By 1969, both Germany and France had a need for a new generation of jet trainer aircraft to replace their existing inventory of T-33 and Fouga Magister aircraft. It was decided that a collaboration between Dornier and Dassault-Breguet, with the latter first being two separate companies who later merged, had the best potential for a joint TA (Trainer Attack) aircraft over other competing manufacturers and won out the contest with the TA501.&lt;br /&gt;

This aircraft was to satisfy the Luftwaffe’s need to also replace their G.91 aircraft in the attack role, while the Armée de l'Air’s needs were mostly on the training gap that the Anglo-French Jaguar was initially intended to cover, but ended up being a more advanced supersonic conversion / strike aircraft. As such, two distinct versions of what would be the Alpha Jet were formed. The A - Appui / Attack and the E - Ecole / Trainer versions. These would be produced in sub assemblies in Germany, France and also Belgium.&lt;br /&gt;

The first prototype would take to the skies in October 1973 and after many more years of testing and trials, the Alpha Jet would enter French and German service in 1979, going on to be a success story of collaboration between nations. Being a light anti-submarine frigate, the Pr. 35 Mirka-class has very little substantial armour, with just 5 mm turret armour and the 15 mm splash guard for the forward turret. Process I'm using is to copy data from the current in-game information card for the ammo, and render that using Excel 365 and Scattergram (&amp;quot;X Y Scatter&amp;quot;, Style #6. Chart is then pasted into Paint3D and saved as a PNG. Agree that maintenance will be difficult without access to an online source for that data as opposed to in-game (I don't have datamine access). The trouble with independent DeMarre as a method is it's calculated relative to a reference shell for which everything is known... ie it's always comparative. So without knowing their reference shell there's not much you can do. You would also need a reasonably accurate velocity estimate at each range bracket for each shell (so at minimum, agreed-upon ballistic coefficient numbers for each shell, as well). And you'd need to know their formula, as mentioned. Their use of a value for explosive shell filling variable and a ballistic cap modifier in the online calc means its not a &amp;quot;vanilla&amp;quot; DeMarre, for sure. The formula the online calculator they are using also starts to hit a limit of applicability &amp;lt;30mm shell diameter or so... probably because they are using a larger calibre (&amp;gt;100mm if I had to guess) as their DeMarre reference shell, and once you get down to 12-25mm that's going to start giving higher-than-historical results. Lastly it'd be great if Gaijin starts to populate the Wiki guns pages, so this could just be interim. I found out that wikitext has the concept of no break space, which works as a usual space but doesn't separate the words that it is placed between if a new line is needed to be displayed. For example 250&amp;amp;nbsp;mm in source code does this: 250 //mm OR 250// mm changed to //250 mm OR 250 mm// (not respectively), where double-slash is a new line.&lt;br /&gt;

Hi I just created a page for the tracking system used on the SIDAM 25 (the [[3JB10]]), seeing as it is not actually a radar it raises a couple of questions. For now I have just added it to the ground radar category, but is it better to make a new category called something like &amp;quot;sensors&amp;quot;, with radars as a sub category of it? It seems likely we will get more systems which are not technically radars (i.e. the ADAD on the Stormer HVM coming next patch), so it might be worth doing for future-proofing. At the same time however I can see the argument for just leaving them all counted as radars for simplicity's sake. There are also two different Radar Warning Receivers (one for American and one for Russian helis) modelled in game, however at present they are modelled very basically and not worthy of separate articles. Maybe if the way Radar Warning Receivers work gets overhauled in the future (seems likely they will have to as the radar mechanic becomes more advanced and more aircraft with RWRs get added) they will be worthy of articles, in which case again a sensors category might make sense. Just wondering what your (and anyone else's) thoughts on the matter are?&lt;br /&gt;

: Hello there. Firstly, I think the hp charts you're trying to make are a neat addition. But as you may have heard from the other user that contested your charts initially, there's a lot of factors and such that affects aircraft horsepower than altitude. I'm trying to find out on my end what's the perfect setting to test these stats, but for right now can you say on what map did you test the current F-82 charts?&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;I would also recommend some changes on the chart:&lt;br /&gt;
# Adding the game's version number so that users are aware when the chart was last updated should the engine performance ever change in the future.&lt;br /&gt;
# Adding dots on the hp line where each 1000 meter mark is. It's rather hard to eyeball it at a quick glance.&lt;br /&gt;
## To reduce the text clutter at the bottom, you can title the axis &amp;quot;Altitude in 1000 meters&amp;quot; and then just label each vertical axis mark &amp;quot;1, 2, etc.&amp;quot;&lt;br /&gt;

I know horsepower will change depending on your speed so I tried to get to the highest speed I could reach on 100% Throttle then went on WEP for a few seconds, got a screenshot then climbed and repeated it.&lt;br /&gt;

Engaging a fast flying plane that is not flying towards you or away from you will usually cause the missile to miss. Since maneuvering planes will loose energy, you can drain the energy/speed of the plane to a level where you can hit it with your 3rd or 4th missile. If you wait with the launch of the 4th missile until the plane is at 1.5km the plane cannot engange you after evading the last missile. However, if you fire your last missile in the magazine too early, they will use their guns to wipe you of f the map. Unless you can replenish your missiles on a cap point, it may be more efficient to not fire at planes circling your position. &lt;br /&gt;

It is recommended to change the radar range from 10 to 16 KM, find a concealed spot near spawn and memorize where the helicopters' airfield is. Helicopters are easy prey for the FlaRakRad; but be careful to take them out quickly or you'll find you have a 9M127 Vikhr headed right at you. Be careful to not radar lock helicopters, as they usually have RWR and will detect you if you lock them. Try instead to hand guide the missiles. This isn't as hard as it seems, as helicopters mostly hover and without the RWR won't know where the missile is coming from. Once the VT1 missile is unlocked, this allows the FlaRakRad to be able to finally engage aircraft with any hint of reliability. Still, one must exercise discipline when choosing when to engage aircraft, as the VT1 can still be dodged. As for the VT1 against helicopters, it just allows the FlaRakRad to kill enemy helicopters quicker, giving them less time to react. All in all, the FlaRakRad is a competent SPAA once one unlocks the missile and has the flexibility to engage aircraft as well as helis. Keep in mind that after firing the second missile, the FlaRakRad will not begin reloading until the second missile hits a target or reaches its max range and self-destructs. This means if you miss the second missile, you are vulnerable to air attack while waiting to reload. Take care not to be hit, and you'll have a good time.&lt;br /&gt;

As the FlaRakRad is the largest ground vehicle in game, and an SPAA, it is not hard for one to guess how the protection situation is. As there is no armour to speak of, the best bet for protecting this vehicle is not to be seen. Try hiding behind large hills, buildings near spawn, and other large obstacles. The non retractable search radar makes it hard to find spots tall enough to hide the FlaRakRad's immense size. However, due to the size of this vehicle, it can take ATGMs from helis occasionally, and can sometimes even eat APFSDS. It is recommended to find a concealed spot near spawn and memorize where the helicopters' airfield is. Helicopters are easy prey for the FlaRakRad; but be careful to take them out quickly or you'll find you have a 9M127 Vikhr headed right at you. Be careful to not radar lock helicopters, as they usually have RWR and will detect you if you lock them. Try instead to hand guide the missiles. This isn't as hard as it seems, as helicopters mostly hover and without the RWR won't know where the missile is coming from. Once the VT1 missile is unlocked, this allows the FlaRakRad to be able to finally engage aircraft with any hint of reliability. Still, one must exercise discipline when choosing when to engage aircraft, as the VT1 can still be dodged. As for the VT1 against helicopters, it just allows the FlaRakRad to kill enemy helicopters quicker, giving them less time to react. All in all, the FlaRakRad is a competent SPAA once one unlocks the missile and has the flexibility to engage aircraft as well as helis. Keep in mind that after firing the second missile, the FlaRakRad will not begin reloading until the second missile hits a target or reaches its max range and self-destructs. The VT 1-2 excels at when it comes to acceleration, high speed and low profile. This provides the opportunity to move into sniping positions early in the game or even capture midpoints. The tank is easily destroyed and should be played as if it was a glass cannon, i.e. you stay behind cover/concealment and scan the area using binoculars and/or the third-person view and then only moving into firing position when the coast is clear.&lt;br /&gt;

The VT 1-2 excels at it's acceleration, high speed and low profile and you are able to move into sniping positions early in the game or even capture mid points. The tank is easily killed and should be played as a glass cannon, i.e. you stay behind cover/concealment and scan the area using binoculars and/or third person, then move into firing position.&lt;br /&gt;

Since the left barrel reloads at constant 5s and the right barrel in around 7s, you can fire 3 shots in 5 seconds (left, right, left) in the first engagement which lets you easily correct any error in distance estimation and/or finish off immobilized tanks.
