The '''{{specs|name}}''' is a rank {{specs|rank}} British sub-chaser {{Battle-rating|1}}. It was introduced in [[Update 1.83 "Masters of the Sea"]] as part of the British fleet closed beta test.

== General info ==
[[File:War Thunder Screenshot 2019.10.02 - 23.13.45.34.png|thumb|X-Ray profile of the T-285. Note the large engine at the centre and the ammunition stored in the lower bow of the ship.]]
=== Survivability and armour ===
<!--''Talk about the vehicle's armour. Note the most well-defended and most vulnerable zones, e.g. the ammo magazine. Evaluate the composition of components and assemblies responsible for movement and manoeuvrability. Evaluate the survivability of the primary and secondary armament separately. Don't forget to mention the size of the crew, which plays an important role in fleet mechanics. Tips for preserving survivability should be saved for the "Use in battle" section.''
''If necessary, use a graphic template to show the most well-protected or most vulnerable points in the armour.''-->

The T-285 is a large, heavy ship. As such it doesn't possess very good mobility or speed. Forward max speed can reach up to 24.7 kph (or 32 kph with the appropriate upgrades). Even with all the seakeeping upgrades installed the T-285 is a slow ship that has difficulty manoeuvring around the map. Coupled with its tall profile and relatively large size, captains of this ship can often find themselves to be an easy target. Torpedoes and aerial bombing, in particular, are rather dangerous as by the time you realise they're heading for you, you wouldn't have enough time or navigational ability to avoid them.

As such, the T-285 works well as a support craft to other ships by staying at a distance where it can use this to minimise the number of enemy ships and torpedoes that can engage it while supporting allies with the potent 4 Inch QF Mark V cannon with the three Oerlikon Mk. II cannons providing anti-air support. Other notable upgrades include shrapnel protection that provides the interior to shrapnel resistance.

== Armament ==
=== Primary armament ===
<!--''Provide information about the characteristics of the primary armament. Evaluate their efficacy in battle based on their reload speed, ballistics and the capacity of their shells. Add a link to the main article about the weapon: <code><nowiki>{{main|Weapon name (calibre)}}</nowiki></code>.''
''Broadly describe the ammunition available for the primary armament, and provide recommendations on how to use it and which ammunition to choose.''-->
{{main|4 in QF Mark V (102 mm)}}

The main armament is the [[4 in QF Mark V (102 mm)|4 Inch QF Mark V cannon]] with a maximum of 150 rounds stocked on board. With a choice of high-explosive, semi-armour piercing and fragmentation rounds. With a muzzle velocity of 805 m/s, hitting targets up to 4 km shouldn't be too difficult although the gun is prone to the occasional inaccurate shot. Generally speaking the high explosive rounds will be enough to tackle any target the T-285 will encounter and while you might encounter destroyers where the semi-armour piercing rounds would be better suited to the task, the opportunity to do so is unlikely given the number of shots it would probably require to sink them let alone survive long enough from counter-fire or aerial bombardment to do so. Fragmentation rounds can be rather potent as well but given the nature of their timed explosive they can be rather inconsistent but with enough practice and skill, it is possible to use this to your advantage, even in knocking out any low flying aircraft if you're good enough.

Auxiliary armaments consist of three [[Oerlikon Mk.II (20 mm)|20mm Oerlikon Mk. II cannons]] with two sitting behind the Mark V cannon and the third sitting on the aft. Ammunition belts are the Universal (HEF-T. HEF-I, AP-T), High Explosive (HEF-T. HEF-I, AP-T, HEF-I) and Armour Piercing (AP-T, AP-T, AP-T, HEF-I). These guns provide good anti-air support but can also be used to against any smaller, faster ships within 2 km or less regardless of ammunition used. Flanking the bridge is a pair of dual-mounted [[Lewis 1916 (7.72 mm)|7.72 Lewis Machine guns]] that are technically designated as the ships anti-air guns but given their small calibre and somewhat awkward angle they shouldn't be relied upon.

Finally, the T-285 can also deploy the Mk. VII depth charge behind it with a rather high capacity of 20 charges. But considering the ship's slow speed and poor mobility the chances of getting close enough to enemy ships to use them is very rare and therefore it's not recommended to carry them as they are an explosive liability when exposed to enemy gunfire.

== Usage in battles ==
<!--''Describe the technique of using this ship, the characteristics of her use in a team and tips on strategy. Abstain from writing an entire guide – don’t get try to provide a single point of view, but give the reader food for thought. Talk about the most dangerous opponents for this vehicle and provide recommendations on fighting them. If necessary, note the specifics of playing with this vehicle in various modes (AB, RB, SB).''-->
Despite being classified as a minelayer, the T-285 acts more like a heavy gun platform with it's varied and effective weaponry on a slow-moving ship. Because of its large size and poor mobility, it's not particularly suited to the frontlines and tight spaces. Instead, captains of the ship should provide covering fire for allies from a distance. This is to make yourself a smaller target against ships and give a higher chance to avoid torpedoes as well as the fact the Mark V cannon has good muzzle velocity for attacking distant targets while reducing counter-fire

The Oerlikon guns should concentrate on providing anti-air support as bombers often find the T-285 to be a rather attractive target due to it's size but you should also be aware of any enemy motor torpedo boats attempting to deploy their torpedoes on you which is where the Oerlikon guns can be used to counter them, particularly if they are within 1 km or less to you as the Mark V cannon may not have enough time to react to them. One final note about the two Oerlikon guns behind the Mark V cannon is that they limited negative vertical traverse when pointed towards the bow. As such when attempting to aim at any close proximity targets in front of you, you will need to turn the ship left or right from the target to give the guns enough depression to aim down at them.

=== Pros and cons ===
<!--''Summarize and briefly evaluate the vehicle in terms of its characteristics and combat effectiveness. Mark its pros and cons in the bulleted list. Try not to use more than 6 points for each of the characteristics. Avoid using categorical definitions such as "bad", "good" and the like - they have a substitution in the form of softer "inadequate", "effective".''-->
* Slow and difficult to navigate
* Large profile and size makes it an easy target
''If necessary, use a graphics template to show the most well-protected or most vulnerable points in the armour.''-->
This boat equips a 6.5 mm RHA on the bridge and in each turret. The armour can only prevent rifle calibre machine guns or fragment of shell from doing any damage.

=== Mobility ===
<!--''Write about the ship’s mobility. Evaluate its power and manoeuvrability, rudder rerouting speed, stopping speed at full tilt, with its maximum forward speed and reverse speed.''-->
In spite of small hull, its speed is not that good because this boat is equipped with only one small diesel engine.

On a large map, this boat typically will be sunk before taking on any enemy vessels within effective range of its armament.
Talk about the most dangerous opponents for this vehicle and provide recommendations on fighting them. If necessary, note the specifics of playing with this vehicle in various modes (AB, RB, SB).''-->
This ship is very difficult to use given that the twin 6.5 mm machine guns are vastly underpowered against even smaller ships like the LS3 or MTB1-1 and it's 37 mm cannon has trouble hitting anything due to the HE round's low velocity. This accuracy is further exacerbated by the fact that the rough seas which causes the gun the bob up and down constantly and despite it's small size it's quite slow and with a Battle Ranking of 1.7 it would encounter similarly ranked (but faster or better armed ships) very regularly. It's also very vulnerable to aerial bombardments as none of it's guns have high depression of firepower.

As such, captains of this ship would often find themselves outgunned by other ships and very vulnerable to bombing runs. To make the most out of it, it's recommended to act as an escort to larger, slower ships who can provide the firepower while you can hide in it's silhouette plinking away at any low flying aircraft or small ships attempting to sneak in torpedoes or depth charge attacks. While it's unlikely to get any kills the covering fire might be enough of a distraction for them.

Should you find yourself sailing solo, captains should take advantage of it's small size to hide behind terrain or any other obstacles and while difficult to use, the 37 mm HE rounds' low velocity does allow it to fire over low obstacles allowing it to act as light artillery of sorts. The armour itself is thin and not particularly useful against the type of calibers you'd be facing but it can be somewhat enhanced at a distance.

=== Pros and cons ===
The '''{{Specs|name}}''' is a rank {{Specs|rank}} Soviet motor torpedo boat {{Battle-rating|1}}. It was introduced during [[Update 1.79 "Project X"]] when the Soviet fleet was implemented into the game.

== General info ==
=== Survivability and armour ===
''Talk about the vehicle's armour.

''If necessary, use a graphic template to show the most well-protected or most vulnerable points in the armour.''

=== Mobility ===
''Write about the ship’s mobility. Evaluate its power and manoeuvrability, rudder rerouting speed, stopping speed at full tilt, with its maximum forward speed and reverse speed.''

== Armament ==
=== Primary armament ===
Primary armament composes of two, dual mounted [[DShK 12.7mm]] heavy machine gun turrets with one located at the stern and the other at the centre of the vessel just above and behind the bridge. Note that the turret at the stern is obstructed when pointed towards the bow due to the other turret therefore somewhat restricting fire coverage. The turret just behind the bridge has near 360° though it is slightly obstructed by the mast when pointing towards the bow.

The DShK 12.7 mm guns provide good firepower and rate of fire against similarly sized ships and somewhat larger ships thanks to its heavy calibre. They have an ammunition capacity of 1000 rounds with reloads taking ~4.7 seconds. Available belts to research include the high explosive incendiary (HEI) and armour piercing incendiary tracer (APIT) rounds.

=== Secondary armament ===
''Some ships are fitted with weapons of various calibres. Secondary armament is defined by the weapon chosen with the control <code>Select secondary weapon</code>. Evaluate the secondary armament and give advice on how to use them. Describe the ammunition available for the secondary armament. Provide recommendations on how to use them and which ammunition to choose. Remember that anti-air armament, even heavy calibre weapons, belong in the next section.''

''If there is no secondary armament, remove this section.''

=== Anti-aircraft armament ===
''An important part of the ship’s armament responsible for air raid defense. Anti-aircraft armament is defined by the weapon chosen with the control <code>Select anti-aircraft weapons</code>. Talk about the ship’s anti-air cannons and machine guns, the number of guns and their positions, their effective range, and about their overall effectiveness – including against surface targets.''

''If there is no anti-aircraft artillery, remove this section.''

=== Torpedo armament ===
The Pr. 123bis carries two 450mm wet-heating 45-36NU torpedoes. They have a range of 3 km at a speed of 78 km/h or a range of 6 km at 73 km/h with the Torpedo Mode module installed.

=== Special armament ===
''Depth charges, mines, rocket launchers and missiles are also effective in skilled hands and can be an unexpected surprise for an opponent. Evaluate the ammunition of this type of armament and rate its performance in combat.''

== Usage in battles ==
''Describe the technique of using this ship, the characteristics of her use in a team and tips on strategy. Abstain from writing an entire guide – don’t get try to provide a single point of view, but give the reader food for thought. Talk about the most dangerous opponents for this vehicle and provide recommendations on fighting them. If necessary, note the specifics of playing with this vehicle in various modes (AB, RB, SB).''

=== Pros and cons ===
''Summarize and briefly evaluate the vehicle in terms of its characteristics and combat effectiveness. Mark its pros and cons in the bulleted list. Try not to use more than 6 points for each of the characteristics. Avoid using categorical definitions such as "bad", "good" and the like - they have a substitution in the form of softer "inadequate", "effective".''
The '''{{Specs|name}}''' is a reserve Rank {{Specs|rank}} British motor torpedo boat {{Battle-rating}}. It was introduced in [[Update 1.83 "Masters of the Sea"]] as part of the British fleet closed beta test.

== General info ==
=== Survivability and armour ===
<!--Talk about the vehicle's armour. Save tips for preserving survivability in the "Use in battle" section.''

''If necessary, use a graphics template to show the most well-protected or most vulnerable points in the armour.-->[[File:War Thunder Screenshot 2019.04.07 - 16.58.29.16.png|thumb|Profile shot of the MTB-1. The engines are located in the aft with ammunition storage at the bow.]]
The MTB-1 has no armour at all, so the motor torpedo boat (MTB) can't take too may hits. MTB-1 has 11 crew members, which is quite numerous compared to the German and Soviet MTB's. In terms of survivability, it is best to keep moving due to the absence of armour on the boat.

=== Mobility ===
Maximum forward speed has a potential to reach 86 km/h in ~10 seconds with reverse speeds reaching 43 km/h.

== Armament ==
=== Primary armament ===
<!--Provide information about the characteristics of the primary armament. Evaluate their efficacy in battle based on their reload speed, ballistics and the capacity of their shells. Add a link to the main article about the weapon: <code><nowiki>{{main|Weapon name (calibre)}}</nowiki></code>.

Broadly describe the ammunition available for the primary armament, and provide recommendations on how to use it and which ammunition to choose.-->
{{main|Lewis (7.7 mm)}}

The MTB-1 has decent armament for a MTB. There are two turrets, one at the front and one at the stern, both turrets have four 7.72 mm Lewis machine guns. Due to the high firing rate, you can destroy any MBT and most larger ships like the Soviet [[OD-200]] and the German [[R-boot R-41|R-boat]]. It is quite easy to run out of ammo, and the Lewis machine guns are also slow to reload taking about 16.7 seconds leaving it vulnerable to attack. Available ammunition belts to research are the armour piercing (AP) and armour piercing incendiary (API).

=== Torpedo armament ===
<!--Torpedoes launchers are standard equipment on many ships and boats. Torpedoes are a significant means of defeating an opponent. Evaluate the position of the torpedo launchers, discuss the ammunition available, firing specifics such as dead zones, features of the torpedoes themselves, etc.

If there is no torpedo armament, remove this section.-->
The MBT-1 has two forward pointing 18-inch Mk.XII Torpedoes with a range of 3.2 km at a speed of 69 km/h. With the Torpedo Mode module installed the range is reduced to 1.37 km with speeds reaching 74 km/h. As both torpedoes are forward facing, side-by-side they are accurate and easy to aim.

=== Special armament ===
<!--Depth charges, mines, rocket launchers and missiles are also effective in skilled hands and can take an off-guard opponent by surprise. Evaluate the ammunition of this type of armament and rate its performance in combat.-->[[File:War Thunder Screenshot 2019.04.07 - 14.31.58.20.png|thumb|Overhead shot with depth charges numbered from 1 to 4 showing which order they are dropped in.]]
The MBT-1 can be equipped with four Mk.VII depth charges with an explosive mass of 130kg each.

== Usage in battles ==
<!--Describe the technique of using this ship, the characteristics of her use in a team and tips on strategy. Abstain from writing an entire guide – don’t try to provide a single point of view, but give the reader food for thought. Talk about the most dangerous opponents for this vehicle and provide recommendations on fighting them. If necessary, note the specifics of playing with this vehicle in various modes (AB, RB, SB).-->
As with any MTB, it is best to keep moving due to the boat having no armour. A few hits from an enemy MTB or ship will easily destroy you. When facing ships such as the Soviet OD-200, it's best not to get to close since they have a powerful cannon. Despite having eight Lewis machine guns, destroying enemy vessels can be difficult due to the lower calibre compared to other MTBs like the Browning .50 Cal or the DShK 12.7mm guns. This results in a shorter range and less damage output especially at longer ranges which is further exacerbated by long reload times.

As such, the MTB-1 is fares best in a support role, backing up bigger, allied ships. It can rely on them to distract the enemy whilst the MTB-1 can move in a little closer to deploy its torpedoes whilst compensating the Lewis machine gun's lower calibre and range (preferably within 1 kilometre) with its high rate of fire with both of the turrets placed in the stern and aft of the ship allowing to engage both turrets reliably. Because of its turret placement the MTB-1 can also be used as a close anti-air support as the lower calibre is still rather effective on planes, especially with its HEI rounds.

=== Pros and cons ===
<!--Summarize and briefly evaluate the vehicle in terms of its characteristics and combat effectiveness. Mark its pros and cons in the bulleted list. Try not to use more than 6 points for each of the characteristics. Avoid using categorical definitions such as "bad", "good" and the like - use substitutions with softer forms such as "inadequate" and "effective".-->

'''Pros:'''

* Two turrets of quad-mounted Lewis guns
* Armament has a high rate of fire
* Fast and with good mobility

'''Cons:'''

* No armour, can be easily destroyed
* Small calibre armament means lots of ammo may have to be expended to eliminate an enemy
* Long reload times

== History ==
''Describe the history of the creation and combat usage of the ship in more detail than in the introduction. The '''{{Specs|name}}''' is a reserve Rank {{Specs|rank}} British motor torpedo boat {{Battle-rating}}. It was introduced in [[Update 1.83 "Masters of the Sea"]] as part of the British fleet closed beta test.

== General info ==
=== Survivability and armour ===
<!--Talk about the vehicle's armour.

=== Mobility ===
Maximum forward speed has a potential to reach 86 km/h in ~10 seconds with reverse speeds reaching 43 km/h.

== Armament ==
=== Primary armament ===

{{main|Lewis (7.7 mm)}}

=== Torpedo armament ===

=== Special armament ===

== Usage in battles ==

=== Pros and cons ===

== History ==
''Describe the history of the creation and combat usage of the ship in more detail than in the introduction. If the historical reference turns out to be too big, take it to a separate article, taking a link to an article about the vehicle and adding a block "/ History" (example: <nowiki>https://wiki.warthunder.com/(Vehicle-name)/History</nowiki>) and add a link to it here using the <code>main</code> template. The '''{{Specs|name}}''' is a rank {{Specs|rank}} Soviet motor torpedo boat {{Battle-rating|1}}. It was introduced during [[Update 1.79 "Project X"]] when the Soviet fleet was implemented into the game.

== General info ==
=== Survivability and armour ===
[[File:War Thunder Screenshot 2019.04.07 - 16.48.56.65.png|thumb|Profile shot of the D-3. Vulnerable areas include the engines located at the centre of the vessel.]]
Armour is practically non-existent as the D3 is constructed entirely out of wood. All three engines are also located in the centre of the vessel making it quite easy to knock out. Crew consists of 9 men.

=== Mobility ===
''Write about the ship’s mobility. Evaluate its power and manoeuvrability, rudder rerouting speed, stopping speed at full tilt, with its maximum forward speed and reverse speed.''

== Armament ==
=== Primary armament ===
Primary armament consists of two 12.7mm DShK machine guns with one located at the bow of the ship and the other one at the centre of the ship allowing for engagement in all 360° directions. However it should be noted that due to structural designs only one gun can be pointed towards at either the bow or aft of the ship. Reloading the DShK takes about 4.7 seconds and can reliably engage targets up to 1.8 kilometres. With it's 12.7mm bullets the D3 can reliably knock out enemy vessels in the same class and maybe even larger vessels if given enough time. Available ammunition belts include the high explosive incendiary (HEI) and armour piercing incendiary tracer (APIT) rounds.

=== Torpedo armament ===
The D3 carries two, front facing, 533 53-38 torpedoes located at the stern of the ship. The torpedoes are rather accurate with a default travel distance of 4km and a good speed of 82 km.

=== Special armament ===
Once unlocked, the D3 can carry four BB-1 depth charges located at the stern of ship which is also where they are dropped when deployed.

==Usage in battles==
The D3 makes a good supporting craft when paired with bigger, tougher ships. With it's two heavy machine guns, torpedoes and depth charges it can reliably destroy enemy vessels so long as they enemy isn't engaged with it. However, lower vertical guidance of the DShK machine guns can make it vulnerable to enemy aircraft so consider relying on allied anti-air, hiding behind tall cover or even using smokescreen in desperate situations.

'''Pros:'''

'''Cons:'''

The G-5 basically has no armour in its overall design, to the point where the only armour that lights up in the armour-viewer is the armoured glass at the bridge, an astounding 5 mm of it. As such, any small arms armament can penetration and cripple the modules and the crew members. The G-5 carries six crew.

=== Mobility ===
With it's small size the G-5 is fast and manoeuvrable with the potential of reaching up to speeds of 133 km/h in ~15.61 seconds. Reverse speed can reach an impressive 62 km/h.

''Broadly describe the ammunition available for the primary armament, and provide recommendations on how to use it and which ammunition to choose.''-->
{{main|DShK (12.7 mm)}}

The only gun on the G-5 is a single 12.7 mm DShK machine gun. It can destroy any motor torpedo boats and some larger boats if your lucky. Being located in the centre of the vessel it does have 360 degrees of aiming but is somewhat restricted in elevation when pointed towards the bow due to structural designs meaning it can only be reliably fired at other vessels when aimed at the sides or rear of the ship. You can research two different ammo belts for the 12.7 mm, the high explosive incendiary (HEI) and armour piercing incendiary tracer (APIT) rounds.

=== Torpedo armament ===
<!--''Many ships are armed with torpedo launchers, and for some vessels such as boats, torpedoes are an extremely important means of defeating an opponent. Evaluate the position of the torpedo launchers, discuss the ammunition available, firing specifics such as dead zones, features of the torpedoes themselves, etc.''

''If there is no torpedo armament, remove this section.''-->
The G-5 carries two 533 mm 53-38 torpedoes. They have a range of 4km at a speed of 82 km/h. With the Torpedo Mode module installed they can reach 10km at a reduced speed of 75 km/h. As both torpedoes sit in the aft pointing towards the bow they are accurate and easy to aim with.

==Usage in battles==
As with any motor torpedo boat, it is best to keep moving since a few good shots from other boats can take you out. While the 12.7 mm mount is flexible for a 360 degree traverse, its elevation is restricted in front due to structure obstructions. As such, the 12.7 mm can only effectively fire from the sides and stern of the boat. Because of this, it's generally a good idea to avoid direct confrontations.

That said, the G-5 is one of the fastest vessels in the game, almost twice as fast as other vessels similar in it's class. As such it is best utilised to capture points early, providing cover to allies with smokescreen, and sneaking around enemies and ambushing them with hit-and-run tactics with it's slightly faster and accurate torpedoes.
The '''{{Specs|name}}''' is a reserve rank {{Specs|rank}} Soviet motor torpedo boat {{Battle-rating|1}}. It was introduced during [[Update 1.79 "Project X"]] when the Soviet fleet was implemented into the game. It has a single 12.7 mm DShK machine gun and carries two torpedoes

== General info ==
=== Survivability and armour ===

The G-5 basically has no armour in its overall design, to the point where the only armour that lights up in the armour-viewer is the armoured glass at the bridge, an astounding 5 mm of it. As such, any small arms armament can penetration and cripple the modules and the two crew members.

=== Mobility ===
With it's small size the G-5 is fast and manoeuvrable with the potential of reaching up to speeds of 133 km/h in ~15.61 seconds. Reverse speed can reach an impressive 62 km/h.

== Armament ==
=== Primary armament ===

{{main|DShK (12.7 mm)}}

=== Torpedo armament ===
{{Break}}
The '''{{specs|name}}''' is a rank {{specs|rank}} British motor torpedo boat {{Battle-rating|1}}. It was introduced in [[Update 1.83 "Masters of the Sea"]] as part of the British fleet closed beta test.

== General info ==
=== Survivability and armour ===
Being constructed out of wood, the Vosper 1 has no armour and therefore must rely on manoeuvrability to survive. Areas to note is the engines located in the stern and the ammunition storage at the bow which makes it vulnerable to explosions. The crew consists of 10 men.
[[File:War Thunder Screenshot 2019.04.07 - 14.51.52.06.png|thumb|Profile image of the Vosper 1 with x-ray enabled showing various internals. The engine bay lies in the stern with ammunition storage sitting under the bridge at the bow.]]

=== Mobility ===
As with any MTB the Vosper 1 is a fast craft being able to reach up to speeds at 64 km/h and then up to a further 104 km/h when fully upgraded. The time it takes to reach maximum speed of 104 km/h is 13.74 seconds and the time it takes to come to a complete halt is 15.49 seconds. Reverse speed goes up to 36 km/h once upgraded.

== Armament ==
=== Primary armament ===
[[File:War Thunder Screenshot 2019.04.07 - 14.12.14.23.png|thumb|Close shot of the Vosper 1 showing the turret placement. Note that the two turrets behind the bridge are offset to prevent obstructing from each another.]]
Like the MTB-1, the Vosper 1 carries the same primary armament of eight 7.72 Lewis guns. However the largest difference is that is divided among four separate turrets with two guns each. Two turrets sit at the bow and the other two at the centre of the vessel just behind the bridge. With more crew manning the guns reload time takes ~9.5 seconds. The guns ammunition capacity sits at 960 with 7760 in storage.

Being a light machine gun, the 7.7 calibre has relatively low range and power which is compensated by the amount of guns therefore it relies of volume of fire rather than stopping power. The general range that you should engage targets is within 1 km to maximise it's effectiveness and to avoid being out ranged by more powerful machine guns.

=== Torpedo armament ===
Torpedo armaments consists of two 533mm Mk.VIII torpedoes with a range of 4.57 km at speed of 84 km/h. Each torpedo sits at bulwarks and are angled slightly so captains would need to rely on manoeuvring to aim them at longer ranges.

== Usage in battles ==
Those who have piloted the MTB-1 should utilise the Vosper 1 in the same manner. Despite appearances the Vosper 1 is functionally similar with the only noteworthy differences in that the Vosper 1 has slightly faster torpedoes and shorter reload times for it's primary armaments. With no armour and high speed it is best suited to capturing points and ambushing larger ships with torpedoes or backing allied ships with smokescreen and anti-air cover as the low calibre of 7.72 Lewis guns is still effective on aircraft.

Captains should generally avoid engaging enemy crafts longer than 1.5 km as the 7.7 calibre of the Lewis guns can be out ranged by larger calibres like the American .50 Cal or Russian 12.7 mm. Therefore it is recommended to attack in ranges less than 1 km in order to take advantage of the volume of fire whilst still retaining penetrative power. The torpedoes are also quite fast with good range which is useful against larger, slow moving vessels at distance.

=== Pros and cons ===
'''Pros:'''

* Fast.
* Four turrets give good fire coverage.
* Torpedoes have long range with good speeds of 84 km/h.

*

'''Cons:'''

* No armour.
* Primary armaments of the 7.7 Lewis guns are rather ineffective at ranges longer than 1.5 km.

*
The '''{{Specs|name}}''' is a rank {{Specs|rank}} Soviet motor torpedo boat {{Battle-rating|1}}. It was introduced during [[Update 1.79 "Project X"]] when the Soviet fleet was implemented into the game.

== General info ==
=== Survivability and armour ===
Armour is practically non-existent as the D3 is constructed entirely out of wood. All three engines are also located in the centre of the vessel making it quite easy to knock out. Crew consists of 9 men.

=== Mobility ===
''Write about the ship’s mobility. Evaluate its power and manoeuvrability, rudder rerouting speed, stopping speed at full tilt, with its maximum forward speed and reverse speed.''

== Armament ==
=== Primary armament ===

=== Torpedo armament ===
The D3 carries two, front facing, 533 53-38 torpedoes located at the stern of the ship. The torpedoes are rather accurate with a default travel distance of 4km and a good speed of 82 km.

=== Special armament ===
Once unlocked, the D3 can carry four BB-1 depth charges located at the stern of ship which is also where they are dropped when deployed.

==Usage in battles==

'''Pros:'''

* Turret placement allow the D3 to engage in targets all around itself.
* Fast speed and small width can make it a difficult target at range.

*

'''Cons:'''

* No armour at all.
* Vulnerable to aircraft due to no dedicated anti-air and poor vertical guidance on it's guns.
The '''{{Specs|name}}''' is a reserve Rank {{Specs|rank}} British motor torpedo boat {{Battle-rating|1}}. It was introduced in [[Update 1.83 "Masters of the Sea"]] as part of the British fleet closed beta test.

== General info ==
=== Survivability and armour ===

=== Mobility ===
''Write about the ship’s mobility. Evaluate its power and maneuverability, rudder rerouting speed, stopping speed at full tilt, with its maximum forward speed and reverse speed.''

== Armament ==
=== Primary armament ===
{{main|Lewis (7.7 mm)}}
It is quite easy to run out of ammo, and the Lewis machine guns are also slow to reload.

=== Torpedo armament ===
The MBT-1 has two 18 inch Mk.XII Torpedoes

=== Special armament ===
The MBT-1 can be equipped with four Mk.VII depth charges

== Usage in the battles ==
As with any MTB, it is best to keep moving due to no armour. A few hits from an enemy MTB or ship will easily destroy you. When facing ships such as the Soviet OD-200, it's best not to get to close since they have a powerful cannon. Despite having eight Lewis machine guns, destroying enemy vessels can be difficult due to the lower calibre compared to other MTBs like the Browning .50 Cal or the Dhsk 12.7mm guns. This results in a shorter range and less damage output especially at longer ranges which is further exacerbated by long reload times.

As such, the MTB-1 is fares best in a support role, backing up bigger, allied ships. It can rely on them to distract the enemy whilst the MTB-1 can move in a little closer to deploy it's torpedoes whilst compensating the Lewis machine gun's lower calibre and range (preferably within 1 kilometre) with it's high rate of fire with both of the turrets placed in the stern and aft of the ship allowing to engage both turrets reliably. Because of it's turret placement the MTB-1 can also be used as a close anti-air support as the lower calibre is still rather effective on planes, especially with it's HEI rounds.

=== Pros and cons ===
<!--''Summarize and briefly evaluate the vehicle in terms of its characteristics and combat effectiveness. Mark its pros and cons in the bulleted list.
'''Pros:'''

* Two turrets of quad-mounted Lewis guns
* Armament has a high rate of fire
* Fast and with good mobility

'''Cons:'''

* No armour, can be easily destroyed
* Small calibre armament means lots of ammo may have to be expended to eliminate an enemy

== History ==
''Talk about the history of the creation and military application of the ship in greater detail than in the introduction. It was introduced during [[Update 1.79 "Project X"]] when the Soviet fleet was implemented into the game. It has a single 12.7 mm DShK machine gun and carries two torpedoes

== General info ==
=== Survivability and armour ===

The G-5 basically has no armour in its overall design, to the point where the only armour that lights up in the armour-viewer is the armoured glass at the bridge, an astounding 5 mm of it. As such, any small arms armament can penetration and cripple the modules and the two crew members.

=== Mobility ===
''Write about the ship’s mobility. Evaluate its power and maneuverability, rudder rerouting speed, stopping speed at full tilt, with its maximum forward speed and reverse speed.''

=== Primary armament ===

{{main|DShK (12.7 mm)}}

You can research three different ammo belts for the 12.7 mm.

=== Torpedo armament ===

==Usage in battles==
Because of this it's generally a good idea to avoid direct confrontations.

'''Cons:'''

* Basically no armour.
* Armament cannot fire towards the front except at high elevations
* Machine gun armament has small belt of 50 rounds before reloading
* Front is filled with engines, center filled with other important parts and crew, enemies can easily prioritize targeting for elimination
