Description
<!-- Write an introduction to the article in 2-3 small paragraphs. Briefly tell us about the history of the development and combat using the weaponry and also about its features. Compile a list of air, ground, or naval vehicles that feature this weapon system in the game. -->
The Army-Navy Model 3, or AN/M3 for short, was a 20 mm aircraft-mounted autocannon used by both the US Army Air Forces (later the USAF) and US Navy. The cannon was based on the British Hispano Mk.V, itself a modification of the Swiss Hispano-Suiza H.S.404. Compared to its earlier cousin, the AN/M2, the AN/M3 had a faster rate of fire and used lubricated, percussion-primed ammunition that was less prone to jamming, which was a major problem on the Hispano Mk.II. Lubrication was provided by a pump that dropped semi-fluid lubricating oil (LSA) onto the rounds before firing. The gun had a gas-assisted blowback operation, with recoil being used to load the next round.

The US Navy extensively used the AN/M3 on fighters starting in late WW2 and until the 1950s, when they were replaced by more modern cannons and air-to-air missiles. The cannon was mounted, usually 2 to a wing, on planes such as the F4U-4B and later versions of the Corsair, the Grumman F8F-1B Bearcat, and the F9F Panther jet fighter.

Comparison with analogues
<!-- Give a comparative description of cannons/machine guns that have firepower equal to this weapon. -->

* MG 151/20 - Powerful Minengeschoss shells are superior to AN/M3 ammunition. However, the AN/M3 has a faster fire rate and about 30 m/s faster shell velocity, making ranged shots easier. The AN/M3 also has more hitting power and is more consistent than its German cousin. In addition, the AN/M3 cannons are far more accurate.
* Hispano Mk.V- As the AN/M3 is an American copy of the Hispano Mk V, these two weapons are almost completely identical. Historically, the AN/M3 was more prone to jamming than its British counterpart.
* AN/M2- Superior in every way. The AN/M3 is more reliable and has a higher fire rate compared to its older brother.

Usage in battles
<!-- Describe the cannon/machine gun in the game - its distinctive features, tactics of usage against notable opponents. Please don't write a "guide" - do not impose a single point of view, but give the reader food for thought. -->
The high fire rate of this cannon makes it a great choice for engaging almost any enemy fighter or bomber. The only limitation is the pilot's skill and the speed and maneuverability of the plane it is mounted on. The HEF-I (High Explosive Fragmentation - Incendiary) round can easily rip wings into shreds or set fuel tanks on fire. However, it is important to fire in short bursts, as the high fire rate will drain your ammunition. Though not as prone to jamming as the AN/M2 before it, the AN/M3 can still jam easily if the New 20mm Cannons modification is not yet unlocked.

Pros and cons
<!-- Summarise and briefly evaluate the weaponry in terms of its characteristics and combat effectiveness. Mark pros and cons as a list. -->

Pros:

* HEF-I ammo is great for tearing up wings and other modules
* High fire rate
* Often 4 cannons are present on the aircraft, providing massive amounts of firepower
* Stealth rounds have lots of HEF-I ammo, with the lack of tracers makes it hard for enemies to evade shots
* Often very generous amount of ammunition, as common on US aircraft

Cons:

* Prone to jamming, especially when stock
* Increased fire rate compared with it's counterparts may deplete ammo reserves far faster
* Horrific stock accuracy

The name is a Rank rank gift German fighter Battle-rating. A coupon for the vehicle could be obtained during the 2018 Festive Quest for ten Christmas toys for pilots earned during the event. This variant receives a high altitude supercharger meaning it will exceed in performance at higher altitudes, this is complimented by its decent climb rate. But this plane sacrifices 2 wing mounted cannons for enhanced flight capability.

General info
Flight Performance
<!-- Describe how the aircraft behaves in the air. Speed, manoeuvrability, acceleration and allowable loads - these are the most important characteristics of the vehicle. -->
This aircraft has a very unique play style in regards to the other 190s.It can turn reasonably well at most speeds, having turning capabilities akin to that of the 1st 190 in the tech tree, albeit at a major cost in energy. This fighter has a mediocre climb rate, around 15.6 m/s (RB/SB) which is below average for the BR range it sits in. The most unique feature this aircraft possesses is its supercharger allowing it to perform at altitudes well above 7km.

This 190 has a fairly slow top speed at sea level, so you won't see it running away from most planes but at high altitudes, it is reasonable fast.

Like any other 190, the roll rate is exceptional allowing for good firing solutions during dives and good defensive flying capabilities. As mentioned before, the turning capability of the 190 is fairly decent and not something to glance over. Although, it can't function as a dedicated turn fighter, it can perform very well in dogfights. In addition, the 190 has a very low stall speed which is a good asset to have in vertical dogfights. Another point to mention is that this 190 has an off-centre off mass (possibly due to the intake at the bottom of the plane) which is very noticeable during low speed maneuvers.
This plane is not suited for close quarters dogfighting, but despite its low mass excels at energy fighting. It will not last long in a turn fight. The front armored glass plate of the cockpit is 57mm thick, and the pilot is protected from the rear by 2 plates, 8mm and 12mm thick respectively. The engine is prone to damage in head on's due to the lack of armour protection around the engine cowling.

Armaments
Offensive armament
<!-- Describe the offensive armament of the aircraft, if any. Describe how effective the cannons and machine guns are in a battle, and also what belts or drums are better to use. If there is no offensive weaponry, delete this subsection. -->
The Fw-190 C receives 2 MG/151 20mm cannons mounted in the inner wings behind the propeller, and 2 MG17 7.92mm machine guns mounted in the nose, the standard for German aircraft at this point in the tree. The 20mms get 500 rounds of ammo with their respective belts making them considerably deadly and optimal for longer battles. The MG17s get 1800 rounds of ammo but do lesser amounts of damage, best used in combination with the 20mms, but can be used to effectively peck damage lighter aircraft.

Usage in battles
<!--Describe the tactics of playing in an aircraft, the features of using vehicles in a team and advice on tactics. === Pros and cons ===
<!--Summarize and briefly evaluate the vehicle in terms of its characteristics and combat effectiveness. Mark its pros and cons in the bulleted list. Try not to use more than 6 points for each of the characteristics. Avoid using categorical definitions such as "bad", "good" and the like - they can be substituted with softer forms such as "inadequate" and "effective".-->
Pros:

* Exceptional climb rate
* Main armament is deadly and receives a vast quantity of ammunition for prolonged engagements
* Decent turner, can out-turn some fighters it comes up against, but will suffer in turn fights
* Supercharger gives great acceleration and performance at high altitudes
* Premium bonus
* Control surfaces very responsive at extreme speeds
* Incredibly high speed required to rip wings >900km/h

Cons:

* Cannot sustain in prolonged turn fights
* Lacks sufficient armour protection, both frontally and from the rear
* Susceptible to fires when fired at by .50 cal rounds from tracer belts in particular
* Even its climb rate can be exceeded by some opponents in an up-tier and even down-tier
* Is outperformed by the Dora series of 190
* Struggles to accelerate past 700km/h, even in a near vertical dive
* Very poor control response during near stall maneuvers

Describe the history of the creation and combat usage of the aircraft in more detail than in the introduction.
