The Flz.-Rakete Oerlikon is a very reliable unguided rocket with a very high penetration (between 300mm - 150mm) and a maximum velocity of 651 m/s.

Each missile carries 1kg of HBX which equals 1,6kg TNT. In the most cases the explosive mass is sufficient for destroying tanks with one hit.

Its high penetration makes it perfect for attacking armoured vehicles from all possible angles.

Due to its high speed it can also used against other aircraft, especially slower and bigger targets like bombers and ground attackers.

The 8cm Flz.-Rakete Oerlikon is an armor piercing rocket with a medium load of explosives.

The damage inflicted by the Flz.-Rakete is decent, but it has low spall after penetration. The rockets work really well against vehicles and pillboxes but because of the shaped charge, they suffer against soft targets like AA emplacements and howitzers.

The 8 cm Flz. Rakete is comparable to the American [[FFAR Mighty Mouse]], Soviet [[S-5K]], British [[RN]], and French [[SNEB type 23]] rockets.
== Usage in battles ==
Perfect for destroying tanks in Ground RB, and pillboxes and other vehicles in air battles. As the explosion is very small - compared to HE rockets - it is not effective against soft targets unlike other rockets. On the other hand the good penetration makes the rocket very suitable for tank busting. Tanks are engaged best at the side armor from distances between 600m - 300m.

In RB it is also a reliable secondary weapon for air combat. In dogfight and head on situations use salvos of at least 4 rockets. When chasing (fleeing) bombers aim thoughtfully and fire single rockets to shoot in. When you metered out the correct angle fire salvos. Even hits at 1,5km to 2,5km are possbile.
