It is manufactured by Eurocopter (now Airbus Helicopters), the successor company to Aérospatiale's and DASA's respective helicopter divisions, which designate it as the '''EC665.''' HAD Variant (''Hélicoptère d'Appui Destruction - which means Support and Destruction Helicopter)'' is a development of previous cancelled HAC (''Helicoptere Anti-Char - stands for Anti-Tank Helicopter).'' Since French Army found HAD more attractive than the HAC variant, and so adjusted their order for Tigers from 70 HAP and 10 HAC to 40 HAP and 40 HAD machines, all the HAD machines being delivered by 2012. Armament includes Hellfire anti-armor missiles -- delays in the Trigat program drove the French to use the Hellfire, which had been qualified for the Aussie Tiger program -- and Mistral AAMs. Initial flight of the first of two HAD prototypes was in December 2007. In reality deliveries for HADs to France began in 2013; shipments of the "Block 2" HAD began in 2015, this subvariant featuring digital communications, improved targeting accuracy, combat external tanks, and navalizations for shipboard use. Interesting fact is that 36 surviving French HAP Tigers are now being updated to HAD standard, the first being redelivered in 2017.
=== Flight performance ===
''Fully spaded without load this attack helicopter can fly 315km/h in cruise speed. In reality with most common load of 8x hellfire missiles and 4x mistrals is reaching almost 300km/h which is really great. Tiger itself requires skill to fly. Proper manipulation of collective pitch and understanding in what circumstances you as a pilot cannot overload the engines and how to perform aggressive manoeuvres (especially on low attitudes and against planes) will make this machine extremely deadly. === Survivability and armour ===
''This is the best protected helicopter in the game. It's not a tank but you might be surprised how well it can survive even A-G missile hit. When attacked by plane best option is to face it frontally to create smallest possible area to hit. But like every helicopter damaged near engines, main rotor or tail (otomatic's rain of explosive shells is very dangerous) can be taken down fairly quickly.''

== Armaments ==
=== Offensive armament ===
''Main weapons of HAD variant are 30mm GIAT cannon, HOT-3 missiles, AGM-114 hellfire missiles and anti air ATAM (mistrals)''

30mm cannon is equipped only with high explosive ammo (4mm penetration) so it is effective only against other helicopters and planes on this BR

=== Suspended armament ===
''Describe the aircraft's suspended armament: additional cannons under the wings, bombs, rockets and torpedoes. This section is especially important for bombers and attackers. If there is no suspended weaponry remove this subsection.''

=== Defensive armament ===
''Flares, speed and low level flying is most valuable defensive armament of Tiger''

== Usage in battles ==
''For Realistic and Simulation Battles best tactic is to stay as low as possible and as first do the RECONNAISSANCE. If you start with helicopter, your first goal is to find and take down enemy helicopters on flanks (don't bother on ones over the battlefield as you will die like them most likely). Use flares as soon as you will notice he could see you and soon will be on AA distance. To late flares are very common heli-pilots mistake as they wait for red launch information instead of create "flare safe zone around them" before. Second task is to find good flank or behind if possible (watch out for helipads AA fire) spot to scan for potential ground enemies. Targeting sight on top of the cabin called STRIX gives possibility to stay low and watch area around. Use thermovision, but don't hesitate to switch back to normal view (especially while shooting HOT-3 missiles which might cover your view in thermal-mode). Tiger can carry up to 8x Hellfire missiles. Biggest advantage of AGM-114 is the fact that while shooting they are not giving up shooting helicopters position as other directly shot ATGMs. In terms of effectiveness it can be very deadly but only when know how to use it, however since hellfire attacks from top it might be hard to hit moving targets with it. Best way is to aim and shoot behind or before the target and in last moment re-aim on enemy (like around 4 seconds before hit-this technique requires practice). This might make your chance higher to directly hit enemy in move. Once again stay LOW, between buildings, trees, almost on the ground if necessary, listen the sky for planes sound. Don't stay in gunner's view to long. Watch what's going on around you all the time. Eurocopter Tiger HAD has all tools to fight with air and ground and to survive. Use all tools, bind all keys for easy access (flares, hoover mode, aim and launch AA mistrals). It's a high learning curve, high reward deadly machine.''

=== ''Pros and cons'' ===
''Summarise and briefly evaluate the vehicle in terms of its characteristics and combat effectiveness. Mark its pros and cons in the bulleted list. Try not to use more than 6 points for each of the characteristics. Avoid using categorical definitions such as "bad", "good" and the like - use substitutions with softer forms such as "inadequate" and "effective".''
== History ==
''In the early 1980s the German Army wanted to obtain a second-generation anti-armor helicopter, formalized in the "PanzerAbwehr Hubschrauber 2 (PAH-2)" specification. The French Army was also seeking a new anti-armor helicopter under the "Helicoptere Anti-Char (HAC)" specification, and so the two countries decided to collaborate, signing an MOU in 1984.''

''As is not unusual in collaborative defense efforts the program ran into a few snags, and in fact it was halted completely in mid-1986 to be completely reconsidered. It was re-initiated in March 1987, with the revised program projecting the construction of the PAH-2 / HAC anti-armor variant for both Germany and France, and an escort version, the "Helicoptere d'Appui Protection (HAP)" for the French.''

''Full-scale development got the green light at the end of 1987. A development contract specifying construction of five prototypes of the "Tiger" or "Tigre", as the gunship was named, was finally awarded on 30 November 1989 to Eurocopter GMBH, a joint company that had formed by Aerospatiale of France and MBB of Germany in 1985 to pursue the program. Eurocopter would later take over all the helicopter activities of both parent firms -- which in turn became major parts of the European Aeronautics Defense & Space (EADS) conglomerate. EADS would become the "Airbus Group" in turn in early 2014, with Eurocopter becoming Airbus Helicopters; the 21st-century name is used here for simplicity''.

== Usage in battles ==
Hellfire missile can be very deadly but only when know how to use it. Since hellfire attacks from top its hard to hit moving targets with it.
''This is the best protected helicopter in game. It's not a tank but you might be surprised how well can survive even AG missile hits. When attacked by plane best option is to face it frontally to create smallest possible area to hit. But like every helicopter damaged near engines, main rotor or tail (otomatic's rain of explosive shells is very dangerous) can be taken down fairly quickly.''
== Armaments ==
=== Offensive armament ===
''Describe the offensive armament of the aircraft, if any. Describe how effective the cannons and machine guns are in a battle, and also what belts or drums are better to use. If there is no offensive weaponry, delete this subsection.''

=== Suspended armament ===
''Describe the aircraft's suspended armament: additional cannons under the wings, bombs, rockets and torpedoes. This section is especially important for bombers and attackers. If there is no suspended weaponry remove this subsection.''

''Defensive armament with turret machine guns or cannons, crewed by gunners. Examine the number of gunners and what belts or drums are better to use. If defensive weaponry is not available, remove this subsection.''

== Usage in battles ==
Hellfire missile can be very deadly but only when know how to use it. Since hellfire attacks from top its hard to hit moving targets with it.
== Description ==
<!-- ''In the description, the first part should be about the history of and the creation and combat usage of the helicopter, as well as its key features. In the second part, tell the reader about the helicopter in the game. Insert a screenshot of the vehicle, so that if the novice player does not remember the vehicle by name, he will immediately understand what kind of vehicle the article is talking about.'' -->'''Eurocopter Tiger''' is a four-bladed, twin-engined attack helicopter which first entered service in 2003.
