The name is a rank rank German jet fighter Battle-rating. It was introduced in Update 1.39.

The Me 262 C-1a Heimatschützer I is a Me 262 A-1a fitted with a rocket booster in its tail. It is intended as an interceptor, climbing very quickly under the power of the booster rocket combined with its two jet engines. However, the boosters have a small fuel supply and shut down minutes after takeoff. Without its booster rocket, the Heimatschützer functions very similarly to the Me 262 A-1a. It has the same armament as the Me 262 A-1.
Offensive armament
<!-- Describe the offensive armament of the aircraft, if any. Describe how effective the cannons and machine guns are in a battle, and also what belts or drums are better to use. If there is no offensive weaponry, delete this subsection. -->
The PAGENAME is armed with:

* 4 x 30 mm MK 108 cannons, nose-mounted (2 x 100 rpg top + 2 x 80 rpg bottom = 360 total)

The Heimatschutzer I's cannon armament consists of four nose-mounted 30 mm Mk 108 autocannons. It has the same armament as the Me 262 A-1a. The Me 262 A-1a and the Me 262 C-1a Heimatschützer have the same burst mass of 14.52 kg/s (32.01 lbs/s).

Usage in battles
Describe the tactics of playing in the aircraft, the features of using aircraft in a team and advice on tactics. Refrain from creating a "guide" - do not impose a single point of view, but instead, give the reader food for thought.
The biggest issue of the Heimatschützer I is it's poor acceleration across all speeds when the boosters are out of fuel. Thus, the "Compressor" and "New Engine" modifications should have the highest priority. The default ammo belts are decent, but the high explosive content increases with the new ammo. Because of this, researching the 30 mm Belts modification is not a bad idea. The "New Cannons" modification can also be researched to improve the accuracy and reliability of the 30 mm cannons.

Pros and cons
<!-- Summarise and briefly evaluate the vehicle in terms of its characteristics and combat effectiveness. Mark its pros and cons in the bulleted list. Try not to use more than 6 points for each of the characteristics. Avoid using categorical definitions such as "bad", "good" and the like - use substitutions with softer forms such as "inadequate" and "effective". -->

Pros:

* Heavy armament of four 30 mm cannons
* Decent energy retention
* It has a rocket engine, allowing a climb to about 4000 m (13000 ft) within 1.5 minutes

Cons:

* Slow in comparison to other jets it may encounter
* Rocket propulsion is limited
* Its 30 mm guns are not optimal for jet combat, with low muzzle velocity and effective range
* Without its booster, it is a fairly slow climber
* Sluggish at high speeds due to control surface compression

The name is a rank rank French jet fighter Battle-rating. It was introduced in Update "Raining Fire". It is a twin-engine ground assault aircraft, designed with the transport and operation of heavy ordnance in mind. It also comes equipped with air-to-air missiles, in the form of the dreaded Matra R550 Magic 1. Overall a bomb truck, it is very unwieldy while fully loaded, but is exceptionally nimble once its bomb/rocket load is expended.

General info
Flight performance
<!-- Describe how the aircraft behaves in the air. Speed, manoeuvrability, acceleration and allowable loads - these are the most important characteristics of the vehicle. -->
The SEPECAT Jaguar is a relatively small aircraft, with a relatively small wing surface area, yet it boasts two jet engines, each yielding nearly two tons of wet thrust. These characteristics give the Jaguar exceptional agility and responsiveness, being able to engage turnfights if necessary. On the other hand, this small frame makes the Jaguar turn into a brick when loaded with bombs, even becoming so heavy it becomes very hard to take-off. The wings are of a swept design, and the Jaguar loses energy while turning only moderately, not being a BnZ fighter, but not being as bad as a Mirage IIIC or a J35D Draken. Overall it is a quite average fighter, while not loaded.
The Jaguar A has no armour plating or armoured glass. The entire wings of the Jaguar A are made up of fuel tanks, along with most of the upper fuselage, with flight controls being exposed in the "spine" of the aircraft. The two engines take up a small amount of room in the very rear of the fuselage.

The PAGENAME can be outfitted with the following ordnance:

* Without load
* 11 x 250 kg SAMP Type 25 bombs (2,750 kg total)
* 8 x 400 kg SAMP Type 21 bombs (3,200 kg total)
* 144 x SNEB type 23 rockets
* 16 x TBA ECC rockets
* 16 x TBA Multi-Dart 100 AB rockets
* 2 x Matra R550 Magic 1 missiles
* 9 x 250 kg SAMP Type 25 bombs + 2 x Matra R550 Magic 1 missiles (2,250 kg total)
* 6 x 400 kg SAMP Type 21 bombs + 2 x Matra R550 Magic 1 missiles (2,400 kg total)
* 2 x Matra R550 Magic 1 missiles + 8 x TBA ECC rockets
* 2 x Matra R550 Magic 1 missiles + 8 x TBA Multi-Dart 100 AB rockets

The sets of bombs are the heaviest ordnances for the aircraft, but ensure a good supply of CAS support capability, even though bomb runs in combined battles are extremely dangerous at such BRs.

The most exotic loadout proposed by the Jaguar A is the TBA Multi-Dart 100 AB rocket. This rocket is a hypersonic, sub-munition-carrying vessel, with each rocket carrying six darts, and reaching 1400 m/s, or Mach 4.2. Each dart is in fact a small kinetic penetrator, each being able to penetrate 80 mm of flat armour, and relying only on fragmentation of armour as post-penetration damage. While these darts cannot pierce the front (or even side) hull of a modern MBT, it will pierce its roof without problems, and the rocket speed and number of darts gives the possibility of top attacks from a safe distance, with extreme precision.

Usage in battles
<!-- Describe the tactics of playing in the aircraft, the features of using aircraft in a team and advice on tactics. Refrain from creating a "guide" - do not impose a single point of view, but instead, give the reader food for thought. Examine the most dangerous enemies and give recommendations on fighting them. If necessary, note the specifics of the game in different modes (AB, RB, SB). -->
In Realistic battles, the Jaguar A is a catastrophic aircraft to grind, because its only air-to-air missiles are locked as a rank 4 modification. The entirety of its opposition will be carrying both IR and semi-active radar missiles. Once these missiles are researched, the Jaguar becomes a force to be reckoned with, and it can be expected that a few kills can be made on unsuspecting enemies. The bomb/rocket load of the Jaguar A is decent, and bombing bases and key targets is definitely a good way to acquire experience. Carrying a hybrid air-to-air and air-to-ground load is a good compromise, retaining adequate ground pounding capabilities while acquiring self-defence capabilities.

In a RB match, it is a good tactic to let pure fighters go in front, and remain at low altitude. That way the Jaguar will not be in the front lines, and will be able to expend its bomb load and attempt to help fighters with its missiles. The Jaguar cannot face aircraft such as a MiG-21, or a Mirage IIIC, or even a Phantom II and be expected to win. The aircraft fares better as a support aircraft.

In Combined battles, many CAS options are available. Be it the SAMP bombs, SNEB rockets, or Multi-Dart rockets, with the latter being its cutting edge weapon against ground forces. Remaining at a safe distance and avoiding incoming missiles while selecting a target, then pointing it swiftly for a top attack with one or more Multi-Dart rockets seems to be an adequate usage of these weapons. It can be decided to abandon the air-to-air missiles to carry more ordnance, that is a choice of attack paradigm each player must make.
* Carries an exotic weapon for CAS, which players are not used to face
* Can be played as a bomb truck

Cons:

* Researching the modifications are a hassle
* Basically a barely flying anvil when fully loaded with bombs
* Does not carry flares
The name is a rank rank German jet fighter Battle-rating. It was introduced in Update 1.41.

The 30 mm MK 108 autocannon has insane damage potential, with the third greatest in-game burst rate of 14.52 kg/s (32.01 lbs/s) and the great explosive warhead "minengeschoss" (=mine-shell) this weapon will vaporize aircraft, especially bombers. But every coin has a flip side and the "Sledgehammer" is no exception. The amazing rate of fire is bought with a very short barrel and small propellant charges, resulting in very bad ballistics: The slowest shells with the greatest bullet drop in-game. The Mk 108 makes no compromise, only the extremes.

The MK 108 is a very bad anti-fighter weapon particular in a jet to jet combat. Bullet drop and slow velocity result in difficult lead shots in ranges above 300 m (350 yds). In manoeuvre fights this trait gets even worse, the high speeds of jet battle push the necessary lead for hitting the target high, very high and in front of the enemy. Training with this weapon-system on a custom battle against random enemies is heavily advised.

The Sledgehammer cannons have an ammo indicator in the cockpit. It sits directly beneath the compass (the one with the little plane in the middle). A typical bar ammunition counter of the Luftwaffe. The left white column is for the two top auto-cannons. The right one is for the bottom two cannons, this bar is also taller than the left one as the ammo count is different for the two pairs.
MK 108 (30 mm)

The Me 262 C-2b is armed with:

* 4 x 30 mm MK 108 cannon, nose-mounted (2 x 100 rpg top + 2 x 80 rpg bottom = 360 total)

<!--=== Suspended armament ===
Describe the aircraft's suspended armament: additional cannons under the wings, bombs, rockets and torpedoes. This section is especially important for bombers and attackers. If there is no suspended weaponry remove this subsection.

Defensive armament
Defensive armament with turret machine guns or cannons, crewed by gunners. Examine the number of gunners and what belts or drums are better to use. If defensive weaponry is not available remove this subsection.
-->
Usage in the battles
<!--Describe the tactics of playing in an aircraft, the features of using vehicles in a team and advice on tactics. Refrain from creating a "guide" - do not impose a single point of view but give the reader food for thought. Examine the most dangerous enemies and give recommendations on fighting them. If necessary, note the specifics of the game in different modes (AB, RB, SB).-->
Anti-fighter combat strategies include:

Climb: All around usable
Self-explanatory, rockets are used to boost oneself up to > 7000 m. Henceforth denying enemy fighters absolute altitude advantage. Of course, this must be followed through to the extreme, as once altitude advantage is gone, so will be the Me 262. Especially high-altitude prop-aircraft will be dangerous foes as jet-engine's power steadily declines over altitude. Whereas turbochargers and superchargers will keep the piston engine's power output steady. Watch out for these particular foes: P-47D, P-47M, F8F-1B, Spitfire Mk 24/Mk 22, J7W1 and Ta 152H-1, if this strategy is chosen. Commence in classic Boom and Zoom tactics.

Aggressive climb: Useful against pure enemy jet teams
The same principle as merely "Climb", however with the twist of actively engaging towards the hostile airfield to intercept with E-advantage enemy fighters. Air-Domination is established beyond the frontline with the prime directive to hinder enemy aircraft (especially jets) to gain any further altitude. If piston aircraft are present, this may prove to be difficult as these machines will be on or even above the Me 262 C upon contact. Hostile jets though will again not be on a similar energy state, making them on the first two initial passes easy prey. Good energy management is key though!

Rush: Enemy team energy denial
This strategy can prove deadly but will provide similar aggressive team-mates with a better outset once team vs team combat starts.
Start boosters after spawning and use them to reach maximum level flight speed. Reduce engine throttle before losing a wing! Head straight for the enemy and disturb them in their acceleration & climb. The idea is to either seize targets of opportunity (e.g. AFK climbers, unaware targets) or to confuse the foes to give one's allies the aforementioned better vantage position.

Specific enemies worth noting
<!--Some concerning vehicles to worry about if playing this plane. (i.e. Japanese fighters will out turn you)-->
Remember to assign a key to Boosters!

Rocket boost should either be saved to compete against post-war jets or be used immediately to propel oneself up to 6,000 m before the hostile forces had the opportunity to gain any energy advantage.

Manual Engine Control
| Cover
|
|-

The biggest issue of the Schwalbe is its bad acceleration across all speeds. Thus "Compressor" and "New Engine" upgrades have the highest priority. The stock belts are decent, but the high explosive content increases with the new ammo, so including belts into the upgrade route is not a bad idea. The same applies to the rockets. Being able to knockout bases or tanks(direct hit) with these warheads, makes the late game much more easy to win if the last enemies are running or hiding. "New cannons" is an interesting upgrade choice as it increases accuracy above 300 m (350 yds), but the MK 108 will still be unable to hit a yarn-door at 500 m (600 yds). Cool-down and jamming is nothing the "Sledgehammer" has to deal with, considering the damage potential and low ammo count per gun.

Pros and cons
<!--Summarize and briefly evaluate the vehicle in terms of its characteristics and combat effectiveness. Mark its pros and cons in the bulleted list. Do not use more than 6 points for each of the characteristics. Avoid using categorical definitions such as "bad", "good" and the like - they have a substitution in the form of softer "inadequate", "effective".-->

Pros:

* Great plane for arcade battles, as it climbs quickly with the rocket boosters and can land to refuel them.
* Boom and zoom is a must with this plane, as it keeps up with all other jets.
* Can use boosters to outrun and out-climb other aircraft

Cons:

* Handling feels Heavy
* Slow compared to other BR 8.0 aircraft
* Horrible climb rate if boosters aren't in use
* Performs significantly worse than the A-1a variant
* MK 108s are not well suited for jet combat.
* No Airbrakes to slow down

Pros:

* Good turn rate between 550 kph and 800 kph
* Decent climb rate
* Strong and effective flaps
* Nose-mounted 20mm guns
* Good ammo (besides "Default" one)
* Quite nice against lower Br. planes at battles
* With better than stock ammunition belt only some hits is needed to kill or critically damage the oponent
* With all modifications can deal with migs 15 and Sabres but this intereceptors are still superior
* Easy to fly and land with a ripped wingtip or even whole wing

*

Cons:

* "Default" ammunition belt is really bad
* Stock performance is lacking

* Slow compared to other contemporary aircraft
* Poor horizontal energy retention compared to its predecessors
* Fragile; a few hits of enemy fire will make controlling the aircraft more difficult
* 500 bullets so some practise in needed
* Nearly no armour, pilot knockouts (deaths) are really common
* 20mm guns can spark but often it is not big problem and sometimes even advantage

*
