== Usage in battles ==
<!-- ''Describe situations when you would utilise this bomb in-game (vehicle, pillbox, base, etc)'' -->
The G.P. 1,000 lb Mk.I bomb is one of the most powerful bombs you will get to use before you research aircraft such as the [[Wellington Mk Ic|Wellington Mk. Ic]] with its [[H.C. 4,000 lb Mk.II (4,000 lb)|H.C. 4,000 lb Mk.II]] bomb. The Mk.I is an all-rounder, well-suited for pretty much everything except for hitting moving targets from high altitudes as with most bombs. This bomb is quite powerful and should only really be used against bases or clustered targets such as light pillboxes however, lone AAA should be avoided if possible and reserved for smaller bombs.
