''Talk about the vehicle's armour. Note the most well-defended and most vulnerable zones, e.g. the ammo magazine. Evaluate the composition of components and assemblies responsible for movement and manoeuvrability. Evaluate the survivability of the primary and secondary armaments separately. Don't forget to mention the size of the crew, which plays an important role in fleet mechanics. Save tips on preserving survivability for the "Usage in battles" section. If necessary, use a graphical template to show the most well-protected or most vulnerable points in the armour.''

=== Mobility ===
''Write about the ship's mobility. Evaluate its power and manoeuvrability, rudder rerouting speed, stopping speed at full tilt, with its maximum forward and reverse speed.''

The HMS Belfast has 80.000 shaft horse power. This power is provided by 4 Admiralty oil-fired 3-drum boilers. The 4 propellers are driven by 4 Parsons single reduction geared steam turbines. This gives the Belfast a maximum forward speed of 32 knots (59 km/h) .

== Armament ==
=== Primary armament ===
''Provide information about the characteristics of the primary armament. Evaluate their efficacy in battle based on their reload speed, ballistics and the capacity of their shells. Add a link to the main article about the weapon: <code><nowiki>{main|Weapon name (calibre)}</nowiki></code>. Broadly describe the ammunition available for the primary armament, and provide recommendations on how to use it and which ammunition to choose.''

The HMS Belfast comes with 12 x Ordnance BL 6 inch (152 mm) gun Mk XXIII naval guns. These guns are housed in a turret with 3 guns each and Belfast has 4 of those turrets. Two are facing forward and two are facing backwards. The guns have a rate of fire of eight round per minute and fire three types of shell's. One of them being the S.A.P. Shell. This shell is a effective shell to fight other cruisers. The other one is the HE shell, use this shell to fight Destroyers and small patrol boats. HE can really shred an destroyer apart in 3 salvo's. The last shell is the timed HE shell witch can be used to fight airplanes. However this is not an effective method so I recommend not taking this shell for the main armament. Take around 600 shell's HE and 1800 shell's AP. You will never be out of ammo because the Belfast can carrier around 2200 shell's. So another option is to take less shell's to minimize the chance to get ammo wrecked. 400 HE and 800 AP shell's should be more than enough.

=== Secondary armament ===
''Some ships are fitted with weapons of various calibres. Secondary armaments are defined as weapons chosen with the control <code>Select secondary weapon</code>. Evaluate the secondary armaments and give advice on how to use them. Describe the ammunition available for the secondary armament. Provide recommendations on how to use them and which ammunition to choose. Remember that any anti-air armament, even heavy calibre weapons, belong in the next section. If there is no secondary armament, remove this section.''

Belfast has 4 secondary turrets (2 at each side) containing two Ordnance QF 4 inch (102 mm) gun Mk XVI wich are dual purpose. They can fire 3 types of shell's. An AP shell, HE shell and a times HE-shell. I recommend taking AP shell's (to fight destroyers and smaller patrol boats) and timed HE-shells to fight aviation. The ration AP : timed-HE should be 40-60

=== Anti-aircraft armament ===
When fighting aviation in the Belfast, you have the Ordnance QF 4 inch gun Mk XVI turrets and you do get the British Bofors 40 mm L/60 on Mk VII in dual turrets. In total you have six of those turrets. There is no ammunition you can chose from. You will only get the HE belt and this belt is very effective when shooting down planes.

== Usage in battles ==
HMS Belfast is a very strong cruiser and gives you the ability to fight other cruisers very effectively. However there is a very dangerous cruisers wich should be your main priority to kill. These cruiser are the [[USS Brooklyn (CL-40)]] and [[USS Helena (CL-50)]]. These cruisers can fire 15 shell's and do significant damage to your ship. So when starting a match, make sure you try and kill these cruiser as soon as possible.

A typical cruiser game starts very slow. You and your team mates are spawning in the back and far away from the light fleet. As a cruiser, you need your light fleet because they can cap and win the game. As a cruiser, a lot of places on the map are not accessible. Your ship has a draught of 17 feet 3 inches (5.3 m) so you can't go anywhere you want. Your main goal is to achieve supremacy over the other team in terms of cruiser and destroyer power. Destroyers are very vulnerable against other cruisers so your main goal is to fight these cruisers. Destroyers should help the patrol boats with capping and getting an advantage. When killing other cruiser you make sure your destroyers can fulfill this role. This also means that when the majority of the enemy cruisers is destroyed, you should be focusing on shooting down enemy destroyers. This increases the chance of the survivability of the small fleet to capture the points. Don't be that cruiser captain that is desperate to kill another cruiser that is far away from your fleet and far away from a capture point. The fleet needs you because you can tank a lot of shot's. Stick with your team, make sure that they don't need to worry about big guns so you achieve a victory.

=== Pros and cons ===
'''Pros:'''
* Doesn't flood very easily
* Decent manouvrability

*

'''Cons:'''
* Mediocre turret protection
* Weak bridge protection
* Mediocre barbettes

*

== History ==
''The light cruiser ‘Belfast’ was the next big step in shipbuilding design, following the Manchester cruisers, and, according to experts, this vessel (tied together with her sister ship, the cruiser Edinburgh) was the most advanced light cruiser in the Royal Navy of Great Britain during WWII. Belfast was laid down in 1938, and a year later, the cruiser came into service. The ship initially played a part in the British naval blockade against the German forces during WWII, however, in November 1939, the Belfast struck a mine and spent three years undergoing repairs, during which she also received a number of upgrades. ''

''The modernised light cruiser was then deployed to escort Arctic convoys heading to the USSR, where she fought the German fleet for the first time. In June 1944, the Belfast provided cover for the US landing troops on the well-known D-Day, which took place in Normandy. At the end of World War II, Belfast was sent to the Pacific Ocean, where she joined the British Pacific Fleet. The next combat action the light cruiser saw was the Korean War, in which she participated from 1950 to 1952.''

''After taking part in a number of military operations and missions in Southeast Asia and the Pacific Ocean, the old war dog finally retired from the battlefield in 1963. The era of those ships was over and it seemed that the Belfast was essentially doomed to become scrap metal. However, fortune favoured the cruiser, as a group of enthusiastic war historians, among whom was a former Belfast commander, persuaded the British government to use the ship as a museum of war history. Since 1978, light cruiser Belfast has served as a branch of the Imperial War Museum and is permanently moored on the Thames in London.''
The '''{{Specs|name}}''' is a gift rank {{Specs|rank}} German destroyer {{Battle-rating|1}}. It was introduced in [[Update 1.79 "Project X"]] as part of the fleet closed beta test.

== General info ==
=== Survivability and armour ===
<!--Talk about the vehicle's armour. Note the most well-defended and most vulnerable zones, e.g. the ammo magazine. Evaluate the composition of components and assemblies responsible for movement and manoeuvrability. Evaluate the survivability of the primary and secondary armament separately. Don't forget to mention the size of the crew, which plays an important role in fleet mechanics. Tips for preserving survivability should be saved for the "Use in battle" section.

If necessary, use a graphic template to show the most well-protected or most vulnerable points in the armour.-->

The Z-20 Karl Galster is not a very well protected Destroyer. Unlike for example the [[Cowell (DD-547)]] (which possess some armor) the Z-20 has nothing to protect herself from enemy fire. The gun turrets are not fully shut (they are open at the back) which means that enemy HE fire will very easily knock out these turrets. So the [[Tashkent (leader)]] does have fully protected turrets so it's way harder to knock out these turrets. But armor doesn't really matter to much for a DD because they are to small to have effective armor, but the Z-20 feels very weak in terms of armor overall. If you play a [[Tashkent (leader)]] you will experience way more survivability because the crew members are better protected.

The bridge of the Z-20 is very bad protected either. You will often get hit because it's a tempting target for enemy's. You lose the ability to steer your ship and they will incapacitate a lot of bridge crew. Your ammo magazines has no armor at all but is under the waterline. This is very good because HE shells won't be able to get to these magazines which gives the Z-20 more survivability. However cruisers with their 155/203 mm AP shell's are able to travel to these magazines and will result in a citadel detonation.

So what does make the Z-20 a good destroyer? It's the speed and agility which makes her a great ship to play. Because you have good mobility (see the '''Mobility''' paragraph below) you can move quickly and support the smaller ships. You are a good escort for cruisers as well but make sure you are not first in line! The mobility allows you to take effective evasive manoeuvres which makes you a hard target to shoot at. In combination with your main guns, you can be a pain for the enemy team.

The crew size of the Z-20 consists of 323 people which is more than most of the other destroyers. However this number can be deceived. Again the Z-20 has some weak protected parts where a lot of crew members can be knocked out if they are hit in that certain spot.

So the primary armament is quite weak in terms of protection and this should be noted. When your enemy lands an HE shot at the turret, a lot of crew members will be incapacitated and the gun will almost certainly be knocked out. The secondary armaments aren't better protected but there are less crew members. So they will be knocked out but the armaments aren't knocked out very often. So that's a big plus point.

=== Mobility ===
<!--Write about the ship's mobility. Evaluate its power and manoeuvrability, rudder rerouting speed, stopping speed at full tilt, with its maximum forward and reverse speed.-->

The powerplant of the Z-20 consists of Six Wagner boilers to produce steam. This steam goes through two Wagner steam turbine sets, each driving one propeller shaft. This gives the Z-20 69.000 shaft horse power driving the ship through the seas with a speed of 36 knots (67km/h; 41 mph) forward. The rudder is very good as well and gives you the ability to turn the ship quickly. The mobility is one of the things that make the Z-20 a great destroyer.

== Armament ==
=== Primary armament ===
<!--Provide information about the characteristics of the primary armament. Evaluate their efficacy in battle based on their reload speed, ballistics and the capacity of their shells. Add a link to the main article about the weapon: <code><nowiki>{{main|Weapon name (calibre)}}</nowiki></code>. Broadly describe the ammunition available for the primary armament, and provide recommendations on how to use it and which ammunition to choose.-->
{{main|SKC/34 (127 mm)}}

The Z-20 has 5 12.7-centimeter (5.0 in) SK C/34 guns, two each superimposed, fore and aft of the superstructure. The fifth mount was positioned on top of the rear deckhouse. So there are 2 guns facing forward and 3 facing backward. This is a disadvantage in comparison to other destroyers. The [[Haida (G63)]] and [[Tashkent (leader)]] do have two double mounted gun turrets at the front of the ship. This gives them the ability to go nose in and fire 4 shells in one salvo. So they don't suffer to much when they protect their broadside. The Z-20 has to give some broadside to fire all 5 guns. You can compensate this problem by using the tactic "kiting". So what you want to do, is fire a salvo and go nose in. When your guns are almost done reloading, turn the ship again to fire all the 5 guns and repeat. The rudder allows you to do this but it only works when you are actively sailing your ship.

What's another disadvantage is that you only have 5 guns. The [[Haida (G63)]], [[Tashkent (leader)]], [[IJN Akizuki]], [[Sumner (DD-692)]] and some more destroyers all have 6 or 8 guns. You only have 5 guns which put you in a difficult position when knife fighting these destroyers. So the best thing you can do is to make sure you pick the fight, not the enemy. This is quite hard but use the terrain and teammates to fight the enemy(s). Do not ever try to destroy a cruiser with your guns. There is no hope you can take a cruiser on your own with your guns. You will do minimal damage and the cruiser will destroy you quite easily. Only when you can preform a torpedo strike, go for the cruisers. But make sure it will have success. If you are sailing with another cruiser, you can support him by shooting at the enemy cruiser but make sure you are second of third in line.

The gun's have not the best firing arcs. You can only hit targets effectively under the range of 8 km. If the distance becomes greater than 8 km the shell will take 16 seconds to reach the target. You will have a minimal chance of getting a hit and you will waste ammo.

As for ammo, you can take 600 pieces maximum. The Z-20 comes with 3 types of Ammo being: Sprgr. L/4.4 Kpf.Z, Sprgr. L/4.4 Bd.Z and the Sprgr. L/4.4 Zt.Z. So the Kpf.Z shell is the High Explosive shell and will do the most damage to most of the ships. I recommend taking about 400 shell's of the Kpf.Z because this is the shell you will be firing most of the times. Take about 200 shells of the Bd.Z because these can penetrate cruiser more effectively. I don't recommand taking the Zt.Z because these are times HE shell's. These are only usefull against planes but the main guns of the Z-20 don't allow you to fire effectively against planes. When you fire these times shells against ships, they will explode before they even hit the ship.

=== Secondary armament ===
<!--Some ships are fitted with weapons of various calibres. If there is no secondary armament, remove this section.-->
{{main|FlaK-Lafette C/36 (37 mm)}}

The secondary armament consists of 4 3.7-centimeter (1.5 in) SK C/30. These guns are very good at shredding patrol boats and are a great addition to the Z-20. They fire quickly for 3.7-centimeter guns. They also act as aa guns and they also do really well. Because they can fire both at boats and planes, it's recommended to use the universal belt. This belt consists of both HE shells (for the planes) and AP shells (for the patrol boats and other destroyers). You can also select the AP belt (3 times AP and 1 HE) or the HE belt (3 times HE and 1 AP). Don't take manual control of the secondary's because the AI does the job quite well. If you let the AI fire the main guns, you will lose effectiveness.

=== Anti-aircraft armament ===
<!--An important part of the ship's armament responsible for air defence. Anti-aircraft armament is defined by the weapon chosen with the control <code>Select anti-aircraft weapons</code>. Talk about the ship's anti-air cannons and machine guns, the number of guns and their positions, their effective range, and about their overall effectiveness – including against surface targets. If there are no anti-aircraft armaments, remove this section.-->
{{main|C/38 (20 mm)|Vierlingsflak C/38 (20 mm)|Flakzwilling MG C/38 (20 mm)}}

Unlike other ship's of the Type 1936 class (which the Z-20 belongs to), the Z-20 has reinforced AA armament. So the 4 3.7-centimeter (1.5 in) SK C/30 guns act as AA, but the Z-20 also has: 6 2-centimeter (0.8 in) C/30 and a quadruple 2 cm Flak 30/38/Flakvierling. This gives the Z-20 some solid AA so you have the ability to shoot down planes very effectively. You can either select a universal belt (2 HE, 2 AP), AP belt (1 HE, 3 AP) and a HE belt (3 HE, 1 AP). I recommend to use the HE belt because these guns should be used to shoot down planes. Only the SK C/30's can be used to fight other ships.

=== Torpedo armament ===
<!--Torpedoes launchers are standard equipment on many ships and boats. Torpedoes are a significant means of defeating an opponent. Evaluate the position of the torpedo launchers, discuss the ammunition available, firing specifics such as dead zones, features of the torpedoes themselves, etc. If there is no torpedo armament, remove this section.-->
{{main|G7a}}

The Z-20 is equipped with 2 quadruple 53.3-centimeter (21.0 in) torpedo tubes which carries the G7a torpedo. This torpedo has a speed of 81 km/h and a maximum range of 6 km. It takes 50m to arm the torpedo. Onboard is 358.4 kg TNT which causes a significant blow.

=== Special armament ===
''Depth charges, mines, rocket launchers and missiles are also effective in skilled hands and can be an unexpected surprise for an opponent. Evaluate the ammunition of this type of armament and rate its performance in combat.''

== Usage in battles ==
''Describe the technique of using this ship, the characteristics of her use in a team and tips on strategy. Abstain from writing an entire guide – don’t get try to provide a single point of view, but give the reader food for thought. Talk about the most dangerous opponents for this vehicle and provide recommendations on fighting them. If necessary, note the specifics of playing with this vehicle in various modes (AB, RB, SB).''

=== Pros and cons ===
<!--Summarize and briefly evaluate the vehicle in terms of its characteristics and combat effectiveness. Mark its pros and cons in the bulleted list. Try not to use more than 6 points for each of the characteristics. Avoid using categorical definitions such as "bad", "good" and the like - they have a substitution in the form of softer "inadequate", "effective".-->

Z20 Karl Galster was the fourth of six ships of the 1936 class destroyers laid down in the DeSchiMAG shipyard in Bremen. She was laid down on 14 September 1937 and completed in March 1939. Being part of the final German destroyer class to receive names after WWI sailors, captains, and admirals, the Z20 was also named in honour of Captain Karl Galster. Captain Karl Galster was the commander of the S22 torpedo boat in WWI, who went down with his ship after striking a mine while intercepting a squadron of British ships, including HMS Vindex, near the island of Sylt. During WWII, Z20 Karl Galster took part in various mine-laying operations in the English channel and Baltic sea as well as taking part in the invasion of Denmark and Norway as part of the Operation “Weserübung”. Although the war had claimed her other five sister ships, Karl Galster survived right up until the very end of the war, helping in evacuating German soldiers from coastline ports scattered around the Baltic during the last few days of WWII.

After the German surrender on 8 May 1945, Z20 returned to her homeport of Kiel and surrendered to the British. However, her career was not over just yet. In 1946, Z20 Karl Galster was given to the Soviet Union as a war prize and was subsequently renamed to Prochny. She would serve under Soviet command for another decade, until 1956, before being decommissioned ultimately scrapped in the 1950s.
{{break}}
The '''{{Specs|name}}''' is a gift rank {{Specs|rank}} German destroyer {{Battle-rating|1}}. It was introduced in [[Update 1.79 "Project X"]] as part of the fleet closed beta test.

== General info ==
=== Survivability and armour ===

=== Mobility ===
<!--Write about the ship's mobility. Evaluate its power and manoeuvrability, rudder rerouting speed, stopping speed at full tilt, with its maximum forward and reverse speed.-->

The powerplant of the Z-20 consists of Six Wagner boilers to produce steam. This steam goes through two Wagner steam turbine sets, each driving one propeller shafts.

== Armament ==
=== Primary armament ===
{{main|SKC/34 (127 mm)}}

If the distance becomes greater than 8 km the shell will take 10+ (at 12 km the time for a shell to hit will become 16 seconds and this number keeps rising as the distance increases) seconds to reach the target.

=== Secondary armament ===
<!--Some ships are fitted with weapons of various calibres. If there is no secondary armament, remove this section.-->
{{main|FlaK-Lafette C/36 (37 mm)}}

=== Anti-aircraft armament ===
{{main|C/38 (20 mm)|Vierlingsflak C/38 (20 mm)|Flakzwilling MG C/38 (20 mm)}}

I recommend to use the HE belt because these guns should be used to shoot down planes. Only the SK C/30's can be used to fight other ships.
The '''{{Specs|name}}''' is a gift rank {{Specs|rank}} German destroyer {{Battle-rating|1}}. It was introduced in [[Update 1.79 "Project X"]] as part of the fleet closed beta test.

== General info ==
=== Survivability and armour ===

=== Mobility ===

== Armament ==
=== Primary armament ===
{{main|SKC/34 (127 mm)}}

=== Secondary armament ===
<!--Some ships are fitted with weapons of various calibres. If there is no secondary armament, remove this section.-->
{{main|FlaK-Lafette C/36 (37 mm)}}

=== Anti-aircraft armament ===
{{main|C/38 (20 mm)|Vierlingsflak C/38 (20 mm)|Flakzwilling MG C/38 (20 mm)}}

=== Torpedo armament ===
{{main|G7a}}

=== Special armament ===
''Depth charges, mines, rocket launchers and missiles are also effective in skilled hands and can be an unexpected surprise for an opponent. Evaluate the ammunition of this type of armament and rate its performance in combat.''

== Usage in battles ==

=== Pros and cons ===

'''Pros:'''

* Very fast for a destroyer (86 km/h or 46 knots AB, 71 km/h or 38 knots RB)
* Quick reload speed with onboard guns
* Good self defence anti-aircraft capability
* 37mm AA guns are of the fully automatic type, not the semi automatic type you'd find on other German ships
* Has a slim profile
* Strong secondary's against smaller ships

'''Cons:'''

* Main guns lack AP Rounds (Only HE, HE Base Fuse, HE-DF)
* Shells don't have much filler for their caliber.
* Torpedoes are slow and have sub-par warheads
* Quite a squishy ship
* Only has 5 main guns
* Gun turrets are exposed to HE shrapnel

== History ==
<!--''Describe the history of the creation and combat usage of the ship in more detail than in the introduction. If the historical reference turns out to be too big, take it to a separate article, taking a link to an article about the vehicle and adding a block "/ History" (example: <nowiki>https://wiki.warthunder.com/(Vehicle-name)/History</nowiki>) and add a link to it here using the <code>main</code> template. Be sure to reference text and sources by using <code><nowiki><ref></nowiki></code>, as well as adding them at the end of the article.''-->

=== Anti-aircraft armament ===
Unlike other ship's of the Type 1936 class (wich the Z-20 belongs to), the Z-20 has reinforced AA armament.

=== Torpedo armament ===
The Z-20 is equipped with 2 quadruple 53.3-centimeter (21.0 in) torpedo tubes wich carrie the G7a torpedo. This torpedo has a speed of 81 km/h and a maximum range of 6 km. It takes 50m to arm the torpedo. Onboard is 358.4 kg TNT wich causes a significant blow.

=== Special armament ===
''Depth charges, mines, rocket launchers and missiles are also effective in skilled hands and can be an unexpected surprise for an opponent. Evaluate the ammunition of this type of armament and rate its performance in combat.''

== Usage in battles ==

=== Pros and cons ===

'''Pros:'''

* Very fast for a destroyer (86 km/h AB, 71 km/h or 38 knots RB)
* Quick reload speed with onboard guns
* Good self defence anti-aircraft capability
* Torpedoes have a range of up to 14 km (Good for encounter and Naval EC)
* Stealth Belts available for 37mm AA Guns
* 37mm AA guns are of the fully automatic type, not the semi automatic type you'd find on other German ships.

'''Cons:'''

* Main guns lack AP Rounds (Only HE, HE Base Fuse, HE-DF)
* Shells don't have much filler for their caliber.
* Torpedoes are slow and have sub-par warheads

== History ==

{{break}}
The '''{{Specs|name}}''' is a rank {{Specs|rank}} French medium tank {{Battle-rating}}. It was introduced in [[Update 1.89 "Imperial Navy"]].

== General info ==
=== Survivability and armour ===
<!--''Describe armour protection. Note the most well protected and key weak areas. Appreciate the layout of modules as well as the number and location of crew members. Is the level of armour protection sufficient, is the placement of modules helpful for survival in combat?''
''If necessary use a visual template to indicate the most secure and weak zones of the armour.''-->
The Leclerc is a very well protected MBT. It's not as strong as a [[Leopard 2A5]] and doesn't possess the strong [[Challenger 2]] turret. The armour consists of modular composite armour SXXI version include titanium, tungsten and semi-reactive layers. But, the Leclerc has only 3 crew members which is a significant disadvantage. However, this doesn't mean that you have weak armour and poor survivability, in fact, the Leclerc is one of the best-protected tanks in the game. The turret has a big weak spot being the box-shaped gun mantlet. Every MBT is able to penetrate this box and when they do, you will lose your gun breech almost every time. The cheeks are strong so it's not likely that you will be penetrated through these. The upper front plate is also quite strong and will help you a lot of the time. The sides and back of the Leclerc are very weak and every SPAA is able to do significant damage or will knock out the tank. The lower front plate is also very weak so take care of your driver!

Although the Leclerc has only 3 crew members, the French Engineers made sure when they designed the tank, that the crew would be in such a position that the chances of being killed are as little as possible. This means that when you do get penetrated, it's likely that only 1 crew member will be knocked out. If the Leclerc didn't have an autoloader, this would be a problem because the fire rate would be dropping quite a bit. This means that the reloading process will not be reset and the fire rate will stay at 6 seconds.

Because the Leclerc has a good engine, you have very good speed. This makes the survivability of the Leclerc very good because aiming at you will become harder.

In addition, the Leclerc has blown out panels in the back of the turret. That means that if a shell is fired through the side of the turret, the tank will survive.

Long story short. The Leclerc has very decent armour and good survivability. This makes the Leclerc a deathly tank and should not be underestimated!

=== Mobility ===
<!--''Write about the mobility of the ground vehicle. Estimate the specific power and manoeuvrability, as well as the maximum speed forwards and backwards.''-->
The Leclerc has V8X SACM (wärtsilä) 8-cylinder diesel engine which is able to produce 1500 hp. The transmission is an Automatic SESM with 8 gears. This gives the Leclerc a hp to ton ratio of 27.52. This makes the Leclerc a very manoeuvrable tank which is a very big plus point. The Leclerc has an average road speed of +50 km/h and 40 km/h off-road. The mobility can be used to drive quickly from point to point and gives the tank the ability to take strategic positions at the beginning of the match. The traverse rate of the Leclerc is decent and will do the job quite well.

== Armaments ==
=== Main armament ===
<!--''Give the reader information about the characteristics of the main gun. Assess its effectiveness in a battle based on the reloading speed, ballistics and the power of shells. Do not forget about the flexibility of the fire, that is how quickly the cannon can be aimed at the target, open fire on it and aim at another enemy. Add a link to the main article on the gun: <code><nowiki>{{main|Name of the weapon}}</nowiki></code>. Describe in general terms the ammunition available for the main gun. Give advice on how to use them and how to fill the ammunition storage.''-->
{{main|GIAT CN120-26 F1 (120 mm)}}

The Leclerc has a GIAT CN120-26/52 120mm tank gun. This tank gun fires either the APFSDS OFL 120 F1 shell or a standard HEAT shell. The APFSDS shell has a very high-velocity which is useful for killing targets at range. It recommended that you research the APFSDS as quickly as possible just like the [[AMX-40]]. When you get the APFSDS, you'll be able to fire the second highest penetrating APFSDS in the game with a penetrating value of 528 mm at 0 degrees. You will have no trouble penetrating the upper front plate of a [[Leopard 2A5]] which is a very big advantage. Shoot this tank at the left side of the upper front plate because you can take out the driver, gunner and commander killing the [[Leopard 2A5]] in one shot. The turret can rotate very quickly and has high elevation and depression rates. Also, the Leclerc has an autoloader. This means that you will be able to fire a shell every 6 seconds (in real life it's 5 seconds but for balancing purposes it's 6 seconds in the game) without the dependency of the loader. This means that if the commander is taken out, the Leclerc will still be able to fire back without a reload nerf. All these factors combined make that the Leclerc is a very good killer and has no trouble fighting any MBT in the game.

=== Machine guns ===
<!--''Offensive and anti-aircraft machine guns not only allow you to fight some aircraft but also are effective against lightly armoured vehicles. Evaluate machine guns and give recommendations on its use.''-->
{{main|M2HB (12.7 mm)}}

Equipped with an M2HB 12.7 mm (.50 calibre) coaxial machine gun. This machine gun is very weak and should not be used to shoot down planes or helicopters. The chance of killing them is very small and the only thing you do is giving away your position. Try to spot enemy's using your machine gun if needed.

==Usage in battles==
<!--''Describe the tactics of playing in the vehicle, the features of using vehicles in the team and advice on tactics. Refrain from creating a "guide" - do not impose a single point of view but instead give the reader food for thought. Describe the most dangerous enemies and give recommendations on fighting them. If necessary, note the specifics of the game in different modes (AB, RB, SB).''-->

The Leclerc is a very strong MBT because of it's armour, speed and powerful gun. This means that the Leclerc is a good cap contester and is able to take caps without trouble. Try to flank your enemy's with your speed. Cover your lower front plate because without a driver you're a sitting duck. Take 22 shell's max in order to keep the storage next to the driver empty. If you take more, the enemy will have no trouble setting the ammunition on fire and blow the tank apart. At the beginning of a match, you need to make sure you take strategic points before the enemy team. This means that you never should rush in. Take care of the mini-map and search for potential weak spots. Try to outflank your enemy in order to push. You can knife fight effectively but it's not desirable. The chance of getting destroyed is very big and it's not worth the risk. But when you do get in a knife fight, the chance of you winning is very big. But then again (and I can't stress this enough), flank your enemy!

I recommend ro research the modules in the following order:

Parts - FPE - Adjustment of fire - Smoke grenade - Crew Replenishment - OFL 120 F1 (APFSDS) - Engine - Transmission - Filters - Artillery Support - .... the rest is your choice.

Again this is a recommendation, the only thing you really need is to get to the OFL 120 F1 as soon as possible. Without this shell the tank is not worth playing.

===Pros and cons===
<!--Summarise and briefly evaluate the vehicle in terms of its characteristics and combat effectiveness. Mark its pros and cons in a bulleted list. Try not to use more than 6 points for each of the characteristics. Avoid using categorical definitions such as "bad", "good" and the like - use substitutions with softer forms such as "inadequate" and "effective".-->

'''Pros:'''

* Has an autoloader
* Possess advanced protection of composite armour in turret and hull
* Perfect dynamics of armour, firepower, and mobility
* Good crew layout
* Good mobility

'''Cons:'''

* Small crew of three
* Big weak spot at the gun mantlet
* No ESS

Development of the Leclerc main battle tank dates back to 1964, when the French military initiated a study on possible replacements for the AMX-30 tank, about to be introduced into service at the time. By the early ‘70s, the inferiority of the AMX-30 compared to more modern Soviet T-series MBTs had become obvious. As a result, work on developing a replacement officially began, with first specifications being drawn up by 1977.

In 1980, France and Germany began joint development of a new main battle tank. However, similarly to the previous Europanzer development decades ago, the joint effort quickly came to an end shortly afterwards due to various disagreements, with France continuing work on its own.

The new main battle tank was intended to offer cutting-edge performance by making use of the latest equipment available. However, as the per unit price was projected to be substantial, France sought partnership with another state to reduce these costs. Eventually, a partnership was established with the UAE, who would be the second and only other primary operator of the new tank, other than France itself.

Thus, in 1986 the tank received its name “Leclerc”, with six initial prototypes being produced. Mass production subsequently started in 1990 and went on until 2007. During production, the Leclerc was built in various batches and series, each introducing various tweaks and changes to the design, while some also incorporated major upgrades.

The Leclerc saw service as part of a number of UN peacekeeping missions, primarily in Kosovo and Lebanon, with reported favourable performance. Most recently, the UAE deployed a number of its Leclercs to Yemen, with some vehicles getting damaged. As of the end of production in 2007, a total of around 860 Leclercs were built for both French and UAE forces combined.

== Armaments ==
=== Main armament ===
{{main|GIAT CN120-26 F1 (120 mm)}}

=== Machine guns ===
<!--''Offensive and anti-aircraft machine guns not only allow you to fight some aircraft but also are effective against lightly armoured vehicles. Evaluate machine guns and give recommendations on its use.''-->
{{main|M2HB (12.7 mm)}}

==Usage in battles==

Take 26 shell's max in order to keep the storage next to the driver empty.

Again this is a recommendation, the only thing you really need is to get to the OFL 120 F1 As soon as possible. Without this shell the tank is not worth playing.

The '''{{Specs|name}}''' is a rank {{Specs|rank}} French medium tank {{Battle-rating}}. It was introduced in [[Update 1.89 "Imperial Navy"]].

== General info ==
=== Survivability and armour ===

Leclerc's crew layout is very good. Because you only have 3 crew members means that they are spread out through the tank and when you do get penetrated, it's likely that only 1 crew member will be knocked out.

=== Mobility ===
<!--''Write about the mobility of the ground vehicle. Estimate the specific power and manoeuvrability, as well as the maximum speed forwards and backwards.''-->
The Leclerc has V8X SACM (wärtsilä) 8-cylinder diesel engine which is able to produce 1500 hp. The transmission is an Automatic SESM with 8 gears. This gives the Leclerc a hp to ton ratio of 27.52. This makes the Leclerc a very manoeuvrable tank which is a very big plus point. The Leclerc has an average road speed of +50 km/h and 40 km/h off-road. {{break}}
The '''{{Specs|name}}''' is a rank {{Specs|rank}} French medium tank {{Battle-rating}}. It was introduced in [[Update 1.89 "Imperial Navy"]].

== General info ==
=== Survivability and armour ===
The armor consists of modular composite armor SXXI version include titanium, tungsten and semi-reactive layers. Also the Leclerc has only 3 crew members wich is a significant disadvantage. However this doesn't mean that you have weak armour and poor survivability, in fact the Leclerc is one of the best protected tanks in the game. The turret has a big weakspot being the box-shaped gun mantlet. Every MBT is able to penatrate this box and when they do, you will lose your gun breech almoste every time.

The Leclerc's crew layout is very good. Because you only have 3 crew members means that they are spread out through the tank and when you do get penetrated, it's likely that only 1 crew member will be knocked out. If the Leclerc didn't have a auto loader, this would be a problem because the fire rate would be dropping quite a bit. This means that the reloading procces will not be reset and the fire rate will stay at 6 seconds.

Because the Leclerc has a good engine, you have very good speed. This makes the survivability of the Leclerc very good because aiming at you will become harder.

In addition, the Leclerc has blow out panels in the back of the turret. That means that if an shell is fired through the side of the turret, the tank will survive.

Long story short. The Leclerc has very decent armor and good survivability. This makes the Leclerc a deathly tank and should not be underestimated!

=== Mobility ===
<!--''Write about the mobility of the ground vehicle. Estimate the specific power and manoeuvrability, as well as the maximum speed forwards and backwards.''-->
The Leclerc has V8X SACM (wärtsilä) 8-cilinder diesel engine wich is able to produce 1500 hp. The transmission is a Automatic SESM with 8 gears. This gives the Leclerc a hp to ton ratio of 27.52. This makes the Leclerc a very maneuverable tank wich is a very big plus point. The Leclerc has an avarage roadspeed of +50 km/h and 40 km/h off-road. The mobility can be used to drive quickly from point to point and gives the tank the ability to take strategic positions in the beginning of the match. The traverse rate of the Leclerc is decent and will do the job quite well.

== Armaments ==
=== Main armament ===
{{main|GIAT CN120-26 F1 (120 mm)}}

The Leclerc has a GIAT CN120-26/52 120mm tank gun. This tank gun fires either the APFSDS OFL 120 F1 shell or a standard HEAT shell. The APFSDS shell has a very high velocity wich is usefull for killing targets at range. It recommended that you research the APFSDS as quickly as possible just like the [[AMX-40]]. When you get the APFSDS, you'll be able to fire the second highest penetrating APFSDS in the game with a penetrating value of 528 mm at 0 degrees. You will have no trouble penetrating the upper front plate of a [[Leopard 2A5]] wich is a very big advantage. Shoot this tank at the left side of the upper front plate because you can take out the driver, gunner and commander killing the [[Leopard 2A5]] in one shot. The turret can rotate very quickly and has high elevation and depression rates. Also, the Leclerc has an autoloader. This means that you will be able to fire a shell every 6 seconds (in real life it's 5 seconds but for balancing purposes it's 6 seconds in the game) without dependency of the loader. This means that if the commander is taken out, the Leclerc will still be able to fire back without a reload nerf. All these factors combined make that the Leclerc is a very good killer and has no trouble fighting any MBT in the game.

=== Machine guns ===
<!--''Offensive and anti-aircraft machine guns not only allow you to fight some aircraft but also are effective against lightly armoured vehicles. Evaluate machine guns and give recommendations on its use.''-->
{{main|M2HB (12.7 mm)}}

Equipped with an M2HB 12.7mm (.50 calibre) coaxial machine gun. This machine gun is very weak and should not be used to shoot down planes or heli's. The chance of killing them is very small and the only thing you do is giving away your position. Try to spot enemy's using your machine gun if needed.

==Usage in battles==
The Leclerc is a very strong MBT because of it's armor, speed and powerfull gun. This means that the Leclerc is a good cap contester and is able to take caps without trouble. Try to flank your enemy's with your speed. Cover your lower front plate because without driver you're a sitting duck. Take 26 shell's max in order to keep the storage next to the driver empty. If you take more, the enemy will have no trouble setting the ammunition on fire and blow the tank apart. In the beginning of an match you need to make sure you take strategic point's before the enemy team.

! Tier
|
| Artillery Support||OFL 120 F1||Laser rangefinder

===Pros and cons===

'''Pros:'''

* Has an autoloader
* Possess advanced protection of composite armour in turret and hull
* Perfect dynamics of armour, firepower, and mobility
* Good crew layout
* Good mobility

'''Cons:'''

* Small crew of three
* Big weakspot at the gun mantlet
* No ESS

== History ==
<!--Describe the history of the creation and combat usage of the ground vehicle in more detail than in the introduction. If the historical reference turns out to be too long, take it to a separate article, taking a link to the article about the vehicle and adding a block "/ History" (example: <nowiki>https://wiki.warthunder.com/(Vehicle-name)/History</nowiki>) and add a link to it here using the <code>main</code> template. Be sure to reference text and sources by using <code><nowiki><ref></nowiki></code>, as well as adding them at the end of the article. This section may also include the vehicle's dev blog entry (if applicable) and the in-game encyclopedia description (under <code><nowiki>=== In-game description ===</nowiki></code>, also if applicable).-->

The '''{{Specs|name}}''' is a rank {{Specs|rank}} British medium tank {{Battle-rating}}. This tank was introduced in [[Update 1.87 "Locked On"]].

== General info ==
=== Survivability and armour ===
The Challenger 2 shares the same weak spot's as her predecessor. Your lower front plate is very weak and will not stop any kinetic or chemical round. This makes you vulnerable when you are playing in city maps. If an enemy tank sees you first, you're pretty much a guaranteed death. Now you won't die because of your driver getting knocked out, but the APFSDS or other KE rounds will go to the middle of your tank and hit the charged bags. This problem is not to big when playing in bigger maps with ridge lines. You can park your tank behind them so the enemy can't see and hit your LFP (lower front plate).

Then we have a bigger weak spot on the gun mantlet compared to the Challenger 1. So if the enemy get's a lucky shot, he me shoot through your gun mantlet, killing both the gunner and the loader. It's not the same problem you got on the [[M1A1 Abrams|M1A1]]<nowiki/>where a lucky shot can kill every crew member in your turret. But still, losing your gunner and comander is pretty bad. The turret ring is quite okay. Not to much shell's are going through here so that's not to big of an deal. But still be carefull because it's not impossible to pen the turret ring. The roof top of the turret of the Challenger 2 is a big weak spot. Not because tank's can penetrate it with APFSDS but rocket's and HE/HEAT can do massive damage to your turret crew. The Russian [[T-64A (1971)|T-64A]]/[[T-64B]] and [[T-80B]]/[[T-80U]] do possess a very strong HE shell and got rockets. A well placed shot can kill every crewmember in the turret. When you encounter a helicopter, the same problem accurs but the chance of a fatal hit becomes bigger since the helicopter play can aim his rocket directly into your turret roof. The side of the Challenger 2 is also very weak. Armord fighting vehicles can penatrate your side with their 30mm rapid firing gun's. When a enemy is smart, he will shoot a APFSDS under your turret, in the middle of the tank. He will hit the charged bags and you are done for.

This all might sound like the Challenger 2 has weak armor, but that's certainly not the case. The turret cheeks are very strong. Also your UFP (upper front plate) is way better compared to the previous Challenger 1. Both the cheecks and UFP are impenetrable for the strongest APFSDS shell in the game. The tank is good in a hull down position because people can't aim for your LFP. The tank can take a punch and the armor on the front is really good. If you learn to play it to it's strenghts and try to hide your side and your LFP the Challenger 2 is quite a beast.

=== Mobility ===
<!--Write about the mobility of the ground vehicle. Estimate the specific power and manoeuvrability, as well as the maximum speed forwards and backwards.-->

The Challenger 2 is fitted with a Perkins CV12-6A V12 diesel 26.1-litre engine which produces 1,200 bhp. This gives the Challenger 2 a speed of 56 km/h (35 mph) forward. The transmission is a David Brown TN54E epicyclic transmission, with 6 gears forward and 2 gears backwards. The tank has a mass of 62.5 tons, which gives the tank a horsepower-to-ton ratio of 19.2. This means that your manoeuvrability is worse than most of the other MBT's because of the fact that most other MBT's are having a 1,500 hp engine with less mass. Also, the neutral steering of this tank exacerbates the already low mobility. You get forced into neutral steering at low speeds and because of your low hp-to-ton ratio, neutral steering is really slow.

So the Challenger 2, like other British tanks beforehand, is one of the heaviest MBT that is mated with a weak engine. The stock manoeuvrability makes the tank feel a bit sluggish. However, when you research the manoeuvrability upgrades, the tank has some decent mobility and will get you from A to B quite effectively; but again, not as quickly as some other MBT's so be careful when the game starts. Don't rush to caps and take care of the flanks.

== Armaments ==
=== Main armament ===
<!--Give the reader information about the characteristics of the main gun. Give advice on how to use them and how to fill the ammunition storage.-->
{{main|L30A1 (120 mm)}}

The main gun is a L30A1 120 mm rifled gun. The reload of this gun is 6.5 seconds, which makes this one of the best reloading rates of the MBT's. The angle of elevation allowed by the gun is 20 degrees up and 10 degrees down. The stock turret rotation of this tank is 14.3 degrees per second. However, the vertical aiming speeds are really bad. The gun is accurate and combined with the armour makes the Challenger a good sniper. Because the gun can fire and reload very quickly, enemy's can't shoot you as quickly as you can shoot them. You get the L23A1 stock APFSDS shell. This is a good shell but not special.

The gun fires three-staged ammunition (the loader only puts in the charged bag and round, but because of the firing mechanism it's called three-staged ammunition) which means you have charged bags. This makes the tank very vulnerable against ammunition explosions. It is recommended to take 25 shells max because of the charged bags that can be detonated. When you get the L26 shell, you'll receive 77 mm extra penetration at 500 m. This means you can shoot the upper front plate of a [[Leopard 2A5]] without trouble meaning you can penetrate 2A5's more effectively.
=== Machine guns ===
<!--Offensive and anti-aircraft machine guns not only allow you to fight some aircraft but also are effective against lightly armoured vehicles. Evaluate machine guns and give recommendations on its use.-->
{{main|L94A1 (7.62 mm)|L37A2 (7.62 mm)}}

The Challenger 2 possesses two 7.62 mm machine guns. One of them being the coaxial L94A1, and one roof mounted L37A2 machine gun. These machine guns are weak against aeroplanes, but can shoot down a helicopter. However, you should not use them for AA purposes as the chances of shooting down aircraft/helicopters are relatively small and you will just be giving your position away. These machine guns are also not effective against infantry fighting vehicles. The best way to use your machine guns is to spot enemies for your teammates.

== Usage in battles ==
''Describe the tactics of playing in the vehicle, the features of using vehicles in the team and advice on tactics. Refrain from creating a "guide" - do not impose a single point of view but instead give the reader food for thought. Describe the most dangerous enemies and give recommendations on fighting them. If necessary, note the specifics of the game in different modes (AB, RB, SB).''

The Challenger 2 should be played as a support tank. Try not to rush to cap's without knowing where the enemy is. The Challenger 2 really is not a street fighter or a rusher. The tank is designed for devensive gameplay so it should be played defensifly. When playing in city maps, try to find a spot where you can aim at enemy's but that they can't get behind you very easily. Taking an enemy to the front is the best chance you got in a knife fight. People seem to forget that the challenger 2 has a weak LFP and often try to take out your gun and gun breech. But since it's a knife fight, enemy's will screw up their shots so you may have a chance winning. Taking a shot in the side is never a good option. Try following the American's or Russian's and give them support. You won't be able to do a lot on your own. Take good care of the minimap and try to predict where the enemy will go. If you see a lot of teammembers dying, take note since the change is very big that there will be coming Leopard's 2 coming out of that direction. This all is because of the lack of mobility. The Challenger 2 is not slow, it's just not the fastes tank. The German's and Russian's will be earlyer at the cap's. Play with this thought in mind and if you need to go for a cap, try to scan the area really well before going in. In open map's, try to find a good hulldown position. Don't give the enemy a chance firing at your weak spot's. You don't want to play a fair fight. This is not a tank wich can win a game on it's own. It can do a lot more than the previous Challenger 1, but it's not able to carry games. Ofcourse every writtin here above is a opinion. The best usage in battles is find the best spot's and find your own way. But every way will be the same: defensive.

=== Pros and cons ===
<!--Summarise and briefly evaluate the vehicle in terms of its characteristics and combat effectiveness. Mark its pros and cons in a bulleted list. Work on developing a successor to the Challenger 1 began only a short time after the vehicle entered service with the British armed forces. Already by the mid 1980s, the Vickers company had developed a new MBT as part of a private venture. After requirements for a next-generation MBT have been issued, Vickers immediately submitted their design on the new Challenger 2 to the Ministry of Defence. Having briefly considered the adoption of the M1 Abrams, the Ministry decided to proceed with the Vickers design by ordering the construction of a prototype Challenger 2 for testing and evaluation. The Challenger 2 passed evaluation and met expectations even when put through comparative testing against contemporary MBTs of other nations, such as the American M1 Abrams and German Leopard 2. Satisfied with the test results, the Ministry of Defence adopted the Challenger 2 and placed the first production order in 1993, with the initial batch consisting of 127 tanks in addition to 13 trainer vehicles. The first Challenger 2 tanks were delivered to the tank regiments by 1994. The Challenger 2 participated in several operations during the ‘90s and into the 2000s, ranging from peacekeeping missions on the Balkans to military interventions in Iraq. A number of Challenger 2 MBTs have also been exported to Oman, with this nation being the only operator of the Challenger 2, besides the UK. Production of Challenger 2 tanks seized in 2002 after all pending production orders were fulfilled, with close to 440 vehicles being produced. Since 2008, Challenger 2 tanks have constantly been undergoing modernization work, with a number of upgrade packages being developed. Thanks to these upgrades, the Challenger 2 MBT is expected to serve with the British Army well into the future.
=== Survivability and armour ===
''Describe armour protection. Note the most well protected and key weak areas. Appreciate the layout of modules as well as the number and location of crew members. Is the level of armour protection sufficient, is the placement of modules helpful for survival in combat?''
''If necessary use a visual template to indicate the most secure and weak zones of the armour.''

=== Mobility ===
The Challenger 2 is fitted with a Perkins CV12-6A V12 diesel 26.1 litre engine wich produces 1200 bhp. This gives the Challenger 2 a speed of 35 mph (56 km/h) forwards. The transmission is a David Brown TN54E epicyclic transmission. This transmission has 6 gear forward and 2 gears backward. The tank has a mass of 62.5 tons. This gives the tank a hp to ton ratio of: 20. This means that your manoeuvrability is worse than most of the other MBT's. This because of the fact that most other MBT's are having a 1500 hp engine with a little less mass. Also the neutral steering of this tank makes the mobility not that great. You get foreced into neutral steering at low speeds and because of your low hp to ton ratio, neutral steering is really slow. So the Challenger 2 is the heaviest with the weakest engine. The stock manouvreability makes the tank feel a bit sluggish. However when you research the manouvreability upgrades, the tank has some decent mobility and will get you from A to B quite effectively. But again, not as quickly as some other MBT's. So be careful when the game starts. Don't rush to caps and take care of the flanks.

''Write about the mobility of the ground vehicle. Estimate the specific power and manoeuvrability, as well as the maximum speed forward and backwards.''
The main gun is a L30A1 120 mm rifled gun. The reload of this gun is 6.5 seconds wich makes this one of the best reloading rates of the MBT's. The turret rotation of this tank is 14.3 degrees per second. The vertical guidance is 20 degrees up and 10 degrees down. However the vertical aiming speeds is really bad. The gun is accurate and combined with the armor makes the Challenger a good sniper. Because the gun can fire and reload very quickly, enemy's can shoot you as quickly as you can shoot them. You get the L23A1 stock APFSDS shell. This is a good shell but not special. I suggest you research the mobility upgrades first but that is up to you. The gun fires three staged ammunition (the loader only put's in the charged bag and round but because of the firing mechanism it's called three staged ammunition) wich means you have charged bag's. This makes the tank very vulnerable against ammunition explosion's. I recommend taking 25 shells max because of the charged bags. When you get the L26 shell, you'll recieve 77mm extra penetrationat 500m. This means you can shoot the upper front plate of a Leopard 2A5 without truble meaning you can kill 2A5's more effectifly.

''Give the reader information about the characteristics of the main gun.
=== Additional armament ===
This tank doesn't possess any additional armament. I suggest removing this paragraph.

''Some tanks are armed with several guns in one or more turrets. Evaluate the additional weaponry and advise on its use. Describe the ammunition available for additional weaponry. Advise about how to use them and how to fill the ammunition storage. If there is no additional weaponry remove this subsection.''

=== Machine guns ===
The challenger 2 possesses 2 7.62 mm machine guns. One of them being Coaxial (L94A1) and one roof mounted (L37A2). These machine guns are weak against airplanes but can shoot down a helicopter. However you should not use them for AA purposes. The chance of shooting down aircraft/helicopters is relatively small and you are giving your position away. == Description ==
<!--''In the first part of the description, cover the history of the ship’s creation and military application. In the second part, tell the reader about using this ship in the game. Add a screenshot. If a beginner player has a hard time remembering vehicles by name, a picture will help them understand which ship is being discussed.''-->
The '''{{Specs|name}}''' is a gift rank {{Specs|rank}} German destroyer {{Battle-rating|1}}. It was introduced in [[Update 1.79 "Project X"]] as part of the fleet closed beta test.

== General info ==
=== Survivability and armour ===
''Talk about the vehicle's armour. Note the most well-defended and most vulnerable zones, e.g. the ammo magazine. Evaluate the composition of components and assemblies responsible for movement and manoeuvrability. Evaluate the survivability of the primary and secondary armament separately. Don't forget to mention the size of the crew, which plays an important role in fleet mechanics. Tips for preserving survivability should be saved for the "Use in battle" section.''

''If necessary, use a graphic template to show the most well-protected or most vulnerable points in the armour.''

=== Mobility ===
''Write about the ship’s mobility. Evaluate its power and manoeuvrability, rudder rerouting speed, stopping speed at full tilt, with its maximum forward speed and reverse speed.''

== Armament ==
=== Primary armament ===
''Provide information about the characteristics of the primary armament. Evaluate their efficacy in battle based on their reload speed, ballistics and the capacity of their shells. Add a link to the main article about the weapon: <code><nowiki>{{main|Weapon name (calibre)}}</nowiki></code>.''

''Broadly describe the ammunition available for the primary armament, and provide recommendations on how to use it and which ammunition to choose.''

=== Secondary armament ===
''Some ships are fitted with weapons of various calibres. Secondary armament is defined by the weapon chosen with the control <code>Select secondary weapon</code>. Evaluate the secondary armament and give advice on how to use them. Describe the ammunition available for the secondary armament. Provide recommendations on how to use them and which ammunition to choose. Remember that anti-air armament, even heavy calibre weapons, belong in the next section.''

''If there is no secondary armament, remove this section.''

=== Anti-aircraft armament ===
''An important part of the ship’s armament responsible for air raid defense. Anti-aircraft armament is defined by the weapon chosen with the control <code>Select anti-aircraft weapons</code>. Talk about the ship’s anti-air cannons and machine guns, the number of guns and their positions, their effective range, and about their overall effectiveness – including against surface targets.''

''If there is no anti-aircraft artillery, remove this section.''

=== Torpedo armament ===
''Many ships are armed with torpedo launchers, and for some vessels such as boats, torpedoes are an extremely important means of defeating an opponent. Evaluate the position of the torpedo launchers, discuss the ammunition available, firing specifics such as dead zones, features of the torpedoes themselves, etc.''

''If there is no torpedo armament, remove this section.''

=== Special armament ===
''Depth charges, mines, rocket launchers and missiles are also effective in skilled hands and can be an unexpected surprise for an opponent. Evaluate the ammunition of this type of armament and rate its performance in combat.''

== Usage in battles ==

=== Pros and cons ===
''Summarize and briefly evaluate the vehicle in terms of its characteristics and combat effectiveness. Mark its pros and cons in the bulleted list. Try not to use more than 6 points for each of the characteristics. Avoid using categorical definitions such as "bad", "good" and the like - they have a substitution in the form of softer "inadequate", "effective".''

'''Pros:'''
* Quick reload
* Good AA

*

'''Cons:'''

*

== History ==

In 1946, Z20 Karl Galster was given to the Soviet Union as a warprize and was subsequently renamed to Prochny. She would serve under Soviet command for another decade, until 1956, before being decommissioned ultimately scrapped in the 1950s.
