability modules to help remedy the weak airframe of the Falco II.
=== Pros and cons ===
<!--''Summarize and briefly evaluate the vehicle in terms of its characteristics and combat effectiveness. Mark its pros and cons in the bulleted list. Try not to use more than 6 points for each of the characteristics. Avoid using categorical definitions such as "bad", "good" and the like - they have a substitution in the form of softer "inadequate", "effective".''-->

'''Pros:'''

* Solid all-altitude performance
* Twin MG 151's with access to the dreaded minengeshoβ round
* Responsive elevator
* 50 mm bulletproof glass
* Good turn rate
* Respectable climb rate
* Can mount a 250 kg bomb for Ground-Pounding duties
* Lucrative matchmaking for its potential
* Good energy retention
* R.A.1000 is basically a more powerful and reliable DB 601
* Small target
* Decent roll rate at intermediate speeds
* Solid high-speed manoeuvrability
* Can remain competitive when up-tiered
* Has combat flaps, unlike some of its rivals

'''Cons:'''

* Weak Breda-SAFAT's
* Cannons are mounted in the wings, resulting in significant convergence.
* Low cannon ammo count
* Mediocre speed compared to contemporary fighters
* Large, easy to hit fuel tanks
* Engine is vulnerable to damage
* Weak airframe

<!--''Describe the history of the creation and combat usage of the aircraft in more detail than in the introduction. The Reggiane Re.2001 was designed to be a replacement for the failed Re.2000, and did away with the weak Piaggio P.IX radial, in favour of a new, more powerful R.A.1000RC.41-1a Inline (which was a fiat built, more powerful and reliable DB 601A, the same engine used in the early BF 109's). Other than the engine and shape of the nose, there were no real notable changes between the Falco I and Falco II. The Falco II retained a fairly similar fuselage and even kept the entire tail unit. While considered to be equal to the Macchi MC.202, the MC.202 had the first call on the R.A.1000, and the Re.2001 was delayed by several design changes the Italian army insisted on, giving the MC.202 almost a full year head-start on its rival, leading to more Macchi fighters being produced than Reggiane fighters.

Despite its late introduction and production issues, it received a mostly positive reception from the Italian pilots, as it was proven to be a thorn in the side of Spitfire and Hurricane pilots. Jack Rae, the best New Zealand Spitfire pilot, exclaimed that the Re.2001 he encountered was a surprisingly dangerous opponent, saying that he almost "spun off" twice while trying to pursue him and found it hard to get an excellent shot on the Italian plane.

The CN variant was a Night Fighter and Fighter Bomber able to mount an optional payload of 640 kg's and fitted with two Mauser MG 151/20's in gondolas under the wings and was primarily used in defence of Italian cities.
This pre-war design was intended to be the standard Italian medium tank, equipping medium tank battalions in the armoured divisions. However, the positioning of the medium-velocity 37mm main armament in a limited-traverse hull mounting was short-sighted and quickly lost favour. The tank had no radio. Only 100 were built before Italy moved on to the M13/40. Twenty-four served, in 4-tank platoons, with the Medium Special Tank Company (Compagnia Speciale Carri M) in the East African Armored Task Force in Italian East Africa until the Italians there were defeated in June 1941. Another 70 were deployed with the 1st and 2nd Medium Tank Battalions, which deployed to Libya in summer, 1940, and were all either destroyed or captured by British forces by early February 1941.
== Usage in battles ==
''Describe the tactics of playing in the vehicle, the features of using vehicles in the team and advice on tactics. Refrain from creating a "guide" - do not impose a single point of view but give the reader food for thought. Describe the most dangerous enemies and give recommendations on fighting them. If necessary, note the specifics of the game in different modes (AB, RB, SB).''

=== Pros and cons ===
<!--''Summarize and briefly evaluate the vehicle in terms of its characteristics and combat effectiveness. Mark its pros and cons in a bulleted list. Try not to use more than 6 points for each of the characteristics. Avoid using categorical definitions such as "bad", "good" and the like - they have a substitution in the form of softer "inadequate", "effective".''-->

'''Pros:'''

* High power zoom of 8x-16.1x with the scope
* 2 machine guns available for use
* 39° per second machine gun turret traverse, makes for fairly good anti aircraft gun
* Decent gun for the BR
* Low muzzle velocity makes for good aiming training

'''Cons:'''

* Armament penetration stats are overall inadequate
* 4.1 s reload time is a downgrade from the previous vehicle
* Slow muzzle velocity needs some time to get used to (especially RB)
* Relatively underpowered engine, especially
*

== History ==
<!--''Describe the history of the creation and combat usage of the ground vehicle in more detail than in the introduction. If the historical reference turns out to be too big, take it to a separate article, taking a link to an article about the vehicle and adding a block "/ History" (example: <nowiki>https://wiki.warthunder.com/(Vehicle-name)/History</nowiki>) and add a link to it here using the <code>main</code> template. Be sure to reference text and sources by using <code><nowiki><ref></nowiki></code>, as well as adding them at the end of the article.''-->

<!-- ''Examine the survivability of the aircraft. Note how vulnerable the structure is and how secure the pilot is, whether the fuel tanks are armoured, etc. Describe the armour, if there is any, and also mention the vulnerability of other critical aircraft systems.'' -->

* 8 mm Steel plate in pilot's seat.

For an attacker aircraft, the {{PAGENAME}} is in a unique situation that it is not outfitted with various armour plates and bulletproof glass as one might expect, however, this aircraft has only one armour plate and that is the 8 mm steel plate located behind the pilot's seat. This steel plate helps protect the pilot from largely machine gun fire from the rear quadrant, but that is about it. Since this version of the Yak-2 was modified from the original version and very few were built, what would typically be later additions never made it to the aircraft. As such, the plexiglass cockpit windows all around the pilot including the entire front face are just standard plexiglass and this makes it very dangerous when manoeuvring into a head-on attack. Such attacks should be avoided as not only is the pilot vulnerable to being knocked out, but both engines are unprotected and could take damage and typically any damage taken from a head-on attack results in critical damage or total failure of the hit component (though the aircraft can fly on one engine, it cannot continue if the pilot is knocked out).

== Armaments ==
=== Offensive armament ===
[[File:Yak-2 KABB jonigustavo 004.jpg|400px|thumb|right|A '''{{PAGENAME}}''' gaining altitude after a ground attack.]]
<!-- ''Describe the offensive armament of the aircraft, if any. Describe how effective the cannons and machine guns are in a battle, and also what belts or drums are better to use. If there is no offensive weaponry, delete this subsection.'' -->
{{main|ShVAK (20 mm)|ShKAS (7.62 mm)}}

The '''''{{PAGENAME}}''''' is armed with:

* 2 x 20 mm ShVAK cannons, chin-mounted (150 rpg = 300 total)
* 2 x 7.62 mm ShKAS machine guns, chin-mounted (500 rpg = 1,000 total)

The {{PAGENAME}} is unique compared to many other fighters and attackers found in War Thunder in that its machine guns and autocannons are mounted in a ventral turret just below the cockpit. All guns are forward-facing which allow for the pilot to fire at any distance without having to worry about calculating for convergence, just for the bullet drop of the ammunition. If all four guns are fired at the same time, the ShVAK cannons will run out of ammunition first, which can be a problem when attacking an enemy aircraft as they are the harder-hitting weapons. The machine guns by themselves can take down another fighter, however it either takes well-placed shots for a pilot snipe or critical damage to the coolers or engine, otherwise, the enemy aircraft will typically just soak up the machine gun rounds.

=== Suspended armament ===
<!-- ''Describe the aircraft's suspended armament: additional cannons under the wings, bombs, rockets and torpedoes. This section is especially important for bombers and attackers. If there is no suspended weaponry remove this subsection.'' -->
{{main|FAB-100 (100 kg)}}

The '''''{{PAGENAME}}''''' can be outfitted with the following ordnance:

* Without load
* 4 x 100 kg FAB-100 bombs (400 kg total)

If the {{PAGENAME}} is to solely be used as a fighter/bomber interceptor, select the option "Without load" as the 400 kg of bombs will hinder the performance of the aircraft in its ability to manoeuvre effectively. When going for the ground-attack role, selecting the 4 x 100 kg bombs will allow the {{PAGENAME}} to attack lighter ground targets such as trucks, anti-aircraft artillery and light tanks. This load of bombs is less effective when it comes to bombing bases, instead, it should be relegated for one-off targets which are typically scattered around the map. If the bombs don't take out all of the targets, it is easy to turn the attacker around and eliminate the rest of the targets with the autocannons and machine guns.

== Usage in battles ==
<!-- ''Describe the tactics of playing in an aircraft, the features of using vehicles in a team and advice on tactics. Refrain from creating a "guide" - do not impose a single point of view, but instead, give the reader food for thought. Examine the most dangerous enemies and give recommendations on fighting them. If necessary, note the specifics of the game in different modes (AB, RB, SB).'' -->

In Ground RB, the Yak-2 can act as an excellent fighter, as it excels in low-altitude combat. You can also exploit the 4 x FAB-100s on board to hit light targets like TDs and SPAAs. The Yak-2 is highly manoeuvrable and fast at the low altitudes of dogfights in the game mode and the twin ShVAK cannons will shred enemy airframes, although take care on expelling too much ammunition as you can only carry 150 rounds per cannon. Do not attempt heavy dives as the controls easily lock up, and the cockpit has no forward-facing protection, so head-on attacks are very risky. Despite its size and use as an attacker, no defensive armament exists on the aircraft.

'''Pros:'''

* Multi-role - fighter/ground attacker
* Very manoeuvrable at low altitudes, excellent for higher altitude Boom & Zoom
* Powerful armament it consists of 2 ShVAKs Cannons and 2 ShKAS machine guns ventral mounted (no need to adjust for convergence)
* Armament is more than adequate to destroy enemy aircraft
* Good speed it allows it to be used as both a fighter and bomber interceptor
* Can actually be used as a heavy fighter
* Decent rate of climb

'''Cons:'''

* Payload option is only 4 x 100 kg bomb, limited to only destroying light targets
* No defensive armaments
* Although the manoeuvrability is redeeming, important to keep up its speed
* The cockpit doesn't have armoured plexiglass, head-on attacks are very dangerous
* Engines are easily damaged/water-cooled
* Controls stiffen in high-speed dives
* Rudder controlled manoeuvres difficult due to the small surface area on the vertical stabilizers
[[File:Yak-2 KABB an trn 26 001.png|450px|thumb|right|]]

George Mozharovsky and Ivan Venevidov (MV) were two renowned designers of aircraft armament. They specialized in developing and building many variants of reloading systems, targeting sights, weapon suspensions systems, bomb deployment mounts and the "MV" series of aircraft gun turrets. In late 1940, Mozharovsky and Venevidov invented a new type of gun mount for attack aircraft called the "комбинированной артиллерийско-бомбардировочной батареей" (Russian for "Combined artillery-bomb battery") or KABB for short which was mounted to the ventral side of the aircraft. The premise behind this gun mount was it utilized two 20-mm ShVAK cannons and two ShKAS machine guns and the cannons could be pivoted mechanically from horizontal to downside of a maximum of 30 degrees. The cannons pivoted electrically while they were connected to the K-8T gun sight which pivoted mechanically tracking with the cannons, automatically adjusting as the cannons moved. The cannons could be fixed at an intermediate position between the 0 and 30-degree range. This system allowed the pilot to maintain horizontal flight and set up for his bombing run while suppressing the target with cannon fire at the same time. Hence the name for "combined artillery-bomb battery."

Installation of the KABB-MV system into the Yak-2 required significant modifications to the main fuselage and cockpit. The nose of the aircraft was removed along with part of the side panels to allow for the installation of plexiglass, significantly improving the visual field of the pilot. Bomber controls were also relocated into the pilot’s cockpit due to the navigator/bomber/gunner position being removed. Because of the installation of the fixed and movable frames of the KABB system and addition of ammunition cartridge boxes, the floor of the navigator’s cabin was removed.

Tests of this new system in March to April 1941 produced favourable results, with recommendations to attach this new system to single and double-engined aircraft. Unfortunately, the German invasion in June 1941 halted all prototype work to focus on the enemy threat.
== Description ==
<!--''In the description, the first part needs to be about the history of the creation and combat usage of the vehicle, as well as its key features. In the second part, tell the reader about the ground vehicle in the game. Insert the screenshot of the vehicle. If the novice player does not remember the vehicle by name, they will immediately understand what kind of vehicle it is talking about.''-->
{{break}}
The '''{{Specs|name}}''' is a Rank {{Specs|rank}} British Self-Propelled Anti-Aircraft Gun {{Battle-rating|1}}. It was introduced in [[Update 1.55 "Royal Armour"]] along with the rest of the British tree.

This is a low rank British AA car, which, while lacking armour, can pack quite the punch. It has two 20mm autocannons on its turret, and good maneuverability and speed. Unlike the AA of many other countries at this rank, this is a closed top vehicle, and performs well in anti-tank roles.

== General info ==
=== Survivability and armour ===
<!--''Describe armour protection. Note the most well protected and key weak areas. Appreciate the layout of modules as well as the number and location of crew members. Is the level of armour protection sufficient, is the placement of modules helpfull for survival in combat?''

''If necessary use a visual template to indicate the most secure and weak zones of the armour.''-->
The AC Mk II AA lacks armour, although it is protected from most smaller caliber machine guns at its battle rating. It is advisable to attempt to position yourself above an enemy, so that: A) they will have a lower ability to see you, and B) so that they will most likely end up shooting the lower part of the tank, which juts out. If they shoot here with an AP shell, it will most likely go straight through and merely take out your transmission.

'''Armour type:'''
=== Mobility ===
<!--''Write about the mobility of the ground vehicle. Estimate the specific power and maneuverability as well as the maximum speed forward and backward.''-->
The AC Mk II AA is decently maneuverable and has high top speeds, especially on the road. ''Warning'': do '''not''' attempt to drive this vehicle on the snow or sand, as it will go more slowly than most heavy tanks at its BR.
{{main|Oerlikon Mk.II (20 mm)}}

The AC Mk II AA sports a dual-mount 20mm autocannons, which excels at devastating planes and even light or medium tanks. The AP rounds provided will shred through almost anything, and it is always advisable to take these. Additionally, these allow you to down heavy bombers.
== Usage in the battles ==
<!--''Describe the tactics of playing in the vehicle, the features of using vehicles in the team and advice on tactics. Refrain from creating a "guide" - do not impose a single point of view but give the reader food for thought. Describe the most dangerous enemies and give recommendations on fighting them. If necessary, note the specifics of the game in different modes (AB, RB, SB).''-->
The AC Mk II AA can be used as a support tank in most battles and excels at ambushes. It works well at holding down a capture point, or setting traps along roads. It is advisable to always stay near allies so that you can receive help if necessary. If you choose to play the original role of anti-aircraft, make sure to stay in an open (but safe) area, allowing you full range of fire. Sometimes it is advisable to "harass" planes by giving scattered fire to make them think you are a light tank, and then pretending you don't notice them turning to attack you. Aim down the scope until they are within firing range, and shred them to pieces before they have time to react.

Due to the heavy ammunition consumption as SPAA in AA fights, stay at an allied capture point to get free ammunition reload during battle.

=== Tactis for heavily armoured vehicles ===
When you en counter someone that can't Pierce your armour, you can't kill him, but you can inmobalise them by hitting their tracks, and then you should either wait until an allied vehicle comes, drop artillery or aim to weakspots, you may choose one of these depending on the target.

===Modules===
Like every other vehicle, the "Parts" and "FPE" modifications should be prioritised so you won't lose your vehicle due to being disabled. After that, prioritise ammunition, aiming for "APT". Everything else is still essential to upgrading the vehicle.

=== Pros and cons ===
<!--''Summarize and briefly evaluate the vehicle in terms of its characteristics and combat effectiveness. Mark its pros and cons in a bulleted list. Do not use more than 6 points for each of the characteristics. Avoid using categorical definitions such as "bad", "good" and the like - they have a substitution in the form of softer "inadequate", "effective".''-->
'''Pros:'''

* Excellent rate of fire
* Fast and mobile with good acceleration
* Closed top, can't be strafed from the sky or hit by artillery shrapnel
* Good turret armour
* Fast turret rotation speed
* 20 mm cannon velocity gives good anti-air capability
* Can decimate lightly armoured tank destroyers

'''Cons:'''

* Useless against heavily armoured tanks
* Low ammo capacity can't allow for reckless firing
* Poor hull armour
* Taller than other vehicles, making it a large target (easier to hit)
* Has wheels, therefore it can't turn on the spot
* Terrible at driving off-road and on sand or mud
* Turret ring is fairly large, therefore it may become jammed often if hit
* Not enough gun depression (be careful when getting up hills)

== History ==
<!--''Describe the history of the creation and combat usage of the ground vehicle in more detail than in the introduction. If the historical reference turns out to be too big, take it to a separate article, taking a link to an article about the vehicle and adding a block "/historical reference" (example: https://wiki.warthunder.com/Name-vehicles/historical reference) and add a link to it here using the <code>main</code> template. Be sure to include links to sources at the end of the article.''-->
===Development===
The basis of the armoured car comes from Associated Equipment Company (AEC) of Southall, Middlesex. AEC was a manufacturer of truck and bus chassis and the Matador artillery tractor. The armoured car was privately developed in 1941 and was based off the Matador. The design was shown to British officials in the same year during the Horse Guards Parade and was received favourably by many, including Winston Churchill. Orders started filing in for the armoured car, and AEC tried to give it comparable firepower to current tanks at the time. Thus, the first version, Mk.I, came with a turret adapted from the [[Valentine Mk I|Valentine tank]] equipped with the 2-pounder. The next version, Mk.II, had this upgraded with a heavier turret and a 6-pounder gun, then with the QF 75 mm gun on the Mk.III. An anti-aircraft version using the same turret from the [[Crusader AA Mk II|Crusader AA Mk II]] and the twin Oerlikon guns was also developed onto the armoured car. During its production life from 1942 to 1943, 629 Armoured cars in total were built.

===Combat usage===
The Armoured cars equipped with the tank guns were used in North Africa in late 1942. Some on-field modifications include changing out the Valentine turret for a [[Crusader Mk III|Crusader]] turret with the 6-pounder. The armoured cars continued to see fighting in various parts of Europe in combination with other armoured cars and remained in service until replaced by the Alvis Saladin in 1958.

Though the anti-aircraft version was made, it never entered production due to the growing Allied air superiority over the Axis forces, making the anti-aircraft version unnecessary to guard the advancing Allied units from air attacks.
