The '''{{Specs|name}}''' is a rank {{Specs|rank}} Italian light cruiser {{Battle-rating}}. It was introduced in [[Update "Starfighters"]].

== General info ==
=== Survivability and armour ===
<!-- ''Talk about the vehicle's armour. Note the most well-defended and most vulnerable zones, e.g. the ammo magazine. Evaluate the composition of components and assemblies responsible for movement and manoeuvrability. Evaluate the survivability of the primary and secondary armaments separately. Don't forget to mention the size of the crew, which plays an important role in fleet mechanics. Save tips on preserving survivability for the "Usage in battles" section. If necessary, use a graphical template to show the most well-protected or most vulnerable points in the armour.'' -->
With 578 crew members, and an armour belt of 60 mm, the Raimondo Montecuccoli boasts one of the most reliable hulls for taking damage from the front. while not displayed in the armor viewer the 25 mm of steel armor surrounding the ship alongside the forward Fuel tanks, allow the ship to take prolonged fire while leaving its crew and modules protected. However when approached from the side the decent 60 mm armour belt turns into a downside, as it is easily penetrated by low ranking vessels such as the Sumner. The rear ammo rack is particularly easy to destroy because of its location at the water line, and lack of modules to absorb damage.

=== Mobility ===
<!-- ''Write about the ship's mobility. Evaluate its power and manoeuvrability, rudder rerouting speed, stopping speed at full tilt, with its maximum forward and reverse speed.'' -->
The Montecuccoli is tied with the Attilio Regolo as the fastest cruiser at 72 km/h.forward, while also boasting a high reverse speed of 32 km/h, while the Regolo can only reach a top speed of 26km/h in reverse. This high speed allows the Montecuccoli to dominate maps where it can push capture points or switch objectives quickly when needed.

{{NavalMobility}}

== Armament ==
=== Primary armament ===
<!-- ''Provide information about the characteristics of the primary armament. Evaluate their efficacy in battle based on their reload speed, ballistics and the capacity of their shells. Add a link to the main article about the weapon: <code><nowiki>{{main|Weapon name (calibre)}}</nowiki></code>. Broadly describe the ammunition available for the primary armament, and provide recommendations on how to use it and which ammunition to choose.'' -->
{{main|152/53 mm O.T.O. Mod.1929 (152 mm)}}

The Montecuccoli is equipped with 4 x 152/53 mm O.T.O Mod.1929 cannons x 2. This armament is divided between both sides of the ship allowing for good firing angles. The best round for the ship is the APHEBC palla with a penetration of 282 mm at 1,000m and an explosive mass of 800g. This shell allows the Montecuccoli to reliably frontally penetrate other ships bows to damage modules and ammunition racks when being pushed. As backup rounds the ship also carries two HE rounds labelled HE dirompente with 29 mm of penetration at any range or angle with an explosive mass of 2.39 kg, but the HE-TF round is also given a time fuse allowing it to be more versatile. because of the precarious ammunition rack location along the water. It is recommended to bring around 500 rounds of APHEBC for the primary round, and around 250 rounds of HE-TF to be used against smaller boats and aircraft.

=== Secondary armament ===
<!-- ''Some ships are fitted with weapons of various calibres. Secondary armaments are defined as weapons chosen with the control <code>Select secondary weapon</code>. Evaluate the secondary armaments and give advice on how to use them. Describe the ammunition available for the secondary armament. Provide recommendations on how to use them and which ammunition to choose. Remember that any anti-air armament, even heavy calibre weapons, belong in the next section. If there is no secondary armament, remove this section.'' -->
{{main|100 mm/47 O.T.O. Mod. 1928 (100 mm)}}

Equipped with 3 x 100 mm/47 O.T.O Mod. 1928 cannon x 2 the Montecuccoli is blessed with reliable secondary armament to be used when the primary armament is disabled. When used aggressively it is suggested to load primarily the APHE round because of its 150 mm of penetration at 100m, and its explosive mass at 820 g. This shell is reliable to disable the main turrets on other cruisers. However the HE-TF Contro-aerea is also useful as an anti aircraft shell, as well as using its 17 mm of penetration at any angle to deliver 1.3 kg of explosive mass to smaller pt boats.

=== Anti-aircraft armament ===
<!-- ''An important part of the ship's armament responsible for air defence. Anti-aircraft armament is defined by the weapon chosen with the control <code>Select anti-aircraft weapons</code>. Talk about the ship's anti-air cannons and machine guns, the number of guns and their positions, their effective range, and about their overall effectiveness – including against surface targets. If there are no anti-aircraft armaments, remove this section.'' -->
{{main|Oerlikon Mk.II (20 mm)|37 mm/54 Breda Mod.32 (37 mm)}}

The Montecuccoli is adequately protected from aircraft by 4 x 37 mm/54 Breda Mod.32 auto cannon x 2, and 10 x 20mm/70 Oerlikon Mk.2 auto cannon.in conjunction with the secondary armament the AI will have no trouble removing smaller targets during a battle leaving the player safe to engage larger targets with the primary armament.

=== Torpedo armament ===
<!-- ''Torpedo launchers are standard equipment on many ships and boats. Torpedoes are a significant means of defeating an opponent. Evaluate the position of the torpedo launchers, discuss the ammunition available, firing specifics such as dead zones, features of the torpedoes themselves, etc. If there is no torpedo armament, remove this section.'' -->
{{main|S.I. 270/533,4X7,2 Tipo M (533 mm)}}

Graced with the 533 mm steam turbined torpedo S.I. 270/533,4X7,2 Tipo M in dual mounts along the side of the main funnel, the Montecuccoli can achieve excellent firing angles for these torpedoes while also leaving them protected while charging an enemy. With torpedo mode enabled the torpedoes travel 12 km with a speed of 56 km/h, while disabled the torpedo travels 4 km at a speed of 93 km/h. because of the low amount of torpedoes (4 total) it is recommended to disable the torpedo mode as it allows the ship to more reliably aim the torpedoes while brawling.

== Usage in battles ==
<!-- ''Describe the technique of using this ship, the characteristics of her use in a team and tips on strategy. Abstain from writing an entire guide – don't try to provide a single point of view, but give the reader food for thought. Talk about the most dangerous opponents for this vehicle and provide recommendations on fighting them. If necessary, note the specifics of playing with this vehicle in various modes (AB, RB, SB).'' -->
The Raimondo Montecuccoli is second only to the Admiral Graf Spee in its ability to absorb damage using its bows large size, and lack of modules, allowing the ship to safely charge objectives or enemies. in addition to its high speed and excellent firing angles on the 4 torpedoes, it is best recommended to point the bow of the ship towards an enemy and close into the 4 km range of the torpedoes to get reliable kills on other cruisers that can't react to the positioning the Montecuccoli can achieve. This strategy works best against ships such as the Admiral Hipper, and Sverdlov. These ships lack the firepower to reliably disable the Montecuccoli, or adequately avoid the excellent torpedo spread the Montecuccoli can use. while this is the most enjoyable usage of the Montecuccoli, it isn't reliable for sustained game play as the ship can easily be flanked and destroyed after reaching the enemy lines. Ships such as the Admiral Graf Spee, Brooklyn, and Mogami can also counter this play style by using there excellent guns to penetrate the excellent bow protection to destroy the Montecuccoli. an alternative usage is as a stationary sniper after reaching an unexpected location by using its high speed. this play style eliminates the flanking threat, but limits the effectiveness of the guns and torpedoes.
The Raimondo Montecuccoli was designed in the third group of Condottieri-class light cruisers by Ansaldo, and Genoa. Named after the 17th century Italian general Raimondo Montecuccoli, the cruiser was involved in battles such as the battke if Punta Stilo, and convoy attacks during the battle of Pantelleria. The ship eventually ended surviving the war and acting as a training cruiser until 1961.
The Trento has reliable armor to protect the 987 crew allowing the ship to take a few hits when angled. The citadel is covered 70 mm of armor on the side, 60 mm at the bow behind the forward fuel tank, and 50 mm at the rear ending just before the last set of fuel tanks and pumps. this adequate armor scheme allows the ship to take damage fairly well, but prolonged engagements will have the crew and modules disabled quickly. The main turrets are encased in 100 mm of armor around, as well as decent angles causing the ship to rarely lose the main armament when in duels. however the bridge siting behind the front turrets is vulnerable as its only a flat 100 mm, meaning that its is reliably destroyed by other cruisers, but is protected from anything firing HE rounds. The biggest downfall of the Trento is fairly weak armor around the ammunition, with only 70 mm of armor near the water line these stowage rooms will quickly be set off if the ship is shot from a flank, however the armor is reliable enough to stop glancing shots when angled. the onboard torpedo reloads is also a concern on the ship, as when hit they will also incapacitate modules surrounding them. The Trento is at its highest survivability when angled bow in towards an opponent, with the torpedo load out unequipped before battle.

=== Mobility ===
<!-- ''Write about the ship's mobility. Evaluate its power and manoeuvrability, rudder rerouting speed, stopping speed at full tilt, with its maximum forward and reverse speed.'' -->
The Trento is tied with the IJN Kako, Tone, and Mogami as the fastest heavy cruisers in game at a speed of 65 km/h at full speed. The reverse speed is 25 km/h. overall the ship feels sluggish for its lackluster armor, and armament, but it is the most maneuverable in its class as a heavy cruiser.

{{NavalMobility}}

== Armament ==
Broadly describe the ammunition available for the primary armament, and provide recommendations on how to use it and which ammunition to choose.'' -->
{{main|203 mm/50 Ansaldo mod.1924 (203 mm)}}

The main armament of the Trento consists of 8 203 mm/50 Ansaldo Mod.1924 cannons in 4 dual mounted turrets. The primary round used on Trento is the 203 mm APHEBC Perforante with explosive mass of 3.16 kg, and 402 mm of penetration at 1000m. This shell can hit almost all modules in any ship,and is best used to counter ships trying to angle or hitting modules deep in a ship that are normally hard to penetrate. The next best round is the HE-TF Contro-aerea. This shell can pen 62 mm at any range with an explosive mass of 9.69 kg, as well as having a time fuze for use as an anti air shell. The final shell should be avoided as it is inferior to the other two rounds, as the HE Dirompente can only pen 58mm at any range with an explosive mass of 7.5 kg.

=== Secondary armament ===
<!-- ''Some ships are fitted with weapons of various calibres. Secondary armaments are defined as weapons chosen with the control <code>Select secondary weapon</code>. Provide recommendations on how to use them and which ammunition to choose. Remember that any anti-air armament, even heavy calibre weapons, belong in the next section. If there is no secondary armament, remove this section.'' -->
{{main|100 mm/47 O.T.O. Mod. 1928 (100 mm)}}

The secondary armament consists of 12 100 mm/47 O.T.O Mod.1928 cannons in 6 dual mounted turrets The ammunition selection consists of HE Dirompente, APHE Perforante, and HE-TF. Both HE rounds have a penetration of 17 mm at any range, and an explosive mass of 1.3 kg, while the APHE has a penetration of 150 mm at 100m and an explosive mass of 820g. The HE-TF is the best shell to have loaded for the AI controlling secondaries, because of its versatility shooting at planes and ships, but when controlled by the player the APHE can quickly dispatch smaller targets.

=== Anti-aircraft armament ===
<!-- ''An important part of the ship's armament responsible for air defence. Anti-aircraft armament is defined by the weapon chosen with the control <code>Select anti-aircraft weapons</code>. If there are no anti-aircraft armaments, remove this section.'' -->
{{main|Breda Model 31 (13.2 mm)|37 mm/54 Breda Mod.32 (37 mm)}}

The Anti-aircraft armament of the Trento consists of 8 27 mm/54 Breda Mod.32 auto cannons in 4 dual mounts, and 8 13.2 mm Breda Model 31 machine guns in 4 dual mounts. This is an adequate armament to destroy aircraft and smaller boats when needed.

=== Torpedo armament ===
{{main|S.I. 270/533,4X7,2 Tipo I (533 mm)}}

The Trento is armed with 16 533 mm steam turbined tropedo S.I. 270/533,4X7,2 Tipo I with an explosive mass of 270kg. With the torpedo mode disabled the torpedo will travel 4 km at a speed of 89 km/h. When enabled the torpedo will go 10 km at a speed of 70 km/h. It is not recommended to bring these torpedoes because it adds a massive external ammo rack that will disable the ship when hit, and the static broadside torpedo launchers are extremely hard to use in combat.

== Usage in battles ==
<!-- ''Describe the technique of using this ship, the characteristics of her use in a team and tips on strategy. Talk about the most dangerous opponents for this vehicle and provide recommendations on fighting them. If necessary, note the specifics of playing with this vehicle in various modes (AB, RB, SB).'' -->
The Trento is best used to support pushes towards caps by using its good module layout and crew compliment to safely approach an area to defend. finding a good spot to snipe from is important in the Trento's play style because its accurate guns allow it to defend zones from a distance. Brawling can be done but it is a risky because other players can abuse the slower reload rate on the higher caliber guns. Notable counters to the Trento would be the Graf Spee, and Brooklyn, because they have rounds that can bypass the armor, and higher damage output. enemies that can get firing angles on the rear of the ship will have an easy time disabling the Trento as well. Due to the accurate guns of the Trento and good rounds, targets with ammo racks exposed above water are particularly easy to destroy, such as the Admiral Hipper and Sverdlov.
Designed as a response to the French Duquesne-class cruisers, the Regia Marina developed the Trento class with an emphasis on speed and light armor. The Trento and Trieste would eventually be used in the Mediterranean sea to escort convoys, and support in actions against British forces in the area. Both ships succumbed to torpedo and bombing attacks before the end of the war.
The '''{{Specs|name}}''' is a premium gift rank {{Specs|rank}} Italian motor gun boat {{Battle-rating}}. It was introduced in [[Update "Starfighters"]].
The Sparviero's 10 crew is protected by 8 mm of armor around the hull, and 3 mm of armor around the superstructure. This lackluster armor isn't substantial enough to protect the ship from constant damage from machine guns or auto cannons. The gun in particular is extremely easy to disable thanks to its size and position on the ship The Sparviero has the best chance for survival when it is on a flanking rout using its high speed to avoid frontal engagements. The gunboat also lacks anti aircraft guns controlled by AI to defend against planes, but that can be countered y loading the variable time shell and shooting manually at aircraft.

=== Mobility ===
<!-- ''Write about the ship's mobility. Evaluate its power and manoeuvrability, rudder rerouting speed, stopping speed at full tilt, with its maximum forward and reverse speed.'' -->
The Spaviero is one of the few ships equipped with a hydrofoil, allowing the gun boat to reach a high speed of 93 km/h when raised out of the water, but while out of the water the ship becomes difficult to maneuver in tight environments. In contrast the Spaviero can only move 20 km/h in reverse, but the hull will remain in the water. While the ships hull is submerged the hydrofoils pose a risk of ramming parts of the environment, such as reefs and land under shallow water, so it recommended to learn what positions might pose a threat to beaching the boat.
Broadly describe the ammunition available for the primary armament, and provide recommendations on how to use it and which ammunition to choose.'' -->
{{main|76 mm/62 OTO-Melara Compact (76 mm)}}

Sparviero is equipped with the amazing 76 mm/62 OTO-Melara Compact automatic gun in a single turret on the bow of the boat right before the bridge. The 76 mm gun comes stocked with HE-MOM, SAPOM, and HE_MOM with a variable time fuze. both HE_MOM shells have 15 mm of pen at any range with an explosive mass of 750 g, while the SAPOM can pen 60 mm at a range of 100m with an explosive mass of 455 g. the beast loadout for the Sparviero is half a loadout (or more) or SAPOM, while the rest is dedicated to HE-MOM with variable time fuze. Both HE shells do the same damage towards ships, so it is more desirable to bring the more versatile shell that can also be used against aircraft.

== Usage in battles ==
<!-- ''Describe the technique of using this ship, the characteristics of her use in a team and tips on strategy. If necessary, note the specifics of playing with this vehicle in various modes (AB, RB, SB).'' -->
being one of the fastest boats in naval forces, the Spaviero excels in rushing advantageous positions to defend capture points, and flank enemy routes. The gunboat shouldn't be used for contesting points directly due to its weak crew size, and protection unless the area has already been cleared. the largest threat to the Sparviero are similar hydrofoils and faster patrol boats such as the PG02, and the PT 811 which can contest the Sparviero from reaching flanking spots.using their superior speed and firepower. Similarly tiered destroyers such as the Clemson also pose a threat because there main armament can hull break the smaller gunboat.
The Attilio Regolo lacks substantial armor opting to use the lack of weight to improve the speed of the ship, this leaves areas such as the engines, ammo, and Bridge susceptible to damage from shells as small as destroyer he fired from a Clemson. however the front of the turrets are protected by 20mms of armor, while the sides and roof are protected by 6mms of armor. This use of small armor allows the turrets to not be splashed by destroyers he rounds, but direct hits will disable the ships armament. the bridge is also surrounded by 15mms of armor, which is not reliable in protecting the module. the greatest threat to the survivability of the ship is the exposed torpedoes on the middle of the deck, when hit they will quickly incapacitate the ship, removing the use of almost every module past the bridge, if the player can disengage from combat the ship can be recovered with at best a little over half the crew, but if it happens in the middle of a fight the ship will almost always be unrecoverable from fire, and flooding.

=== Mobility ===
<!-- ''Write about the ship's mobility. Evaluate its power and manoeuvrability, rudder rerouting speed, stopping speed at full tilt, with its maximum forward and reverse speed.'' -->
The Attilio Regolo at a max speed of 72km/h is tied with the Raimondo Montecuccoli as the fastest cruiser in game. This impressive Speed allows the ship to navigate towards advantageous positions before its adversaries.

{{main|135 mm/45 O.T.O. Mod. 1938 (135 mm)}}

The 8 135 mm/45 O.T.O Mod. 1938 are divided into 4 turrets allowing the ship to use at least half of its armament at any angle. The HE Dirompente is underwhelming with only 23 mm of pen at any angle, and an explosive mass of 1.8 kg. this shell is unreliable and should be avoided after the APHEBC Perforante, and the HE-TF Contro-aerea shells are unlocked. The APHEBC Perforante is the most reliable shell used on the Attilio Regolo with a penetration of 174 mm at a 1000m, and an explosive mass of 1.47 kg. The HE-TF Contro-aerea shell shares almost all of its stats as the HE Dirompente, but has a time fuze added to it for use as an AA shell, with its versatility as an anti air shell, and a normal he shell this is the second most reliable shell to have added.
For secondary armament the Attilio Regolo is armed with 8 37 mm/54 Breda Mod.39 auto cannons, and 4 20 mm/70 Scotti-Isotta Fraschini Mod.1939 auto cannons in double mounts. these secondary auto cannons are effective as anti air under control of the ai, but will need to be used by the player if they want to be used to destroy torpedo boats effectively.
<!-- ''Torpedo launchers are standard equipment on many ships and boats. Torpedoes are a significant means of defeating an opponent.
the 533 mm steam turbined torpedo S.I. 270/533,4X7,2 Tipo M torpedoes has an explosive mass of 270 kg, and a range of 12 km at 74 km/h with torpedo mode enabled, while it goes 4 km at a speed of 4 km when the torpedo mode is disabled. The torpedoes are best used as a tool to force opponents to avoid areas such as channels. If the player does not use torpedoes often then it is recommended to not bring them as they can be destroyed as an external ammo rack causing catastrophic damage.

The general game play of the Attilio Regolo is most similar to a destroyer then a light cruiser. The lack of meaningful armor means that it is fairly weak in a head on engagement, but they can easily be avoided thanks to its incredible top speed. The ship has two general play styles that fit it well, the first being a light brawler fighting for caps, and the second being a flanking support ship. The main threats to the Attilio Regolo are heavier cruisers than itself, such as the Emden and Trenton, as well as destroyers with higher fire rates such as the Sumner or Tashkent. The best way to counter cruisers such as the Emden is by simply avoiding the conflict using the ships high speed and smoke, or by using the ships decent torpedo load out to destroy them when they are unaware of you. Destroyers can best be dealt with by using terrain to your advantage to protect yourself from incoming fire, and retaliate while in safety of islands. The most vulnerable spot of the Attilio Regolo is its extra torpedo storage in the middle of the ship, this can best be protected by keeping the bow of the ship centered on an enemy you are fighting. While being in a broadside allows the ship to bring more of its firepower to use, it also exposes the external torpedoes that can quickly be set off destroying the ship.
The Attilio Regolo was a Capitani Romani class light cruiser designed to counter and catch the Mogador, and Le Fantasque class French destroyers in 1939. On November 7th 1942 the ship was torpedoed by the British sub HMS Unruffled, which caused the ship to be dry docked until the armistice with a shattered bow. After the war the Regolo was transferred to the French navy and renamed the Chateaurenault (D 606) as a war reparation, before finally being decommissioned in 1961.
The '''{{Specs|name}}''' is a rank {{Specs|rank}} Italian light cruiser {{Battle-rating}}. It was introduced in [[Update "Starfighters"]].

== General info ==
=== Survivability and armour ===

=== Mobility ===
This impressive Speed allows the ship to navigate towards advantageous positions before its adversaries

== Armament ==
=== Primary armament ===
{{main|135 mm/45 O.T.O. Mod. 1938 (135 mm)}}

=== Secondary armament ===
{{main|37 mm/54 Breda Mod.39 (37 mm)|20 mm/70 Scotti-Isotta Fraschini mod.1939 (20 mm)}}

=== Torpedo armament ===
{{main|S.I. 270/533,4X7,2 Tipo M (533 mm)}}

the 533 mm steam turbined torpedo S.I.

== Usage in battles ==
While being in a broadside allows the ship to bring more of its firepower to use, it also exposes the external torpedoes that can quickly be set off destroying the ship

While being in a broadside allows the ship to bring more of its firepower to use, it also exposes the external torpedoes that can quickly be set off destroying the ship
The '''{{Specs|name}}''' is a rank {{Specs|rank}} Italian light cruiser {{Battle-rating}}. It was introduced in [[Update "Starfighters"]].

== General info ==
=== Survivability and armour ===

=== Mobility ===
This impressive Speed allows the ship to navigate towards advantageous positions before its adversaries
While being in a broadside allows the ship to bring more of its firepower to use, it also exposes the external torpedos that can quickly be set off destroying the ship
While being in a broadside allows the ship to bring more of its firepower to use, it also exposes the external torpedos that can quickly be set off destroying the ship
