Generally, the J2M4 performs similarly to the early Fw 190 A variants, having a deadly armament, good roll rate, low top speed, but higher climb rate. Use what the Raiden does best to achieve success - energy fighting. Instead of turn fighting or bleeding all built up energy or speed in turns, attack enemies from a higher altitude and then regain that altitude once the attack has been delivered. The J2M4 excels at Boom &amp;amp; Zoom due to its high rate of climb and deadly armament, even more so than its earlier variants, the J2M2 and J2M3.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The Raiden's main downside is its lack of manoeuvrability. Similar to its German counterpart, the [[Fw 190 A-8]], the Raiden struggles to beat enemies in turn fights, especially Spitfires. If caught in a sticky situation, the Raiden pilot may choose to dive away or seek help from teammates. Trying to fight an enemy Spitfire in a turn battle with the J2M is a terrible idea, unless the enemy aircraft is damaged or many teammates are nearby. Moreover, the J2M's high speed manoeuvrability is poor, making the entire aircraft lock up. It can be very difficult to pull out of a dive, roll, or turn when at high speeds with the J2M. The Raiden's manoeuvrability is more or less on par with its enemies in simulator battles, for the most part.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The Raiden pilot may also find themselves outrun by high altitude aircraft such as the [[P-51D-5|P-51 D-5 Mustang]]. All these aircraft have to do to avoid the J2M is dive away and build up speed. Fortunately, the J2M4 has a surprise - a massive ammunition pool totaling 800 rounds. That's 800 rounds of high explosive cannon ammunition that can be dispensed at will towards fleeing enemies. With good aim and practice, it is possible to &amp;quot;snipe&amp;quot; enemies from a kilometre away.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Featuring four 20 mm cannons, 2 Type 99 Mk 1 and 2 Type 99 Mk 2 cannons with plenty of ammunition, the J2M4 is capable of destroying all kinds of aircraft. Although destroying heavy bombers like the B-29 Superfortress takes a lot of ammunition, the J2M4 can afford to lose some. The &amp;quot;Stealth&amp;quot; belt has the best combination of AP/API and HEF to shred enemy aircraft, and are recommended for those who do not need a tracer shell to aim. Alternatively, for those not used to IJN 20 mm cannons, the &amp;quot;Universal&amp;quot; belt is your best bet. The &amp;quot;Tracer&amp;quot; belt is filled with HEFT shells, but they only contain half of the power of a standard HEF, and can give away your position.&lt;br /&gt;

Overall, the Raiden is best used as a support or surprise intercept, high altitude, high damage output interceptor (not a dedicaded fighter). While it does not excel in the speed, manoeuvrability categories or climbing, it makes up for that in armament. As the development behind the 14-Shi Interceptor ([[J2M2]] and [[J2M3]]) were disappointing in performance and didn't achieve it's projected goal, Mitsubishi set up a new goal with the availability of newer and stronger engines, this would be called under the 14-Shi Kai Interceptor.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Jiro Horikoshi and his team redesigned the nose of the plane to hold the new Kasei 23c engine and with this prototype they achieved the requested goal, this plane would be known as the J2M4, Raiden Model 32. It solved the engine vibrations and the cooling system was more reliable compared to that of the previous models. It would still preserve the same electrical malfunctions to the landing gear which didn't get redesigned as the engine and its performance were a more pressing issue.&lt;br /&gt;

This progress allowed Mitsubishi to further develop the Raiden and so they would with the Kasei 26a, equipping it in the [[J2M5|J2M5, Raiden Model 33]].&lt;br /&gt;

Trying to fight an enemy Spitfire in a turn battle with the J2M is a terrible idea, unless the enemy aircraft is damaged or many teammates are nearby. Moreover, the J2M's high speed manoeuvrability is poor, making the entire aircraft lock up. It can be very difficult to pull out of a dive, roll, or turn when at high speeds with the J2M. The Buccaneer is a large target with no armour. The fuel tanks are all mounted in the upper fuselage (above the bomb bay) and although a relatively small target the engines are exposed (mounted not far back from the air intakes). The Buccaneer is a fully air-to-ground plane with very limited defensive capabilities against aircraft, with no interceptor or bomber spawn. It should never be used to attack enemy aircraft despite having the AIM-9B. These missiles are meant to be used in defence if there is a chance to get behind the enemy who is engaging the aircraft or against helicopters in combined battles. Using the Buccaneer as a fighter will quickly lead to death.&lt;br /&gt;

Flares also take up the two outer-most pylons of the plane. The recommended payload for a fair trade in speed, firepower and defensive capabilities is the &amp;quot;104 x Flares + 10 x 1,000 lb G.P. The Blackburn Buccaneer was a response to the threatening expansion the Soviet Navy was having at the time. This expansion was the main menace to ships in the Atlantic, especially merchant ships. Thus, the British MoD opted to utilize their already existing naval weaponry and not make a new fleet to counter this expansion. In 1952, the preliminary requirements were set out: a carrier based two-seat jet with maximum speed of 550 knots and combat range of 400 nautical miles, able to carry 8,000 lb of both conventional weaponry and special weaponry such as the Red Beard free-fall nuclear bomb and the Green Cheese anti-ship missile. First responses were made in 1953 and the first prototyping of the Buccaneer was made. It was codenamed BNA (Blackburn Naval Aircraft) or BANA (Blackburn Advanced Naval Aircraft) which lead to the nickname &amp;quot;Banana jet&amp;quot;. The first flight of the prototype was made in 1958. This turned into a successful aircraft and was produced under the name of Buccaneer S.1 and served with the FAA in 1963. It was powered by a pair of de Havilland Gyron Junior turbojets. Despite the success of the aircraft, the thrust generated by these engines was lacklustre and failed to achieve the required lift in order to carry the aircraft with full armament and fuel load. This could be resolved by taking the required amount of fuel needed to rendezvous with an aerial refuelling aircraft. While being a solution, it was inefficient as the low thrust generated by both engines while depending on lift blow marked a serious danger.&lt;br /&gt;

In 1979, some Buccaneers were fitted with the AN/AVQ-23 Pave Spike laser designator pod for the Paveway II laser guided bombs.&lt;br /&gt;

In October 1962, 16 aircraft were ordered for the South African Air force named as Buccaneer S.50, these were retrofitted Buccaneer S.2 with Bristol Siddeley BS.605 rocket engines to provide additional take-off thrust. South African Air Force was also the only export operator of the Buccaneer. They acquired the Buccaneers in the Simontown Agreement. South Africa purchased 20 more Buccaneers but the British Government blocked the proposition. The South African Buccaneers were used in a maritime strike role using the French AS-30 Anti Ship missiles. In March 1971, A few Buccaneers launched 12 AS-30s at the stricken tanker Wafra but luckily for the ship and unluckily for the South African pilots, the missiles failed to sink the Wafra. The AS-30s were also capable of  ground attack roles and were very effective. The Buccaneers were used extensively in the South African Border War often flying over Angola and Namibia bombing and attacking guerrilla forces and their camps. The Buccaneers would also provide Close Air Support for the ground troops . During the Battle for Cassinga, Buccaneers were used to destroy armoured vehicles of the SWAPO and covering the retreat of the South African troops. At the Buccaneer's retirement in 1991, only 5 Buccaneers remained in SAAF service after either crashing or being cannibalised for spare parts. 3 Buccaneers were maintained in flying condition in South Africa until 2016, when operations ceased. &lt;br /&gt;

Generally, the J2M4 performs similarly to the early Fw 190 A variants, having a deadly armament, good roll rate, low top speed, but higher climb rate. Use what the Raiden does best to achieve success - energy fighting. Instead of turn fighting or bleeding all built up energy or speed in turns, attack enemies from a higher altitude and then regain that altitude once the attack has been delivered. The J2M4 excels at Boom &amp;amp; Zoom due to its high rate of climb and deadly armament, even more so than its earlier variants, the J2M2 and J2M3.&lt;br /&gt;

The Raiden's main downside is its lack of manoeuvrability. Similar to its German counterpart, the [[Fw 190 A-8]], the Raiden struggles to beat enemies in turn fights, especially Spitfires. Trying to fight an enemy Spitfire in a turn battle with the J2M is a terrible idea, unless the enemy aircraft is damaged or many teammates are nearby. Moreover, the J2M's high speed manoeuvrability is poor, making the entire aircraft lock up. It can be very difficult to pull out of a dive, roll, or turn when at high speeds with the J2M. The Raiden's manoeuvrability is more or less on par with its enemies in simulator battles, for the most part.&lt;br /&gt;

As the development behind the 14-Shi Interceptor ([[J2M2]] and [[J2M3]]) were disappointing in performance and didn't achieve it's projected goal, Mitsubishi set up a new goal with the availability of newer and stronger engines, this would be called under the 14-Shi Kai Interceptor.&lt;br /&gt;

Jiro Horikoshi and his team redesigned the nose of the plane to hold the new Kasei 23c engine and with this prototype they achieved the requested goal, this plane would be known as the J2M4, Raiden Model 32. It would still preserve the same electrical malfunctions to the landing gear which didn't get redesigned as the engine and its performance were a more pressing issue.&lt;br /&gt;

At first sight, most pilots that take the Sea Meteor out believe it has just what they always wanted from the Meteor F.3 - speed. Because of this, they often try to do what they did in the F.3 - turn fighting - and end up without wings. The key difference between the Meteor F.3 and the Sea Meteor is the weaker wings. While you could pull full G's in the Meteor F.3 and get away with it, the Sea Meteor will instantly rip if mishandled above 700 kph. Use your airbrakes and try to tame the speed of the Sea Meteor in a dive, because if you go too fast downwards, it won't be compression that kills you - your incapability of pulling up rests on the weakness of your wings. Your straight-line speed is truly an upgrade from the F.3, and now even the dreaded B-57s will have a hard time running away from you - in fact, the fully-upgraded Sea Meteor usually hits its redline speed in a straight line, and can easily rip its wings off in level flight if you are not careful.&lt;br /&gt;

The Sea Meteor F Mk 3 is navalised version of the [[Meteor F Mk 3]]. While the navalised components (tail hook, stronger gear, etc.) have added approximately 1,250 kg to the aircraft's weight, the Sea Meteor has also had its Derwent 2 engines replaced with vastly more powerful Derwent 5 engines. The end result is that the Sea Meteor has a ~25% increase in thrust to weight ratio over the Meteor F Mk 3. This improvement gives the Sea Meteor excellent acceleration and speed compared to its predecessor.&lt;br /&gt;

The Sea Meteor is essentially a much more powerful Meteor F Mk 3, and can be played as such. The good handling characteristics of the original Mk 3 are retained, but acceleration, speed, and energy retention are all vastly improved. The main drawback is that the increased weight and speed of the aircraft makes wing ripping much more of a problem, you should be careful during turns and remember that you can pull less Gs than the regular Mk 3. The speed of the Sea Meteor also needs to be kept in check, if left to its own devices it will quite happily accelerate until the wings fall off, even in level flight. If you need to slow yourself down when diving on enemy aircraft the airbrakes should be your first port of call, by keeping the engines spooled up you allow yourself to rapidly accelerate away from your target after an attack.&lt;br /&gt;

The Gloster Meteor was the RAF's first jet powered aircraft, and the only Allied jet to see combat in the Second World War. An all-metal, single-seat fighter with two turbojet engines, it first entered service in 1944. The aircraft's development started in August 1940 and was given Air Ministry approval in November of the same year. The Ministry of Aircraft Production drew up the official F.9/40 specifications for a heavy interceptor fighter to be designated as Type G.41; the first prototype fighter flew on March 5th 1943 at RAF Cranwell. The C.205 Serie 1 is perhaps the most underrated rank III Italian fighter, most likely due to the underpowered armament which consists of 2 x 12.7 mm and 2 x 7.7 mm Breda-SAFAT machine guns. This can be a serious problem since this fighter is Boom &amp;amp; Zoom fighter, meaning even a successful pass with multiple bullits on target will badly cripple the target instead destroying it. Therefore, stick with teammates in order to support them. The C.205 Serie 1 works well when escorting bombers.&lt;br /&gt;

This fighter can climb fast for its rank and battle rating, thanks to DB 605-A which was installed in Bf 109 G-2, even in stock. The {{PAGENAME}} could climb up to 5,000 m in to seek enemy planes, but higher than 6,000-7,000 m is recommended for safest altitude. Use this advantage when retaining energy, to outrun enemies or gain altitude if the first pass failed and make up the second pass. Although the engine provides considerable manoeuvrability, one should not do excess dogfighting toward the target, as it will burn up energy faster. Never attempt to make contact with manoeuvrable fighters, like Spitfires and Yaks, especially at low altitude. Call teammates, then gain some altitude until the enemy cannot pursue. Use this chance to make a counter-attack and destroy the enemy. One thing to note, this plane's propeller pitch can be tweaked to the maximum value without blowing the engine, unlike all Bf 109s with the same engine when using manual engine control.&lt;br /&gt;

When in stock, the armament leaves much to be desired: low velocity and ball ammunition limit the effectiveness of the weapon. Never attempt to head-on by any means; chances are the opponent's bullets will reach the C.205 before its own. The Avro Shackleton is a British long range patrol aircraft from the Royal Air Force (RAF). The plane was based on the Avro Lincoln. It made its first flight on 9 march 1949 and was in service until 1989. The Shackleton has for type Rolls-Royce Griffon 57.[1] and the armement of for  20mm-canons and in the tail two 50 cal machine guns.&lt;br /&gt;
