The '''{{Specs|name}}''' is a premium gift rank {{Specs|rank}} German light tank {{Battle-rating}}. It was introduced as a [[wt:en/news/901--en|premium pack]] in [[Update 1.43]] as the ''Pz.Kpfw. II Ausf. H'' (shortened to ''Pz.II H''). In [[Update_1.89_"Imperial_Navy"#Ground_vehicles_2|Update 1.89]], the vehicle was renamed to the current designation. It was purchasable from the store until the [[wt:en/news/7154-shop-may-sale-in-the-gaijin-store-en|2021 May sale]] after which it was removed from sale. It has since been made available for purchase in-game with Golden Eagles {{GE}} temporarily for the [[wt:en/news/7358-special-german-unity-day-en|2021]] and [[wt:en/news/7894-special-german-unity-day-en|2022]] and [[wt:en/news/8506-special-german-unity-day-vehicles-for-ge-and-a-decal-to-celebrate-en|2023]] "German Unity Day" mini-events.
=== Survivability and armour ===
{{Specs-Tank-Armour}}
<!-- ''Describe armour protection. Note the most well protected and key weak areas. Appreciate the layout of modules as well as the number and location of crew members. Is the level of armour protection sufficient, is the placement of modules helpful for survival in combat? If necessary use a visual template to indicate the most secure and weak zones of the armour.'' -->
Having 30 mm of frontal armour, this tank isn't made for the frontline. The three crew members mean that single-shot destruction is a common possibility. Worse still, this tank has no roof protection with the cloth covering being only cosmetic. Unfortunately, this also means that you are very vulnerable to aircraft attacks too. Your demure silhouette will let you easily hide in the small nooks and crannies of maps and lets you cover your entire tank with bushes for extra concealment.
* Belly armour is 5 mm thick.
=== Mobility ===
{{Specs-Tank-Mobility}}
<!-- ''Write about the mobility of the ground vehicle. Estimate the specific power and manoeuvrability, as well as the maximum speed forwards and backwards.'' -->

{{tankMobility|abMinHp=310|rbMinHp=177}}

The {{PAGENAME}} has a power-to-weight ratio of nearly 20 hp/ton which translates to a very mobile and nimble tank. The top speed of 56 km/h (RB) is good but still pales in comparison next to the 90 km/h of the Puma armoured cars. However, its tracks handle much better at high speeds than the Puma's wheels, and it is able to make far tighter turns and faster stops. The maximum reverse speed is -10 km/h, which for a tank is decent and will let you easily get out of perilous situations where other tanks of the same rank struggle when retreating.
== Armaments ==
{{Specs-Tank-Armaments}}
=== Main armament ===
{{Specs-Tank-Weapon|1}}
<!-- ''Give the reader information about the characteristics of the main gun. Assess its effectiveness in a battle based on the reloading speed, ballistics and the power of shells. Do not forget about the flexibility of the fire, that is how quickly the cannon can be aimed at the target, open fire on it and aim at another enemy. Add a link to the main article on the gun: <code><nowiki>{{main|Name of the weapon}}</nowiki></code>. Describe in general terms the ammunition available for the main gun. Give advice on how to use them and how to fill the ammunition storage.'' -->
{{main|PaK38 (50 mm)}}

The 50 mm PaK38 is probably the best gun you can find at this battle rating. The shells have decent penetration, good post pen damage and an incredible APCR round makes this tank able to punch way above its weight. Don't be afraid to take this tank into higher rank battles. Beware, though, it will struggle against the upper front plate of T-34s and Shermans, so remember their frontal weak spots. Not that you should be engaging those tanks frontally anyway. Always bring high explosive rounds, as the lack of any secondary armament makes lighter vehicles harder to fight effectively.
* The visual discrepancy concerns the number of shells per rack:
** For rack 1, 20 shells are modeled for 14 available.
== Usage in battles ==
<!-- ''Describe the tactics of playing in the vehicle, the features of using vehicles in the team and advice on tactics. Refrain from creating a "guide" - do not impose a single point of view but instead give the reader food for thought. Describe the most dangerous enemies and give recommendations on fighting them. If necessary, note the specifics of the game in different modes (AB, RB, SB).'' -->
In battles, it performs well as a scout vehicle with its high mobility in all game modes. It can also function well as a tank destroyer with its high penetration power. It has very little gun depression, which means you won't be able to reliably shoot over hills. It also lacks a machine gun to combat planes and open-topped vehicles, which can be a burden.

It's advised that you keep on the move while using the Pz.Sfl.Ic as any aircraft with guns can take out your turret crew which will knock your vehicle out. Most SPAAs at your BR will also be able to penetrate your hull even frontally, so try to stay out of sight. You are generally safe from .50 cal HMGs although from the rear and non-angled sides they can still penetrate.

In the Pz.Sfl.Ic, you should avoid well-protected tanks like the [[KV-1 (L-11)]], the [[T-34 (1940)]] or the [[M4A3 (105)]] as their armour will make it difficult for your 50 mm cannon to penetrate in an uptier. Your cannon still can go through any of their weak spots. Generally, you should stay on the move and make sure you're not spotted, try to stay off the frontline, but don't be afraid to use your gun if you have to since it's very potent at its BR except against the most armoured targets.

=== Pros and cons ===
<!-- ''Summarise and briefly evaluate the vehicle in terms of its characteristics and combat effectiveness. Mark its pros and cons in a bulleted list. Try not to use more than 6 points for each of the characteristics. Avoid using categorical definitions such as "bad", "good" and the like - use substitutions with softer forms such as "inadequate" and "effective".'' -->

'''Pros:'''

* Has a gun that will reliably penetrate pretty much any of its expected enemies
* Very fast (max speed off-road of around 56 km/h)
* Has a decent reload speed
* Has the scouting ability, which can earn you some extra silver lions and valuable intel for your team
* Because of lack of armour, some shells will pass right through you
* Can change positions very quickly if needed
* Can get to the cap points and good positions early in the match

'''Cons:'''

* Weak armour - trade-off of speed for less weight
* Open-top, planes can destroy the vehicle with machine guns when strafing very easily
* Has very bad depression angles
* Can get slowed down in difficult terrain

== History ==
=== Flight performance ===
{{Specs-Avia-Flight}}
<!-- ''Describe how the aircraft behaves in the air. Speed, manoeuvrability, acceleration and allowable loads - these are the most important characteristics of the vehicle.'' -->
The {{PAGENAME}} boasts of a excellent speed compared to its other counterparts, at least until the [[Shenyang F-5]], [[MiG-17AS]] and [[Hunter FGA.9]] were released as premium vehicles. This aircraft was one of the first Premium jets available for sale, therefore it is unable to carry either air-to-air or air-to-ground missiles. Retaking on speed, this aircraft is quite fast in a straight line but loses a lot of energy and speed especially when facing a turn. Therefore, if in a pursuit, a precise shot with the [[M3 Browning (12.7 mm)]], can wreak havoc on an enemy aircraft. However, these machine guns aren't so powerful in the jet age when compared to 20 mm cannons, emphasizing the importance of firing accurately and making every shot count.

This Sabre fighter is an aircraft with a very special camouflage which identifies it as one of the U.S. Air Force Skyblazers, a USAF acrobatic team. The aircraft then is great in manoeuvres at high speed, which makes it a good aircraft for air combat. You can also use it as well for ground attack if managing the 12 [[HVAR]] rockets it can carry. The only drawback to this manoeuvrability is that you lose quite a lot of speed in a turn. As well, the acceleration isn't great and makes the climb rate inferior to one of the other premium jets or other aircraft in its battle rating.
[[File:F-86F-35 saori takabe 001.jpg|250px|thumb|right|F-86F-35 in the livery of the US Air Force Skyblazers aerobatic team, predecessors to the modern-day Thunderbirds.]]

The F-86F-35's acceleration and top speed are excellent compared to its contemporaries. Along with this the F-86F-35's slats allow the plane to have an outstanding manoeuvrability. That said, one must beware of their speed as pulling high manoeuvres at high and max speed can put the plane under great stress which leads to the wings falling apart. The outstanding manoeuvrability comes at the cost of speed. Pulling hard turns will bleed your air speed. Try to climb up before engaging the enemy to ensure you have enough energy to get out of a sticky situation. Hopefully, there will be a chaotic fight underneath you where you would be able to pounce on low-energy fighters with your guns. One advantage the F-86 has over the jets of other nations is the large ammo count of its 6 x 50 cals (1,800) although it would be wise to hit most of your shots. Try staying above 500 km/h as any slower and you would lose a significant amount of energy in a pro-longed turn.
=== Radars ===

'''Pros:'''

* Turns well at high speeds
* 6 x M3 Browning machine guns, if aimed well, can wreak havoc on nearly any aircraft
* Good dive characteristics
* High top speed for its BR; can outrun the MiG-15
* Decent acceleration

'''Cons:'''

* Poor low speed handling characteristics
* M3 machine guns' high fire rates can quickly use up your ammo
* M3 machine guns will not tear apart enemy aircraft as easily as the 23 mm cannons on the MiG-15
* Slower climb rate compared to the MiG-15
* Tends to quickly bleed off airspeed in a sustained turn

The F-86 Sabre was designed by North American Aviation Company in the mid-late 1940s as an air superiority fighter, entering service in 1949 with the USAF. In 1950, it was deployed to Korea to combat the communist MiG-15s, and went on to score 560 kills to only 78 losses against the MiGs. Post-Korea, it went on to serve many other nations such as Pakistan, Taiwan, and Bolivia, the latter nation retiring its Sabres in 1994. Over 9,000 Sabres were built, including versions built in Canada and Australia, making the F-86 the most-produced Western fighter jet in military history.
== Usage in battles ==
<!-- ''Describe the tactics of playing in the aircraft, the features of using aircraft in a team and advice on tactics. Refrain from creating a "guide" - do not impose a single point of view, but instead, give the reader food for thought. Examine the most dangerous enemies and give recommendations on fighting them. If necessary, note the specifics of the game in different modes (AB, RB, SB).'' -->
The S.O.4050 Vautour IIN should be used with a careful mindset, make sure to pick your targets wisely. You should always load a minimum of 8 minutes of fuel, and take advantage of your jet bomber spawn. Depending on your loadout, there are 2 ways to go for bases. You can either dive bomb from an altitude, allowing you to stay safe from enemy jet fighters who are likely still climbing to altitude. However, as you will be diving from a high altitude, you can potentially risk compressing your own aircraft. To counter this, use your airbrakes and manage your throttle when necessary. Once the base is bombed, you can return straight to the base. The second option is to convert your energy at spawn straight into speed, going as fast as possible to the nearest base, dropping ordnance, and pulling out. This allows you to bomb faster, but leaves you much exposed to the enemy fighters who would be coming out of spawn.

If you are using the Vautour IIN as an air-to-air engagement plane, use your fast acceleration and engine power to your advantage. Many sub-sonic planes will be much slower than you in terms of raw engine power, and you can easily catch up to them, and take them out using your AA-20 NORD air-to-air manually-guided Missiles, or use your 4 x 30 mm cannons mounted on your nose. You will often rely on your teammates to back you up, in case of somebody being on your rear, or being engaged with multiple enemies at the same time. If there are no teammates to help you during any of these situations, you are most likely a sitting duck for many jet fighters. When fighting in air-to-air combat in a Vautour IIN, avoid turning or rolling as much as possible. The Vautour series is well known to have a terrible turn rate. Never engage in a dogfight. Your Vautour IIN cannot handle turning fast enough. Combined with the terrible turn and roll rates, and the risk of ripping your wings with a sustained 7-8G pull, dogfighting is not a job for this plane and should be avoided at all costs.

While the Vautour IIN does not excel in any way during dogfights, during a head-on engagement, or chasing a low-speed plane, the Vautour IIN can shine in many ways. During head-ons, using your 30 mm cannons mounted in the nose of your plane makes it very easy to hit an enemy plane risking a head-on with you. You will just need to remember to turn away from enemy fire earlier than you would with other jets, as the turn rate in the Vautour IIN makes it harder to avoid head-on fire. If your loadout consists of AA-20 NORDs, you can try and fire them during a head-on engagement, as the NORD missiles have a proximity fuse, allowing it to explode, even if it doesn't directly hit the enemy target. Enemies will also be caught off-guard with this, as many people do not expect the Vautour IIN to have such weapons.

=== Pros and cons ===
<!-- ''Summarise and briefly evaluate the vehicle in terms of its characteristics and combat effectiveness. Mark its pros and cons in the bulleted list. Try not to use more than 6 points for each of the characteristics. Avoid using categorical definitions such as "bad", "good" and the like - use substitutions with softer forms such as "inadequate" and "effective".'' -->

'''Pros:'''

* Good acceleration, even fully loaded
* Very good choice of suspended armament (including 2 AS-30 Nord AGMs)
* Have access to a radar
* Powerful 30 mm cannons
* The bomb bay can be used to carry a large number of additional unguided rockets
* The 30 mm DEFA cannons and AA-20 Nord missiles combo excels in head-on attacks

'''Cons:'''

* Doesn't have access to IR-guided missiles, it relies on AA20 Nords manually-guided missiles instead
* The suspended armament is very difficult to aim due to the poor maneuverability of the plane (even the guided missiles)
* At its BR, it frequently faces much faster, more maneuverable and better armed opponents (Harriers, Jaguars, etc.)
* No ballistic computer nor bomb sight, makes the bombs hard to drop in mixed ground battles
* Due to its poor maneuverability, it is very vulnerable to radar AA in mixed ground battles and to IR-guided missiles in air battles
* The wings tend to rip quite easily when turning, if exposed to a constant load of over 7 to 8G
* Strictly subsonic
=== Flight performance ===
{{Specs-Avia-Flight}}

* Turns well at high speeds
* 6 x M3 Browning machine guns, if aimed well, can wreak havoc on nearly any aircraft
* Good dive characteristics
* High top speed for its BR; can outrun the MiG-15
* Decent acceleration

With weak armour that can be penetrated by heavy machine gun fire, any vehicle could suddenly spray bullets and knock out some crew members. The armour is useful against shrapnel and small calibre HE rounds. The poor armour is not crippling as the size and amount of crew members make up for the survivability as you will rarely be knocked out by a single AP shot, especially when fuses won't activate on the thin armour.

'''Pros:'''

* Has amphibious capability
* High rate of fire and very short reload time for the 40 mm cannon
* It has two 12.7 mm machine gun to complement the Bofors cannon
* Versatile, can be used as a light tank or a SPAA
* Large internal volume makes it remarkably survivable despite its thin armour

'''Cons:'''

* Gun depression only limit to -3 degrees
* Tall gun position with only -3 degrees gun depression, prone to close short range attacks
* Big profile makes easier for enemies to spot you
* Light armour and open-topped design make it vulnerable to air attacks, machine gun fire, chemical shells (HE, HEAT) and artillery strikes
* Fuel tanks exposed on the sides and prone to fire when shot

In the wake of WWII, France possessed a large number of American vehicles in its service, including the LVT series of amphibious vehicles. These, along with other armored vehicles, were supplied to France as a short-term solution to rebuild the French military after the war. During the Indochina War of the early 1950's, LVTs in French service were modified to carry the 40 mm Bofors anti-air gun as it proved to be more effective against ground targets than the standard 37 mm cannon. These modified French LVTs also participated in the Suez Crisis of 1956, which also marked their final operational use.
== General info ==
=== Flight performance ===
{{Specs-Avia-Flight}}

=== Pros and cons ===

'''Pros:'''

* Turns well at high speeds
* 6 x M3 Browning machine guns, if aimed well, can wreak havoc on nearly any aircraft
* Good dive characteristics
* High top speed for its BR; can outrun the MiG-15
* Decent acceleration
