{{Break}} -->
The '''{{Specs|name}}''' is a rank {{Specs|rank}} Japanese heavy cruiser {{Battle-rating}}. It was introduced in [[Update 1.91 "Night Vision"]].

== General info ==
=== Survivability and armour ===
<!-- ''Talk about the vehicle's armour. Note the most well-defended and most vulnerable zones, e.g. the ammo magazine. Evaluate the composition of components and assemblies responsible for movement and manoeuvrability. Evaluate the survivability of the primary and secondary armaments separately. Don't forget to mention the size of the crew, which plays an important role in fleet mechanics. Save tips on preserving survivability for the "Usage in battles" section. If necessary, use a graphical template to show the most well-protected or most vulnerable points in the armour.'' -->
The IJN Mogami is one of the most well protected cruisers in the game, with 140 mm of RHA covering the entire front and rear ammunition stowages, 100 mm of RHA protecting the engine compartment, 105 mm of RHA bulkheads, though this will NOT stop other heavy cruisers from ammoracking you if you do not angle. The ship has 910 crew which is just mediocre for a heavy cruiser. The major downside of this ship is its extremely thin (25.4 mm) turret armour so users will have a hard time dealing with HE spam from US destroyers and light cruisers.

=== Mobility ===
<!-- ''Write about the ship's mobility. Evaluate its power and manoeuvrability, rudder rerouting speed, stopping speed at full tilt, with its maximum forward and reverse speed.'' -->
The ship can reach a max speed of 64 km/h (RB), with the complete rudder's turning time of 4.05 seconds (aced crew) which is one of the best for heavy cruisers.

== Armament ==
=== Primary armament ===
<!-- ''Provide information about the characteristics of the primary armament. Evaluate their efficacy in battle based on their reload speed, ballistics and the capacity of their shells. Add a link to the main article about the weapon: <code><nowiki>{{main|Weapon name (calibre)}}</nowiki></code>. Broadly describe the ammunition available for the primary armament, and provide recommendations on how to use it and which ammunition to choose.'' -->
{{main|20 cm/50 3rd year type No.2 (200 mm)}}

The IJN Mogami is equipped with 5 turrets of dual 20 cm/50 3rd year type No.2 cannons, reload time: 13.94s (stock crew) and 12s (aced crew).

'''Ammunition:'''

* 20.3 cm Type 0 HE (HE): maximum penetration: 61 mm; 8.57 kg of TNT equivalent explosive filler.
* 20.3 cm Type 91 AP (APBC): maximum penetration: 365 mm; 3.25 kg of TNT equivalent explosive filler
* 20.3 cm Type 0 HE (HE-DF with time fuse): maximum penetration: 61 mm; 8.57 kg of TNT equivalent explosive filler.

=== Secondary armament ===
<!-- ''Some ships are fitted with weapons of various calibres. Secondary armaments are defined as weapons chosen with the control <code>Select secondary weapon</code>. Evaluate the secondary armaments and give advice on how to use them. Describe the ammunition available for the secondary armament. Provide recommendations on how to use them and which ammunition to choose. Remember that any anti-air armament, even heavy calibre weapons, belong in the next section. If there is no secondary armament, remove this section.'' -->
{{main|5 inch/40 Type 89 (127 mm)}}

The ship is fitted with four turrets of dual 5 inch/40 (127 mm) Type 89 cannons capable of long range AA work and anti patrol boat duties.

'''Ammunition:'''

* 127 mm HE: maximum penetration: 25 mm; 1.96 kg of TNT equivalent explosive filler.
* 127 mm Type 1 HE (HE-DF with time fuze): maximum penetration: 28 mm; 2.31 kg of TNT equivalent explosive filler.

=== Anti-aircraft armament ===
<!-- ''An important part of the ship's armament responsible for air defence. Anti-aircraft armament is defined by the weapon chosen with the control <code>Select anti-aircraft weapons</code>. Talk about the ship's anti-air cannons and machine guns, the number of guns and their positions, their effective range, and about their overall effectiveness – including against surface targets. If there are no anti-aircraft armaments, remove this section.'' -->
{{main|25 mm/60 Type 96 (25 mm)|Type 93 (13.2 mm)}}

The ship is also fitted with four dual-mount 25 mm Type 96 cannons and two dual-mount 13.2 mm Type 93 machine guns.

=== Torpedo armament ===
<!-- ''Torpedoes launchers are standard equipment on many ships and boats. Torpedoes are a significant means of defeating an opponent. Evaluate the position of the torpedo launchers, discuss the ammunition available, firing specifics such as dead zones, features of the torpedoes themselves, etc. If there is no torpedo armament, remove this section.'' -->
{{main|Type 93 Model 1, Mod 2 (610 mm)}}

Four triple-mount 610 mm Type 93 "Long Lance" torpedo launchers, with two on each side. Altogether, the IJN Mogami carries 24 torpedoes total.

== Usage in battles ==
''Describe the technique of using this ship, the characteristics of her use in a team and tips on strategy. Abstain from writing an entire guide – don't try to provide a single point of view, but give the reader food for thought. Talk about the most dangerous opponents for this vehicle and provide recommendations on fighting them. If necessary, note the specifics of playing with this vehicle in various modes (AB, RB, SB).''

=== Pros and cons ===
<!-- ''Summarise and briefly evaluate the vehicle in terms of its characteristics and combat effectiveness. Mark its pros and cons in the bulleted list. Try not to use more than 6 points for each of the characteristics. Avoid using categorical definitions such as "bad", "good" and the like - use substitutions with softer forms such as "inadequate" and "effective".'' -->

'''Pros:'''

* One of the most devastating broadside salvos in the game
* Good armour when angled
* Decent mobility
* 24 devastating Long lance torpedoes at its disposal
* The ability to seemingly eat infinite amounts of ship torpedoes to the bow and or stern

'''Cons:'''

* Extremely weak turret armour
* Very slow turrets traverse time (4.0 degrees per second)
* Easy to ammorack when unangled

== History ==
<!-- ''Describe the history of the creation and combat usage of the ship in more detail than in the introduction. If the historical reference turns out to be too long, take it to a separate article, taking a link to the article about the ship and adding a block "/History" (example: <nowiki>https://wiki.warthunder.com/(Ship-name)/History</nowiki>) and add a link to it here using the <code>main</code> template. Be sure to reference text and sources by using <code><nowiki><ref></ref></nowiki></code>, as well as adding them at the end of the article with <code><nowiki><references /></nowiki></code>. This section may also include the ship's dev blog entry (if applicable) and the in-game encyclopedia description (under <code><nowiki>=== In-game description ===</nowiki></code>, also if applicable).'' -->
Development of the Mogami-class cruiser dates back to the early 1930s, when the IJN launched its development as part of a naval rearmament program. Wishing to substantially strengthen their navy’s cruisers, the IJN high command ordered for a new design to be drawn up which would practically reach the very limits of the London Naval Treaty in effect at the time.

The new warship was initially set at a displacement of 8,500 tons and was to be armed with fifteen 155mm guns, spread across five triple turrets. However, even at the design stage it was already clear that the real displacement would significantly exceed this limit and would be around 11,000 tons so it was decided to conceal the true data. In December of 1934, Japan denounced the Washington Agreements, and refused to sign the Second London Treaty in January of 1936. As a result, in the period between 1939 and 1940 all cruisers of the Mogami type underwent reconstruction, in which the main weapons were replaced by ten 203-mm guns in five turrets, the ships were then formally reclassified as heavy cruisers.

Nonetheless, Mogami-class cruisers raised concerns with other naval powers, some simply dismissed their design specifications as being false, while others, such as the U.S., began building counterparts of their own. Four Mogami-class heavy cruisers took part in several major operations during WW2, including the Battle of Midway, Leyte Gulf and many others. All ships of the class were lost in combat between June 1942 - November 1944.
{{main|Type 3 (127 mm)}}

The Kiyoshimo has six 127 mm dual purpose guns that have a high velocity and flat trajectory that enables you to easily hit targets at 10 km. With an Ace crew, you can reduce the reload rate to ~6 Seconds, which enables you to win long ranged gunfights. If the Kiyoshimo is caught at close range, it is suggested to take out the enemies turrets and go for crew as these guns lack any type of AP shells.

=== Secondary armament ===
If there is no secondary armament, remove this section.-->
{{main|Type 96 (25 mm)}}

The Kiyoshimo is armed with twenty-eight 25mm anti-aircraft guns as its only other AA other than its main guns. These are effective at close range as they can throw alot of shells into the air, but it is recommended to stay near allied ships for air cover as the range of these guns is short.
=== Torpedo armament ===
<!--Torpedoes launchers are standard equipment on many ships and boats. Torpedoes are a significant means of defeating an opponent. Evaluate the position of the torpedo launchers, discuss the ammunition available, firing specifics such as dead zones, features of the torpedoes themselves, etc.

If there is no torpedo armament, remove this section.-->
{{main|Type 93}}

The Kiyoshimo's torpedoes are the special Type 93 Mod 3 torpedoes, Only found on the Akizuki. It has reduced range of 15 km compared to the standard 20km Type 93 mod 1s found on other Japanese ships. While not gaining any speed advantage, however, it does gain an even larger warhead. ~1000kg of TNT instead of ~600. These torpedoes have a tendency to oneshot anything they hit. These are especially useful in naval EC.

=== Special armament ===
{{main|Type 95 depth charge}}
''Depth charges, mines, rocket launchers and missiles are also effective in skilled hands and can take an off-guard opponent by surprise. Evaluate the ammunition of this type of armament and rate its performance in combat.''

==Usage in battles==
''Describe the technique of using this ship, the characteristics of her use in a team and tips on strategy. Abstain from writing an entire guide – don’t try to provide a single point of view, but give the reader food for thought. Talk about the most dangerous opponents for this vehicle and provide recommendations on fighting them. If necessary, note the specifics of playing with this vehicle in various modes (AB, RB, SB).''

'''Pros:'''

* Good top speed
* Good maneuverability
* 2 quad torpedo launchers with one reload each
* Very deadly torpedoes
* 127 mm guns have good ballistics
* 28 x 25mm AA with alot of ammunition

'''Cons:'''

* Slow turret traverse
* Turrets tend to be taken out often
* 25mm AA only effective at close range (max range about 3 km)
* 127 mm guns have no AP (Only HE and HE-DF)
* 127 mm guns are almost useless against air targets (due to slow traverse)
<!-- ''In the first part of the description, cover the history of the ship's creation and military application. In the second part, tell the reader about using this ship in the game. Add a screenshot: if a beginner player has a hard time remembering vehicles by name, a picture will help them identify the ship in question.'' -->
<!--[[File:GarageImage_{{PAGENAME}}.jpg|420px|thumb|left]]
{{break}}-->
The '''{{Specs|name}}''' is a rank {{Specs|rank}} Japanese cruiser {{Battle-rating}}. It was introduced in [[Update 1.91 "Night Vision"]].

== General info ==
=== Survivability and armour ===
<!--Talk about the vehicle's armour. If necessary, use a graphical template to show the most well-protected or most vulnerable points in the armour.-->

The major downside of this ship is its extremely thin (25.4mm) turret armor so users will have a hard time dealing with HE spam from US DDs and Light Cruisers

=== Mobility ===
<!--Write about the ship's mobility. Evaluate its power and manoeuvrability, rudder rerouting speed, stopping speed at full tilt, with its maximum forward and reverse speed.-->

The ship can reach its max speed of 64 km/h (RB), with the complete rudder's turning time of 4.05 seconds (aced crew) which is one of the best for Heavy Cruisers.

== Armament ==
=== Primary armament ===
<!--Provide information about the characteristics of the primary armament. Evaluate their efficacy in battle based on their reload speed, ballistics and the capacity of their shells. Add a link to the main article about the weapon: <code><nowiki>{{main|Weapon name (calibre)}}</nowiki></code>. Broadly describe the ammunition available for the primary armament, and provide recommendations on how to use it and which ammunition to choose.-->
{{main|20 cm/50 3rd year type No.2 (200 mm)}}

The IJN Mogami is equipped with 5 turrets of dual 20cm/50 3rd year type No.2 cannons, reload time: 13.94s (stock crew) and 12s (aced crew).

;Ammunition:

* 20.3 cm Type 0 HE(HE frag): maximum penetration: 93 mm; 8.57 Kg of TNT equivalent explosive filler.
* 20.3 cm Type 91 AP(APBC: maximum penetration: 364 mm; 3.25 Kg of TNT equivalent explosive filler
* 20.3 cm Type 0 HE(HE with time fuze): maximum penetration: 93 mm; 8.57 Kg of TNT equivalent explosive filler.

=== Secondary armament ===
<!--Some ships are fitted with weapons of various calibres. If there is no secondary armament, remove this section.-->
{{main|5 inch/40 Type 89 (127 mm)}}

The ship is fitted with four turrets of dual 5 inch/40 Type 89 cannons capable of long range AA work and anti patrol boat duties.

;Ammunition:

*127mm HE: maximum penetration: 54mm; 1.96 Kg of TNT quivalent explosive filler.
*127mm Type 1 HE(HE with time fuze): maximum penetration: 54mm; 2.31 Kg of TNT equivalent explosive filler.

=== Anti-aircraft armament ===
<!--An important part of the ship's armament responsible for air defence. Anti-aircraft armament is defined by the weapon chosen with the control <code>Select anti-aircraft weapons</code>. Talk about the ship's anti-air cannons and machine guns, the number of guns and their positions, their effective range, and about their overall effectiveness – including against surface targets. If there are no anti-aircraft armaments, remove this section.-->
{{main|Type 93 (13.2 mm)|Type 96 (25 mm)}}

The ship is also fitted with four dual-mount 25 mm Type 96 cannons and two dual-mount 13.2 mm Type 93 machine guns

=== Torpedo armament ===
{{main|Type 93 Model 1, Mod 2}}

Four triple-mount 533mm Type 93 "Long Lance" torpedo launchers, with two on each side. Altogether, the IJN Mogami is holds 24 torpedoes total

== Usage in battles ==

=== Pros and cons ===
<!--Summarise and briefly evaluate the vehicle in terms of its characteristics and combat effectiveness. Mark its pros and cons in the bulleted list. Try not to use more than 6 points for each of the characteristics. Avoid using categorical definitions such as "bad", "good" and the like - use substitutions with softer forms such as "inadequate" and "effective".-->

'''Pros:'''

*One of the most devastating broadside salvos in the game for a Cruiser
*Good armor when angled
*Decent mobility
*24 Devastating Long lance torpedoes at its disposal
*The Ability to seemingly eat infinite ammounts of ship torpedoes to the bow and or stern

'''Cons:'''

*Extremely weak turret armour
*Very slow turrets traverse time (4.0 degrees per second)
*Easy to ammorack when unangled

== History ==
<!--Describe the history of the creation and combat usage of the ship in more detail than in the introduction.

Fully spaded without load this attack helicopter can fly 315 kph in cruise speed. In reality with the most common load of 8 x hellfire missiles and 4 x mistrals is reaching almost 300 kph which is really great. Tiger itself requires skill to fly. Proper manipulation of collective pitch and understanding in what circumstances you as a pilot cannot overload the engines and how to perform aggressive manoeuvres (especially on low attitudes and against planes) will make this machine extremely deadly. Tiger feels heavy but agile at the same time.
=== Survivability and armour ===
This is one of the best-protected helicopters in the game, thanks to the composite tub around the crew and the firewall separating the 2 engines. To make use of this, when attacked by plane the best option is to face it frontally to create the smallest possible area to hit. But like every helicopter damaged near engines, main rotor or tail (Otomatic's rain of explosive shells is very dangerous) can be taken down fairly quickly.

== Armaments ==
=== Offensive armament ===
{{main|GIAT M781 (30 mm)}}

'''''{{PAGENAME}}''''' is outfitted with the following:

1 x 30 mm GIAT M781 autocannon (750 RPG)

30 mm cannon is equipped only with high explosive ammo (4 mm penetration) so it is advised to be used only against Aircraft, and Soft, open topped vehicles.

=== Suspended armament ===
<!--''Describe the aircraft's suspended armament: additional cannons under the wings, bombs, rockets and torpedoes. This section is especially important for bombers and attackers. If there is no suspended weaponry remove this subsection.''-->
{{main|SNEB Type 23|HOT-3|AGM-114B Hellfire|Mistral}}

=== Defensive armament ===
<!--''Defensive armament with turret machine guns or cannons, crewed by gunners. Examine the number of gunners and what belts or drums are better to use. If defensive weaponry is not available, remove this subsection.''-->
{{main|Flares}}

== Usage in battles ==
<!--''Describe the tactics of playing in a helicopter, the features of using a helicopter in a team and advice on tactics. Refrain from creating a "guide" - do not impose a single point of view, but instead, give the reader food for thought. Examine the most dangerous enemies and give recommendations on fighting them. If necessary, note the specifics of the game in different modes (AB, RB, SB).''-->

For Realistic and Simulation Battles best tactic is to stay as low as possible and at first perform reconnaissance. If you start with the helicopter, your first goal is to find and take down enemy helicopters on flanks (don't bother on ones over the battlefield as you will most likely be destroyed by anti-aircraft fire). It is best to use flares before you think you might need them as firing them too late are a very common mistake that helicopter pilots make, as when the red launch is an indication that it already may be too late.

The second task is to find good flank position or behind if possible (watch out for helipads anti-aircraft fire) spot to scan for potential ground enemies. Targeting sight on top of the cabin called STRIX gives the possibility to stay low and watch the area around. Use thermal vision, but don't hesitate to switch back to normal view (especially while shooting HOT-3 missiles which might cause light-bloom and obscure your view in thermal-mode). The Tiger can carry up to 8 x Hellfire missiles. The biggest advantage of AGM-114 is the fact that while shooting they do not give up and will continue to seek the enemy's helicopter position until the fuel runs out, unlike other directly shot ATGMs. In terms of effectiveness, it can be very deadly but only when know how to use it, however since Hellfire attacks from the top it might be hard to hit moving targets with it. The best way is to aim and shoot behind or before the target and in last moment re-aim on the enemy (typically around four seconds before hit-this technique requires practice). This might make your chance higher to directly hit the enemy on the move. Once again stay low, between buildings, trees, almost on the ground if necessary, listen to the sky for planes sound. Don't stay in gunner's view to long. Watch what's going on around you all the time. Eurocopter Tiger HAD has all the tools to fight with air and ground and to survive. Use all tools, bind all keys for easy access (flares, hoover mode, aim and launch AA mistrals). It's a high learning curve, high reward deadly machine.

=== ''Pros and cons'' ===
''Summarise and briefly evaluate the vehicle in terms of its characteristics and combat effectiveness. Mark its pros and cons in the bulleted list. Avoid using categorical definitions such as "bad", "good" and the like - use substitutions with softer forms such as "inadequate" and "effective".''
Z20 Karl Galster was the fourth of six ships of the 1936 class destroyers laid down in the DeSchiMAG shipyard in Bremen. She was laid down on 14 September 1937 and completed in March 1939. Being part of the final German destroyer class to receive names after WWI sailors, captains, and admirals, the Z20 was also named in honour of Captain Karl Galster. Captain Karl Galster was the commander of the S22 torpedo boat in WWI, who went down with his ship after striking a mine while intercepting a squadron of British ships, including HMS Vindex, near the island of Sylt. During WWII, Z20 Karl Galster took part in various mine-laying operations in the English channel and Baltic sea as well as taking part in the invasion of Denmark and Norway as part of the Operation “Weserübung”. Although the war had claimed her other five sister ships, Karl Galster survived right up until the very end of the war, helping in evacuating German soldiers from coastline ports scattered around the Baltic during the last few days of WWII.

After the German surrender on 8 May 1945, Z20 returned to her homeport of Kiel and surrendered to the British. However, her career was not over just yet. In 1946, Z20 Karl Galster was given to the Soviet Union as a war prize and was subsequently renamed to Prochny. She would serve under Soviet command for another decade, until 1956, before being decommissioned ultimately scrapped in the 1950s.

== Description ==
<!--In the first part of the description, cover the history of the ship’s creation and military application. In the second part, tell the reader about using this ship in the game. Add a screenshot. If a beginner player has a hard time remembering vehicles by name, a picture will help them identify the ship in question.-->
{{Break}}
The '''{{specs|name}}''' is a premium rank {{specs|rank}} Japanese destroyer {{Battle-rating}}. It was introduced in [[Update 1.89 "Imperial Navy"]].

== General info ==
=== Survivability and armour ===
''Talk about the vehicle's armour. Note the most well-defended and most vulnerable zones, e.g. the ammo magazine. Evaluate the composition of components and assemblies responsible for movement and manoeuvrability. Evaluate the survivability of the primary and secondary armament separately. Don't forget to mention the size of the crew, which plays an important role in fleet mechanics. Save tips for preserving survivability in the "Use in battle" section.''

''If necessary, use a graphics template to show the most well-protected or most vulnerable points in the armour.''

=== Mobility ===
''Write about the ship’s mobility. Evaluate its power and manoeuvrability, rudder rerouting speed, stopping speed at full tilt, with its maximum forward speed and reverse speed.''

== Armament ==
=== Primary armament ===
{{main|Type 3 (127 mm)}}
The Kiyoshimo has 6 127mm dual purpose guns that have a high velocity and flat trajectory that enables you to easily hit targets at 10km. With an Ace crew you can reduce the reload rate to ~6 Seconds, which enables you to win long ranged gunfights. If the Kiyoshimo is caught at close range, it is suggested to take out the enemies turrets and go for crew as these guns lack any type of AP shells.

=== Secondary armament ===
{{main|Type 96 (25 mm)}}
The Kiyoshimo is armed with 24 25mm AA guns as its only other AA other than its Main guns. These are effective at close range as they can throw alot of shells into the air, but it is recommended to stay near allied ships for air cover as the range of these guns is short.

=== Torpedo armament ===
{{main|Type 93}}
The Kiyoshimo's torpedoes are the special Type 93 Mod 3 torpedoes, Only found on the Akizuki. It has reduced range of 15 km compared to the standard 20km Type 93 mod 1s found on other Japanese ships. While not gaining any speed advantage, though what it gains is a even large warhead. ~1000kg of TNT instead of ~600. These torpedoes have a tendency to oneshot anything they hit. These are especially useful in naval EC.

=== Special armament ===
{{main|Type 95 depth charge}}
''Depth charges, mines, rocket launchers and missiles are also effective in skilled hands and can take an off-guard opponent by surprise. Evaluate the ammunition of this type of armament and rate its performance in combat.''

==Usage in battles==
