<!--Offensive and anti-aircraft machine guns not only allow you to fight some aircraft, but also are effective against lightly armoured vehicles. Evaluate machine guns and give recommendations on its use.-->

Secondary weapons are a 7.62 mm coaxial machine gun, and another 7.62 mm machine gun on the roof for anti-aircraft purposes

== Usage in battles ==
With a top speed of 110kph, a two-plane stabilizer, access to thermals and HEAT-FS, and sitting at a battle rating of 8.0, the Centuro is truely the jack of all trades. This AFV can fill a variety of roles with frightening efficiency.

'''As a sniper'''

In a sniping role, the Centuro has two primary advantages: One; it has access to HEAT-FS, and two; It has thermal imaging. The HEAT-FS round has good velocity and is often more than enough to deal signifigant damage to any poor enemy tank that enters your gunsights. The thermal imaging mod allows you to pick out targets and countersnipe like nobody's buisiness, letting you be able to dominate the battlefield for your team.

'''As a flanker'''

As a flanker, the Centuro's lightning fast speed and two-plane stabilizer allows this AFV to quickly obliterate unaware enemy tanks and quickly move on before anyone notices. This deadly combo makes the Centuro one of, if not ''the best'' vehicle for flanking in the entire game. A resourceful Centuro player can often make use of thier low profile and fast speed to quickly break through enemy lines and wreck havok on tunnel-visioned snipers.

'''As a QRF'''

The Centuro's fast speed and very deadly gun, along with its aformentioned stabilizer and thermals also make it a very good choice for a Quick Responce Force, ''especially'' on maps covered mostly in asphalt, like Cargo Port, American Desert, or Alaska, to name a few. The fast speed of the Centuro allows to to quickly move to a capture point or to kill a pesky spawncamping Rooikat at a moments notice, and its two-plane stablilizer and thermal imaging lets it quickly find and dispatch its target.

=== Pros and cons ===
<!--Summarize and briefly evaluate the vehicle in terms of its characteristics and combat effectiveness. Mark its pros and cons in a bulleted list. Try not to use more than 6 points for each of the characteristics. Avoid using categorical definitions such as "bad", "good" and the like - they have a substitution in the form of softer "inadequate", "effective".-->

'''Pros:'''

* Easily the fastest and most agile tank compared to its contemporary competitors
* Excellent reverse speed of 40 km/h
* Has a two-plane gun stabiliser
* High penetration on the HEATFS rounds (400 mm)
* One of the best top speeds in the game (110 km)
* Decent reload time, 8.7 seconds when stock, 7.7 with expert crew + all reloading skills, and 6.7 seconds with an aced crew
* Three types of ammunition available (APDS, HEATFS, HESH)
* Upper plate will occasionally bounce incoming shells due to its angle, even HEATFS and HESH!
* Has access to smoke grenades and smoke shells
* Low silhouette
* Hard to destroy in a single shot due to crew placement
* Can perform a wide variety of roles, ranging from support, sniper and QRF
* Has thermal sights, very advantageous at the rank
* A group of well-coordinated players in Centauros are unstoppable
* Classified as a tank destroyer, making spawn costs cheaper in RB and SB
* Thermal imaging is a tier 1 mod, allowing you to unlock it immediately

'''Cons:'''

* Lacking in armour department, every gun can penetrate it including SPAA
* Has hull-break
* Rather difficult stock grind as the stock APDS post-penetration performance is rather poor
* Turret traverse is slow compared to other vehicles at the same battle rating such at the [[T95E1]], [[BMP-2]], and [[Warrior]] which you will face often
* Poor accuracy at a medium-long range when stock
* HEATFS is a tier 4 upgrade
* Doesn't come with stock HESH; has to be researched
* No explosive-filler shells (APHE, APCB)
* HEATFS while it has solid penetration, it deals only punctual damage; does not shrapnel well

== History ==
<!--''Describe the history of the creation and combat usage of the ground vehicle in more detail than in the introduction. Development of the B1 Centauro began during the 1980s after the Italian Army issued a set of requirements for a new vehicle that would have equivalent firepower to the Leopard 1 MBT in Italian service at the time, but with greater combat mobility.

In response to this, the Italian companies Fiat, Iveco and Oto Melara joined forces to begin developing the vehicle requested by the Italian Army. In this joint venture, Fiat and Iveco were developing the vehicle’s hull and power supply, whilst Oto Melara took care of the vehicle’s turret and weapon systems.

In 1986, the final prototype of the B1 Centauro project was unveiled on Sardinia. The presented vehicle was an eight-wheeled lightly armored tank destroyer, equipped with a derived modification of the L7 105mm cannon, capable of reaching a very high top speed and covering large distances under its own power.

Impressed by the B1 Centauro, the Italian Military placed orders for a number of vehicles, with the first ones entering service as early as 1992. Early on in its service life, the Centauro received an ERA upgrade package that allowed for the installation of [[Centauro ROMOR|ROMOR ERA]] packs on the vehicle’s hull and turret sides as well as rear.

B1 Centauros took part in most major conflicts that defined the '90s and early 2000s, most notably in former Yugoslavia, Somalia, Iraq, Afghanistan and others. Apart from the Italian Army, other noteworthy operators of the Centauro include Spain, Jordan and Oman.

Around 400 B1 Centauros were built until 2006, including some other derived modifications of the vehicle filling other roles. The B1 Centauro still serves with the Italian as well as other armed forces to this day.
== Usage in battles ==

=== Pros and cons ===

* Excellent reverse speed of 40 km/h
* Has a two-plane gun stabiliser
* Low silhouette

'''Cons:'''

* Lacking in armour department, every gun can penetrate it including SPAA
* Has hull-break
* HEATFS is a tier 4 upgrade
* Doesn't come with stock HESH; has to be researched
* No explosive-filler shells (APHE, APCB)
* HEATFS while it has solid penetration, it deals only punctual damage; does not shrapnel well

{{break}}
The '''{{Specs|name}}''' (shortened as '''{{Specs|pseudonym}}''') is a Rank {{Specs|rank}} Italian tank destroyer {{Battle-rating}}. It was introduced in [[Update 1.85 "Supersonic"]].

== General info ==
=== Survivability and armour ===
<!--''Describe armour protection. Note the most well protected and key weak areas. Appreciate the layout of modules as well as the number and location of crew members. Is the level of armour protection sufficient, is the placement of modules helpful for survival in combat?''

''If necessary use a visual template to indicate the most secure and weak zones of the armour.''-->
The Breda 501 represents a large and poorly-armoured target for any enemy vehicle. The crew members, barring the driver, are extremely exposed to machine-gun fire and players will regularly find themselves being strafed into oblivion by aircraft.

The vehicles' internal modules are spread throughout, with the engine and ammo racks being placed high up at the rear behind only 8mm of armour. This makes it possible for the Breda to be immobilised entirely by machine-gun fire. As well as this, the Bredas' gun breech is totally exposed and rises above even the minimal side armour, making it incredibly easy to knock out from the sides.

The thickest armour on the vehicle is the 30mm gun shield and frontal plate. This protects from heavy machine guns but does little to stop any kind of tank shell, making the Breda easy to penetrate even for lower-rank SPAA.

Despite the Breda's thin armour and large size, these traits can often work in the tank destroyer's favor. The thin plating of the vehicle means that shells will often overpen, and the large size of the truck and the well spaced crew means that if a shell ''does'' hit the truck, the damage is minimized and often non-lethal. Additionally, the nature of the Breda as an open-top tank means that enemy tankers will often instincively attempt to kill it not with thier main cannons, but rather thier MGs, which require precise aiming to hit the 4 exposed crew members . Most of said rounds will often just bounce off the 30mm gun shield, which can buy the driver of the Breda valuable seconds to either kill the enemy or to run away.

=== Mobility ===
<!--''Write about the mobility of the ground vehicle. Estimate the specific power and manoeuvrability as well as the maximum speed forwards and backwards.''-->
{{tankMobility|abMinHp= 202|rbMinHp= 126}}

As a wheeled vehicle the {{PAGENAME}} struggles on any kind of soft ground such as snow, sand and wet mud. It also cannot turn on the spot as a tracked vehicle can, making turning the vehicle around in a confined space extremely time-consuming when combined with its very slow reverse speed.

However, the {{PAGENAME}} does boast a high straight-line speed, and can easily hit 50 kph on flat smooth ground allowing it to outrun the majority of vehicles it faces. It can also corner quickly when moving forward, allowing it to zip around the streets of urban maps at high rates of speed, perfect for a flank-minded playstyle

== Usage in battles ==
<!--''Describe the tactics of playing in the vehicle, the features of using vehicles in the team and advice on tactics. Refrain from creating a "guide" - do not impose a single point of view but give the reader food for thought. Describe the most dangerous enemies and give recommendations on fighting them. If necessary, note the specifics of the game in different modes (AB, RB, SB).''-->
The Breda 501 boasts a very effective high-velocity gun for its rank, offering high penetration and excellent post-penetration damage. This combines well with the vehicles' high top speed and allows players to quickly get into strong flanking positions early in the game. The Breda can heavily punish enemy vehicles from a variety of ranges in these positions.

The Breda can also be used in a more aggressive role on some urban maps. The 90 mm gun has an excellent horizontal traverse range, meaning players can get their gun sighted around corners without fully exposing the vehicle. With a high top speed, the Breda can knock out enemy tanks before quickly disengaging, although players must beware of the slow reverse speed when planning an ambush.

The Breda will often encounter the Sherman Jumbo, whose thick, angled frontal armour presents a significant challenge. If possible the Breda should look to flank the Jumbo, where its gun can easily obliterate the US tank from the side. If forced to engage an angled Jumbo from the front, the Shermans' machine gun port represents a small weak spot. Aside from this, shots into the turret ring can penetrate the Jumbo, but this may not be reliable.

=== Pros and cons ===
<!--''Summarize and briefly evaluate the vehicle in terms of its characteristics and combat effectiveness. Mark its pros and cons in a bulleted list. Try not to use more than 6 points for each of the characteristics. Avoid using categorical definitions such as "bad", "good" and the like - they have a substitution in the form of softer "inadequate", "effective".''-->
'''Pros:'''

* Excellent gun with a fast reload, good penetration and high explosive mass
* Wide horizontal gun traverse for a tank destroyer
* High top speed and excellent agility on flat hard ground
* Great gun horizontal guidance, can shoot diagonal easily

'''Cons:'''

* Very poor armour and exposed crew - ammunition racks are easily targeted
* Stout recoil combined with the vehicle's high profile and low weight means that each shot, especially when firing to the sides, will violently shake the vehicle and throw off the aim
* Poor depression of only -4 degrees hinders use of hulldown positions behind hills
* Machine guns only fire over the back of the vehicle with limited arcs of fire and very small magazine capacity; effectively useless in most situations
* Very poor mobility on soft ground and lacks neutral turning
* Painfuly slow reverse speed

The Italians had truck-mounted their heavy AA guns beginning in 1927 with the Autocannoni da 75/27, mounted on an unarmoured Ceirano chassis. 24 of these were manufactured and used during the Spanish Civil War, and some were still in service in the early stages of the North Africa campaign. The first Autocannone da 90/53 was a similar Lancia 3 RO 4x4 heavy truck with bolt-on frontal armour and the 90mm AA gun, and intended to be used as a dual-purpose anti-tank weapon as well. Somewhere around 50 may have been built, and they served throughout the Italian War, beginning in early 1942 with the 132nd Artillery Regiment in the Ariete Division. The Italians planned a change to the Breda Dovunque 6x6 truck in its place, which would have made the Breda 501 shown in game.

During the North African campaign, the Italian military quickly realized the effectiveness of their 90mm heavy AA cannon, commonly mounted on utility trucks. The cannon turned out to be just as good at dealing with enemy tanks as it was combating aircraft, being able to pierce the armor of virtually any allied tank it faced in the deserts of North Africa. However, whilst the mounting on truck chassis allowed the guns to be moved around with relative ease, the large silhouette and lack of armor protection heavily exposed these vehicles and their crews to even rifle-caliber fire, yet alone to shrapnel from nearby explosions. In 1942, the military top brass came up with a set of requirements for a new vehicle which would build up on the proven gun truck concept used in North Africa by increasing protection and mobility. The new vehicle would be designed as a dedicated SPG, intended solely to provide support to armored regiments in combating enemy tanks. Shortly after, the Breda company began work on a vehicle around those specifications. Breda based their new design on a chassis of an existing utility truck and added armor plating to the vehicle’s front and sides. The 90mm cannon would be installed in an open fighting compartment in the vehicle’s rear. In 1943, the prototype was finished and began undergoing testing as the Breda 501. Although the Breda 501 had successfully proven itself during testing, further development and potential mass production was hindered by Italy’s capitulation in late 1943. The project was ultimately cancelled with the signing of the armistice in late 1943 with only a couple prototypes of the Breda 501 being built of which none saw any combat use.
The '''{{Specs|name}}''' is a rank {{Specs|rank}} Italian tank destroyer {{Battle-rating}}. It was introduced in [[Update 1.85 "Supersonic"]].

== General info ==
=== Survivability and armour ===
The 75/32, while not exactly ''well'' armoured, is centainly armoured enough to get the job done. It comes with a flat 50mm plate on the front protecting the crew, tailed by a 25mm thick plate just below it, constructed at an 80 degree angle (which provides around 70mm of effective armour), and a 30mm sloped plate below that, which mostly houses the transmission. The sides and rear of the tank destroyer are both 25mm, and they both use mostly flat plates. The roof armour of the cab is 15mm thick, and flat, and the engine roof is 10mm but slightly angled. Take note of the roof thicknesses because the 75/32 is often targeted by American CAS with .50s, who will often either attempt to kill the crew or at the very least kill the engine. Two crew members; the Driver and the Loader, sit on the left side of the tank, with the loader positioned right behind the driver. On the other side of the tank sits the Gunner (who is also the Commander), and behind him sits the ammo. Inbetween these crew members is the 75mm gun, and covering them up to thier knees is the transmission. The spaced out crew means that if the Gunner is killed there is a good chance the Loader and Driver will survive, however, if the Loader and Driver are hit, they will likely die together, killing the tank instantly. The transmission can act as an odd shield and can occasionally eat a stray round or two and sacrifice itself to keep the crew alive.
'''Pros:'''

* Low profile
* Decent 75 mm gun

'''Cons:'''

* Overall armour is not very good
* Thin top armour; can be vulnerable to strafing aircraft
* Acceleration and speed leaves things to be desired
* Slower reload than other 75 mm italian SPG
About 25 Semoventi 75/18s were re-equipped in mid-1943 with the improved 75/32 field gun, which had a longer barrel, increased muzzle velocity and range compared to the 75/18 howitzer. Some of these saw combat with the 135th "Ariete II" Armored Division around Rome in September 1943. A number were confiscated by Germany on Italy's surrender and turned over to Fascist Italian forces.
{{break}}
The '''{{Specs|name}}''' (shortened as '''{{Specs|pseudonym}}''') is a Rank {{Specs|rank}} Italian medium tank {{Battle-rating|1}}. It was introduced in [[Update 1.85 "Supersonic"]].

== General info ==
=== Survivability and armour ===

The M14/41 offers quite good armour and survivability for a rank I vehicle. The turret can block some distant shots with its 45mm front and the sharp edges around the mantlet may riccochet some rounds. The upper glacis is almost impenetrable from the front due to the sharp angle. The most obvious weakspot is drivers vision slit and the side armour is lackluster with 25mm and no slopes. Placement of the crew is very good for the size of the tank, AP shots will often hit only one crew member due to the spacing and the driver and machine gunner sit very low behind the transmission.

=== Mobility ===
<!-- ''Write about the mobility of the ground vehicle. Estimate the specific power and manoeuvrability, as well as the maximum speed forwards and backwards.'' -->

{{tankMobility|abMinHp= 248|rbMinHp= 142}}

== Armaments ==
=== Main armament ===
<!--''Give the reader information about the characteristics of the main gun. Assess its effectiveness in a battle based on the reloading speed, ballistics and the power of shells. Do not forget about the flexibility of the fire, that is how quickly the cannon can be aimed at the target, open fire on it and aim at another enemy. Add a link to the main article on the gun: <code><nowiki>{{main|Name of the weapon}}</nowiki></code>. <!--''Describe the history of the creation and combat usage of the ground vehicle in more detail than in the introduction. After the extensive use in Yugoslavia, Greece and North Africa uncovered numerous mechanical and reliability problems with the [[M13/40_(I)|M13/40 tank]], Italian engineers set out to address these issues. Instead of developing a whole new vehicle which would replace the flawed M13/40, engineers at Fiat-Ansaldo decided to instead further develop and improve the M13/40's design and solve the various issues along the way. As a result, the new M14/41 was developed. Closely resembling its predecessor, the M14/41 was hard to distinguish from its predecessor as most of the changes and improvements were made to the vehicle’s internals. Improvements included a new, slightly more powerful engine and transmission, improved air filters and electrics as well as several other changes. Production was quickly approved and began in August 1941, with existing M13/40 hulls simply being upgraded to the M14/41 standard. The first units arrived to frontline troops in North Africa by the end of the year, but only saw limited service in that theatre. The M14/41 was produced for only a short period of time, but close to 700 units were made.
The '''{{Specs|name}}''' (shortened as '''{{Specs|pseudonym}}''') is a Rank {{Specs|rank}} Italian medium tank {{Battle-rating|1}}. It was introduced in [[Update 1.85 "Supersonic"]].

== General info ==
=== Survivability and armour ===

=== Mobility ===
<!-- ''Write about the mobility of the ground vehicle. Estimate the specific power and manoeuvrability, as well as the maximum speed forwards and backwards.'' -->

{{tankMobility|abMinHp= 248|rbMinHp= 142}}

== Armaments ==
=== Main armament ===
The '''{{Specs|name}}''' (shortened as '''{{Specs|pseudonym}}''') is a Rank {{Specs|rank}} Italian tank destroyer {{Battle-rating}}. It was introduced in [[Update 1.85 "Supersonic"]].

== General info ==
=== Survivability and armour ===

Armour is not great, but the gun shield protects from .50 cal fire from the front and the very sloped hull armor can bounce shots. The back is very vulnerable as your crew can be knocked out by anything and the ammo is also stored there. One artillery shell behind you can one shot the 90/53.

Despite that, it has better survivability than what people may expect from such a thin armored vehicle. Because of its layout, the 90/53 M41M separates the crew into two different areas, the front compartment of the hull and the rear turret, with the engine bay in between. This also gives additional protection from the front side to the ammunition storage area, and so being destroyed by an ammo explosion is not a frequent thing.

=== Mobility ===
<!--''Write about the mobility of the ground vehicle. Estimate the specific power and maneuverability as well as the maximum speed forward and backward.''
-->
The Mobility is good on flat terrain and even on some slopes, about the same as other Italian tanks on the same chassis. Due to the 90° horizontal fire angle, the 90/53 can drive diagonally while aiming.

== Armaments ==
=== Main armament ===
<!--''Give the reader information about the characteristics of the main gun. Assess its effectiveness in a battle based on the reloading speed, ballistics and the power of shells. == Usage in battles ==
Due to it's high penetration at close ranges, excellent turret traverse and surprising survivability the 90/53 can preform quite well in CQC combat in an urban environment. The 90/53 is quite lethal to most tanks it comes across and can deal quite easily with vehicles other tanks typically struggle with, such as KV-1s. This comes at the sacrifice of an exposed rear, so it is typically advised to make sure that your rear is always secure and not to overextend from your allies. Alternatively, the high caliber of the shell does make the 90/53 viable at range, but the lack of ammunition and machine guns for rangefinding make this task quite difficult. When entering battle, a full load of Granata Preforante mod.43 is typically advised.

The 90/53 is extremely venerable to AA guns as they can typically shred the 90/53's thin armor and should be avoided at all costs. Strafing from planes is also a common annoyance, as its lightly armored and semi-exposed crew are easy targets from the air. Try to avoid open areas and stick to places with limited visibility from the air, such as forests and towns where planes will have trouble spotting you. If a plane is targeting you it might be wise to back your exposed rear into a solid object, like a wall or a cliffside to prevent the plane from hitting your rear.

=== Pros and cons ===
'''Pros:'''

* Wide traverse angle
* Exceptionally lethal APHE shells with outstanding penetration
* Acceptable reloading time

'''Cons:'''

* Poor gun depression
* Extremely poor ammunition capacity (8 rounds)
* Poor armour & exposed crewmembers in the turret
* Poor dispersion, especially without upgrades
* Mediocre mobility

== History ==
<!--Describe the history of the creation and combat usage of the ground vehicle in more detail than in the introduction.
The Semovente M41M da 90/53 consisted of the 90 mm anti-aircraft gun mounted on the rear of a lengthened M14/41 hull and chassis. The engine was moved from the rear of the vehicle to a central position. Conceived and built specifically for anti-tank use on the Eastern Front after it was clear Italian forces had no answer to Russian tanks like the T-34, was hurriedly designed and rushed into production in early 1942. In practice the large gun overstressed the chassis and engine, so production stopped after 30 were produced and none were ever sent to Russia. Only a handful of rounds could be carried on the vehicle; it had to be accompanied by a turretless L6/40 tank used as its ammunition carrier.

Twenty-four surviving vehicles were formed into the 10th Self-Propelled Gun Unit (Raggruppamento Semoventi), divided into 3 gruppi. It was sent to Sicily in June, 1943, and was deployed against the US 7th Army in fighting in the Licata area, losing all but two of its vehicles. These last two vehicles were abandoned and captured in Messina when Sicily fell. The few left behind in Italy were seized and used by Germany.
== Usage in battles ==

If a plane is targeting you it might be wise to back your exposed rear into a solid object, like a wall or a cliffside to prevent the plane from hitting your exposed rear.
=== Pros and cons ===
'''Pros:'''

* Wide traverse angle
* Exceptionally lethal APHE shells with outstanding penetration
* Acceptable reloading time

'''Cons:'''

* Poor gun depression
* Extremely poor ammunition capacity (8 rounds)
* Poor armour & exposed crewmembers in the turret
* Poor dispersion, especially without upgrades
* Mediocre mobility
