The IS-2 has sufficient armour, but will not protect from the guns of its rank. The frontal plate has 120 mm of armour plating, which will not stop anything the IS-2 faces, making slight angle adjustments paramount survivability essential. However, due to a tendency for the driver's viewport to literally absorb the round, most players will not aim here. The LFP has a value of 100 mm angled at 27 degrees, and will not bounce any shots. Since behind the LFP is the driver and the 2 main fuel tanks, a penetrating round will have catastrophic results for the {{PAGENAME}}. The side armour is 90 mm, and observing the front of the tank, it has a noticeable curvature to it. When viewed from the front, the 90 mm of armour will deflect or absorb a high number of shots contrary to the 120 mm plate. Angling with large adjustments will cause the {{PAGENAME}} to render this part useless and make the tank extremely vulnerable. The frontal turret armour is 100 mm with a distinctive &amp;quot;cheek&amp;quot; construction. As with any &amp;quot;cheek&amp;quot; construction, the lower part may act as a shot trap and the middle may absorb shots, but it is more than likely to fail against high-penetration guns.&lt;br /&gt;

A well-known trick for IS-2 series is driving with the rear facing forward. Doing so will remarkably remove the weak spots on IS-2's frontal hull armour listed above. Its turret was placed in front, and engine with large transmission in rear, while having relatively long hull and good reverse speed. These features increase the actual effectiveness of rear armour because most full-calibre kinetic ammunition and HEATs hitting IS-2's rear hull will be absorbed or detonated before reaching cockpit. Hence a successful penetration of the rear hull will only limit your movement or ignite fuel tanks. The IS-2's mobility is overall average for a heavy tank. Powered by a 520 hp engine, it has adequate top speed on flat/hard surfaces allowing it to keep up with most medium tanks thus getting to battle positions on time. With enough acceleration, the IS-2 is able to reach ~40 km/h which is considerably faster than common heavily-armoured German vehicles such as Tiger II and Ferdinand, giving you a tactical advantage. Another pro is the great reverse speed at around -16 km/h, you should utilise this to quickly retreat back to cover when needed, which significantly increases your survivability and flexibility. However, the disadvantages of the IS-2's mobility is the low agility due to its weight of 46 tons. The tank starts off really sluggishly especially on loose surface or slopes, and takes quite a while to accelerate to its top speed, resulting in it struggling to manoeuvre quickly within a confined environment. Many players find it hard to get used to similar Soviet cannons mainly due to their absurdly long reload. This can be caused by inaccurate aiming, resulting in the shell missing or not penetrating, so the player have to wait for half a minute to reload, which is of course frustrating. Players can overcome this by practising shooting and getting used to the ballistics, to make most if not every shell count. Once one is able to consistently knock out opponents with a single shot, the reload will not seem as long, since it generally takes quite a few minutes before the next target shows up.&lt;br /&gt;

Ammunition-wise, the best ammo is of course the BR-471B. The added ballistic cap can really make a difference when shooting angled armour. For example shooting at the UFP of an angling M4A3E2 with BR-471 might not penetrate, however with a BR-471B it will decrease the compound angle at which the shell impacts the armour for quite a bit, therefore easily pierce through. This can be the difference between getting a kill or getting killed. If you want to save silver lions, you can bring a mix of the two shells. The BR-471 works great as well.&lt;br /&gt;

As the tank's design purpose suggests, the IS-2 is a heavy tank built with an emphasis on engaging hostile armoured vehicles as well as a breakthrough tank. The tank's heavy armour retains the similar properties of the [[IS-1]] and KV line of battle-tanks but introduces some sloped armour on the front plate and turret mantlet. It is armed with a powerful but slow reloading 122 mm D-25T cannon, mimicking that of the two Soviet assault guns, the [[ISU-152 (China)|ISU-152]] and [[ISU-122 (China)|ISU-122]] at around the mid-20 seconds. Nevertheless, its gun will commonly destroy almost all but the most heavily armoured vehicles with a single shot. At the IS-2's battle rating, the armour no longer stands up to much punishment with the advent of opponents with more powerful weaponry, and caution should be taken. Close-quarters combat and brawling against more than one target at a time is highly discouraged due to the long reload speed unless the tank operator is trapped and situation requires this as an absolute necessity. Alternatively, if escorted and accompanied by other friendly tanks, the IS-2 can be supplemented and perform better in dire close-quarters situations.&lt;br /&gt;

If you are to apply bushes onto the IS-2, consider putting most of them on upper frontal hull and the curved sides next to it. This is because that quite some opponents will automatically target the curved armour, knowing that area is a common weak spot when the IS is angling. By covering up the hull front and the curves, the IS's frontal hull will now look flatter, somewhat resembling the hull of an IS-2 1944. This will cause some confusion and delay the enemy's reaction &amp;amp; aiming time, as they now cannot directly see where your curved armour is, gifting you a few precious seconds before they open fire. Thus, it's easy to gain a kill at the start of the match, if you are comfortable with the 122 mm gun.&lt;br /&gt;

Close quarters combat proves even more deadly in Arcade Battles because all opposing vehicles will be able to easily overrun a single IS-2, especially after it has shot and is now waiting through its long reload (&amp;gt;20s). Hence it's advised to use your improved reverse speed to quickly disengage after shooting and retreat towards your teammates, who will likely be able to return fire. If the map forces you to fight in close quarters, attempt to get into a position where your teammates can cover your sides, while you can face forwards and clear the road. If the map allows, you can try taking 5 rounds of ammunition and camp at a capture point (usually one that's given to your team) to snipe all enemies that enter your line of sight while reducing your chances of blowing up at the first incoming shot.&lt;br /&gt;

In rare cases, it's possible to rush with the IS-2 and surprise lighter vehicles at a contested capture point in the early stages of a game. You can then decide to return fire, although sometimes opponents don't show themselves until later in the match, in which case you should stay passive and try to remain behind your team's front lines.&lt;br /&gt;

Due to generally increased map size in Realistic, you will have to get comfortable with the bullet drop. The IS-2 performs decently well at longer ranges, but it will cost you a lot if you miss or don't penetrate, because the reload is so long. Often, you will need to rely on the rangefinder, the teammates or map knowledge to gauge how high you need to shoot, so it might be a great idea to take out another vehicle first (such as the [[T-34-85 Gai]]) remember the distance and then take the IS-2 out. However, on larger maps, it is generally a better idea to take out other vehicles.&lt;br /&gt;

Although classified as a heavy tank and an upgraded improved design over the KV predecessor, the IS-2's armour will no longer hold up to its more common and heavier opponents of its battle rating. Compared with other vehicles such as the new German Tiger II, American heavy T-series tanks; most of which can easily deflect even the most powerful shots of the IS-2 unless targeted specifically and known weak spots. Because of this, it is recommended to always travel and fight in groups of two or more vehicles. The slow and difficult in the manoeuvring of the vehicle (especially in confined spaces) will more than once place the IS-2 in significant danger. It is recommended to field the IS-2 into a fire-support role, peeking over the shoulder of friendly, more heavier vehicles and firing a shot against the opposition in tandem.&lt;br /&gt;

First find some solid cover and hide the entirety of the tank's front behind it, then point the rear hull outside a bit so you can reverse and peek the back half of the hull side out at an extremely tiny angle from the direction of incoming shots. Now what the enemy should see is a part of your hull side forming a very small angle of incidence. Due to the fact that not a lot tankers know this tactic, they will take the bait and fire at your side armour. The shell will either hit the side armour and ricochet away, or damage the track but not break it. This way, you can safely lure the enemy to fire first, then poke out and finish them with your powerful cannon. However, do note that in an uptier, there will be vehicles equipped with HEAT/HEATFS shells (e.g. [[ST-A1]], [[M56]], [[T114]], [[Type 60 SPRG (C)|Type 60]]) that can easily penetrate you regardless of how hard you angle. So if you know they are present, do not use this tactic. Your engine/fuel tank will get damaged. Rather, wait until they fire at a teammate or are distracted.&lt;br /&gt;

At this Battle Rating, more powerful British tanks such as the Centurions will be encountered. As previously specified above, the IS-2 no longer retains its armour advantage in this battle rating unlike its IS-1 predecessor and thus, it is important to identify and fire on targets first before they do. In this rank, tanks such as the Panthers, Tiger II and similar vehicles will be present with sloped armour, strong enough to even withstand the might of the 122 mm shells of the D-25T gun. A common design flaw, however, is the turret of said vehicles, commonly being mostly blunt and flat and easy to penetrate. A patient and well placed aim and shot against these surfaces will destroy the target with no more than a single shot. Be aware that most opposition vehicles at this rank have the lower calibre and puncturing power than the D-25T of the IS-2, but come with an improved reload speed, a reload speed commonly faster than the IS-2. Japanese line of tanks at the same rank as the IS-2 is of little concern; their poor armour and armaments at the same rank will render them relatively easy to destroy.&lt;br /&gt;

An important note when engaging tanks, especially Tiger I's, is that, with the implementation of volumetric shells, you can no longer expect your shells to pierce through small openings or right past an obstacle. The large 122 mm calibre of your shells will result in it catching on an armour plate's edge very often, losing all of its penetration. For example, a Tiger I has quite some edges that can absorb your shell unexpectedly, despite having flat armour. Thus you must always make sure that where you are aiming at is absolutely free of obstruction, or it will result in a magical non-penetration or a ricochet. Following the end of World War II, like many formerly occupied European countries, Belgium started rebuilding its Air Force and turned towards the British government who agreed to supply aircraft.  The original plans called for the establishment of two day-fighter wings, &amp;quot;A-Wing&amp;quot; and &amp;quot;B-Wing&amp;quot;, each of which would consist of two squadrons, each numbering 16 aircraft.&lt;br /&gt;

As part of the reconstruction of the Belgian Air Force, two fully Belgian-manned squadrons of the Royal Air Force, nos. 349 and 350 Squadron, were transferred from British to Belgian command on October 15th 1946.  Under RAF command, 349 Squadron had been standardised on the Spitfire LF Mk.XVIe variant, while 350 Squadron flew a mix of both the Mk.XIV and LF Mk.XVIe.  However, while the RAF was prepared to hand over both squadrons to Belgium, one condition was the return of the Mk.XVI Spitfires.  To replace these, the Belgian Government placed an order for 100 Griffon-engined Spitfire Mk.XIVs, all of which would receive a Belgian serial with an SG-prefix (Spitfire-Griffon; serving alongside Merlin-engined Spitfires with an SM-prefix standing for Spitfire-Merlin).&lt;br /&gt;

Deliveries of the original order for Spitfire Mk.XIVs started in April of 1947 and ran until July of 1949, with aircraft from Royal Air Force stocks being overhauled in the UK before being delivered to Belgium.  The aircraft delivered were a mixed bag: some were Mk.XIVs with the classic Malcolm Hood while others had the low-cut fuselage and bubble canopy; and a handful were FR.XIVs with provisions for reconnaissance cameras in their rear fuselage.  As deliveries progressed, the aircraft were initially delivered to 349 and 350 Squadron which had been organised into the 1st Wing at Beauvechain Air Base, where they replaced the Spitfire LF.XVIe, with additional aircraft being used to establish the 2nd Wing at Florennes Air Base from early 1948 onwards.  Two aircraft (RM769, June 19th 1947; and MV360, March 9th 1949) were written off in accidents during test or delivery flights, while a third (MV256/SG-39) was refused on delivery by the Belgian Air Force due to corrosion damage in the cockpit; as a result two additional Spitfires were delivered as replacements.  In addition, three non-airworthy Spitfires (NH694, RM712 and RM862) were delivered as instructional airframes to train ground crew.&lt;br /&gt;

The delivery of a considerably higher number of Spitfires than originally envisaged (the original plans called for 4 squadrons for a total of 64 Spitfires) allowed for the establishment of two extra Belgian Spitfire units: the 1st Wing at Beauvechain saw the establishment of an &amp;quot;Auxiliary Squadron&amp;quot;; while the 2nd Wing at Florennes saw the establishment of its 3rd Squadron in addition to the already existing 1st and 2nd squadron.  On top of that, a number of Mk.XIVs were attached to the Day Fighter School at the Koksijde Air Base, an operational conversion unit which had already been established on the Spitfire Mk.IX.&lt;br /&gt;

In April of 1949, the 1st Wing at Beauvechain started receiving the Gloster Meteor F.4, with 349 and 350 Squadron converting to the new jet while its Auxiliary Squadron initially retained its Spitfires before being disbanded.  At the same time, under the Western Union Defence Pact to which Belgium had subscribed together with the UK, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and France, the Belgian Air Force committed itself to an expansion which would see the establishment of at least 12 day-fighter squadrons.  This planned expansion, together with a relatively high accident rate in squadron service, saw Belgium ordering an additional 30 Spitfire Mk.XIVs, all of which were delivered between August 1950 and March 1951.  These new deliveries, together with Nos 349 and 350 Squadron exchanging their Spitfires for Meteors, allowed for the establishment of the 10th Wing, consisting of nos. 23, 27 and 31 squadron at Chièvres Air Base, a temporary stationing pending the construction of their permanent base at Kleine Brogel.&lt;br /&gt;

The increased obsolescence of the Supermarine Spitfire, as well as deliveries of the Republic F-84E/G Thunderjet under the Mutual Defence Assistance Program from April 1951 onwards heralded the end of the Spitfire Mk.XIV in frontline service.  Starting in April 1951, the 2nd Wing at Florennes started converting from their Spitfires to the F-84E Thunderjet; the 10th Wing at Chièvres followed in 1952, with its no. 31 'Tiger' Squadron being the last to cede their Spitfires in November of 1952.  Following the withdrawal of the Spitfire from Belgian frontline service, the 47 surviving aircraft were pooled in the Day Fighter School at Koksijde.&lt;br /&gt;

This was merely a stay of execution for the Spitfire, as even in its conversion role it was increasingly being replaced by jet aircraft.  The Day Fighter School received its first Meteor T.7 trainers towards the end of 1952, followed by its first Meteor F.4s in early 1953 as they were starting being replaced in squadron service by the newer Meteor F.8.  On May 31st 1954, the 125th Promotion of the Belgian Air Force graduated, being the last class to have received conversion on the Spitfire Mk.14; two months later the last flights of a Spitfire Mk.XIV in Belgian Air Force service were flown at Koksijde, at which point the surviving aircraft were sold in batches to scrap dealers, with airframe SG-49 (ex-RAF TX995) being the last to be struck off charge in December of 1954.&lt;br /&gt;

Being a difficult type to transition onto due to its powerful engine torque, narrow landing gear and limited forward sight, take-off and landing accidents were frequent, accounting for a majority of airframe write-offs of Spitfire Mk.XIVs in Belgian Air Force service.  Between the first accident on May 21st 1947 and the last accident on August 5th 1954 in Belgian service, no less than 86 Spitfire Mk.XIVs were written off.  The brunt of the survivors were struck off charge between March and December of 1954 and sold for scrap, with only three aircraft being retained by the Belgian Air Force purposes for museum purposes: SG-55 (MV246) at the Royal Army Museum in Brussels (in fact, a composite of the wreckage of three individual aircraft); SG-31 (RN201), originally retained at a gate guardian at Beauvechain (following a restoration in the UK in the 1980s, nowadays airworthy as G-BSKP); and SG-57 (RM921), originally retained as a gate guardian at Florennes (nowadays on display at the Florennes base museum).  Two of the Spitfires disposed in the mass scrappings at the Day Fighter School also survived: out of a batch of Spitfires sold to an Ostend scrap dealer in 1957, SG-25 (RM927) and SG-108 (NH904) were retained as eyecatchers, before being sold on in 1967 and 1965 respectively; SG-108 was restored to airworthiness in 1981 as G-FIRE before eventually ending up with Palm Springs Air Museum as N1148P; while SG-25 was only restored to airworthiness as recently as 2022, being registered as F-AYXX to W Air  Collection at La Ferté-Alais in France.  A sixth ex-Belgian Mk.14, SG-38 (RM764, lost in a 1952 fatal accident), is rumoured to be under rebuild as OO-XIV at FAST Aero in Brasschaat near Antwerp, Belgium.&lt;br /&gt;

With tensions rising in the Arab world, Israel was looking for a new, advanced fighter. After multiple failed deals with the F-86 and F-84, France took the initiative to sell their jets. At first, Israel was set on receiving the new Mystere IV and Mystere II but testing revealed numerous issues with the Mysteres. They were to be grounded until the problems were remedied. As a stop-gap measure, France sent 12 M.D.450 Ouragans to Israel. Although Israel soon received the Mystere IV, they still continued to successfully use the Ouragan as a support fighter and ground striker. Ouragans served well into the 1970s until they were replaced by more superior aircraft; some being sold to El Salvador. &lt;br /&gt;

It also has a structural speed limit of 1,030 km/h (640 mph) which is sufficient for jet battles but players should be wary of initiating aggressive dives. The Ouragan can also turn quite well thanks to its wing design and has good manoeuvring energy retention.  As for ground ordnance, the Ouragan can carry rockets and a variety of bombs. During the mid-1950s, Israel was keen to procure new fighter jets as tensions were rising between Israel's Arab neighbors. Israel looked at multiple jets such as the F-86 and F-84 but those deals fell through due to Arab involvement. France was the only country willing to sell jets to Israel, so Israel made a deal with France to acquire multiple Mystere IIs and 15 Mystere IVAs in July of 1954. However, this deal fell through due to performance issues with the Mystere II and problems with the Mystere IVA delayed transfers to the IAF. Israel acquired 12 M.D. 450 Ouragans as a stop-gap until the Mystere IVA was ready.&lt;br /&gt;

The Mystere IVA was sent to Israel in April of 1956 and replaced the Ouragan as a first-line fighter. This didn't stop the use of Ouragans during the Suez Crisis where the Ouragan acquired its first air kill against a Vampire and was used as a ground striker. The Ouragan proved to be a formidable ground striker due to its capable loadout of bombs and rockets. In one instance, the Egyptian destroyer, Ibrahim el Awal, sailed undetected to Israel's only seaport and began shelling the city of Haifa. 2 M.D. 450s were dispatched and they successfully disabled the ship, forcing its surrender. After the war, Israel obtained more Ouragans and continued using them as a ground attacker up until 1970 when the Ouragans were transferred for pilot training. In 1973, the Ouragans were phased out of service with 18 Ouragans being sold to the El Salvadorian Air Force. &lt;br /&gt;

With tensions rising in the Arab world, Israel was looking for a new, advanced fighter. After multiple failed deals with the F-86 and F-84, France took the initiative to sell their jets. At first, Israel was set on receiving the new Mystere IV and Mystere II but testing revealed numerous issues with the Mysteres. They were to be grounded until the problems were remedied. As a stop-gap measure, France sent 12 M.D.450 Ouragans to Israel. Although Israel soon received the Mystere IV, they still continued to successfully use the Ouragan as a support fighter and ground striker. Ouragans served well into the 1970s until they were replaced by more superior aircraft; some being sold to El Salvador. &lt;br /&gt;

During the mid-1950s, Israel was keen to procure new fighter jets as tensions were rising between Israel's Arab neighbors. Israel looked at multiple jets such as the F-86 and F-84 but those deals fell through due to Arab involvement. France was the only country willing to sell jets to Israel, so Israel made a deal with France to acquire multiple Mystere IIs and 15 Mystere IVAs in July of 1954. However, this deal fell through due to performance issues with the Mystere II and problems with the Mystere IVA delayed transfers to the IAF. Israel acquired 12 M.D. 450 Ouragans as a stop-gap until the Mystere IVA was ready.&lt;br /&gt;

The Mystere IVA was sent to Israel in April of 1956 and replaced the Ouragan as a first-line fighter. This didn't stop the use of Ouragans during the Suez Crisis where the Ouragan acquired its first air kill against a Vampire and was used as a ground striker. The Ouragan proved to be a formidable ground striker due to its capable loadout of bombs and rockets. In one instance, the Egyptian destroyer, Ibrahim el Awal, sailed undetected to Israel's only seaport and began shelling the city of Haifa. 2 M.D. 450s were dispatched and they successfully disabled the ship, forcing its surrender. After the war, Israel obtained more Ouragans and continued using them as a ground attacker up until 1970 when the Ouragans were transferred for pilot training. In 1973, the Ouragans were phased out of service with 18 Ouragans being sold to the El Salvadorian Air Force. &lt;br /&gt;

Always maintain speed. The P-47 handles like a dream at about 550-650 km/h (350-400 mph), but once it gets below 350 km/h (220 mph) it handles sluggishly, like a pig dipped in mud. One great thing about the handling at high speed though, is that the P-47 responds quickly at high speeds, and this allows some impressive defensive scissoring without losing wings at terminal velocity. The high-wing loading is an issue though, as the Jug will lose most of its energy in a blackout turn. This does endow the Jug with one key feature. it is a rock-solid gun platform.&lt;br /&gt;

Unfortunately, zoom-climbing and dive acceleration are not the &amp;quot;Jug's&amp;quot; forte. The Bf 109 has a superior dive acceleration, and the Fw 190 can zoom-climb far faster. Still, the energy retention of the P-47 is great, along with the fact that it flies far faster than both the Würger and Messerschmitt. The P-47 is not a turnfighter. Although it is possible to out-turn a heavy fighter like the Bf 110 C or Do 217, it is not recommended - the acceleration is mediocre, and once a P-47 is a sitting duck, it will be swarmed like flies to fruit in a compost pile. In Sim, the P-47 has great control handling, all-round unobstructed vision and fast speed, and it offers a wide range of additional armaments of bombs and rockets, plus the original 8 x .50 cal, meaning it is an excellent multi-role aircraft. It can perform base-bombing, ground pounding, bomber intercepting and traditional BnZ fighting.&lt;br /&gt;

When the gunsight slices past the furthest edge of the base, release all the bombs, bank to the direction of the nearest friendly airfield, descend back to tree-top level and fly back. If you are lucky, you might even catch some enemy bombers that just took-off from a nearby airfield. They will be some nice RP for you. Overall, base bombing is the safest way to get rewards.&lt;br /&gt;

For ground pounding, you can choose to take the full bombload if you want. Use the bombs and rockets to take out pillboxes and tanks. The aiming method for bombs is pretty similar to base bombing, but there are differences for the 500 lb and 1000 lb, as their drop are different and you want to adapt the aim to be more precise, because now the targets are much smaller. Dive at a shallow angle to approach the target, try to get as close as possible but avoid crashing into the ground. When the gunsight slices through and just above the target, drop the 1000 lbs. When the target is at the center of the gunsight and fills up around 1/3 of it, release the 500 lb. The 8 MGs are perfect for killing trucks, AA guns and artilleries as they have plenty of ammo. However, constantly watch your surrounding, especially your high 6 for any incoming enemies.&lt;br /&gt;

Chasing behind a bomber makes yourself pretty much stationary for the tail gunners, and you will be showered with bullets. The big radial engine of the P-47 will usually get damaged. The best position for an attack is at the bomber's high 6 so you can adjust the lead much easier. Dive at the bomber, but not directly at it, try to predict where you two will crash by imagining yourself as a missile, that's where you should aim at (deflection shooting). To maximize the damage it is better to aim for their wings and engines, as the fuselage usually soaks up quite some bullets. Only fire when the bomber passes in front of your guns. This short window might seems inadequate to do anything, but the 8 x MGs on the P-47 are actually quite destructive, as sometimes it only takes one bullet to set the target aflame.&lt;br /&gt;

Known originally as Polikarpov TIS, it was a heavy fighter developed during the 1940s competing with the Grushin Gr-1, Mikoyan-Gurevich DIS and the Tairov Ta-3. The TIS MA was the name given to the second prototype, this one featured a heavily modified armament. Two ShVAK cannon replaced the nose ShKAS machine guns and a UBT machine gun in a VUB-1 mount replaced the dorsal ShKAS, while the ventral machine gun was removed entirely. Two 37 mm (1.5 in) Shpitalny Sh-37 or 45 mm (1.8 in) 111P cannon replaced the wing root guns. The originally planed engines were not available and the AM-38F had to be used instead. The aircraft was tested in 1944 with successful test results. However, two accidents, one brake failure and a crash destroyed all hopes on the TIS program, and later, Polikarpov design bureau was closed.&lt;br /&gt;

The TIS MA's speed is not very impressive for its rank, but it is still faster than the [[Pe-3bis]] and is quite speedy at low altitudes, where its twin AM-38F engines (the same type used on the IL-2s) have impressive power output. The engines are essentially immune to overheating when undamaged and WEP can be sustained indefinitely, which aids in recovering speed after diving and hard manoeuvres. The TIS MA has a good roll and turn rate for a twin engine fighter. This is helpful when attacking ground targets since the former makes it easier to line up strafing or bombing runs and the latter allows the pilot to recover and not strike the ground. Getting into extended dogfights with single engined fighters is not advisable, but with good energy management, use of combat flaps, and some teammate support, it is still possible to get a firing solution.&lt;br /&gt;

The NS-37 cannons, famous for their use on the [[Yak-9T]] and several Soviet attacker aircraft, are very deadly weapons indeed. They have a high muzzle velocity of about 900 m/s and a good rate of fire for a large calibre weapon. They are accurate in short bursts but will easily overheat, lose accuracy, and jam if fired continuously. For ground striking the Armoured Targets belt is the best, as it consists entirely of AP-T rounds capable of penetrating 60 mm of armour at point-blank range. While in practice this maximum value is not achievable due to distance and angle issues, it is still capable of perforating light vehicles and going through the roofs and engine decks of medium or heavy tanks, sometimes even the sides as well. In Air RB it will take out Light Pillboxes in short order. The AP rounds are also highly effective against aircraft, capable of igniting fuel tanks and shearing off tails/wings (sometimes all at the same time), making it the best general purpose belt. On occasion, the AP-T rounds will pass through aircraft with little damage. For those who prefer more explosive effects, the Air Targets belt consists of only HEFI-T rounds and is somewhat more consistent versus aircraft, but since it is useless against armoured ground targets it is more situational. Be sure to set a generous fuse delay to avoid being caught in the blast radius. The RBS-132 rockets are also viable if one is comfortable with aiming them, as they theoretically offer up to 4 kills. A successful penetration will almost certainly annihilate the target because each rocket packs 1.35 kg of TNT.
